| The Paternity Guard (PATERNITY) |
The hot air blew into Shi Qi’s sensitive ears and almost caused him to jump up but he was trapped in Xing Beiming’s arms, “Master!”
“Shh!” Xing Beiming restrained Shi Qi’s struggle as his words carried ambiguity, “This is good for your body. Want to know how to use this thing?”
Shi Qi helplessly struggled a few times.
Could he say he didn’t want to? But Xing Beiming had already started to undress him.
His movements are unusually skilled and easily leave him with only his inner clothes, he even unbuttoned the front and exposed most of his chest. The skin exposed to the chilly air shivered uncontrollably and Shi Qi couldn’t help but shiver.
Xing Beiming also noticed this and wrapped the person in a blanket first then got off the bed to find a heater among the supplies brought by the Shadow Guards. This was a special request from Ke Weiqing but now it was being used by him.
Shi Qi held the blanket while staring blankly at the opened box on the bed and wondering where this thing was supposed to go… it is down there?
Suddenly, his heart raced when he remembered the scene where Master relieved him of the drug’s effects last time, Shi Qi felt a tightening sensation and a pressing urge to escape.
Turning back with the heater, Xing Beiming found his Shadow Guard staring blankly at the small box with his face and ears flushed red. He placed the heater at the head of the bed and ensured that it wouldn’t be accidentally hit and casually lowered the bed curtain. The room dimmed, adding to the mysterious atmosphere.
Xing Beiming lifted the blanket and threw it aside before asking, “Still feeling cold?”
Shi Qi shook his head. As someone who practiced Martial Arts, he was naturally more resistant to cold than ordinary people, especially with a heater nearby. However, the current situation made him uncomfortable.
Even though there had been a couple of intimate encounters before, but thinking about what would happen later made Shi Qi feel a rush of heat all over his body. He reminded himself that this was for the sake of the baby in his belly and endured.
Xing Beiming looked at the half-undressed person in the dim light, at the same time, hearing his slightly hurried breath in the quiet room. His heart was warmed as he leaned down to kiss.
It was not the first time but each time brought a new sensation. Sensing the other’s tentative tongue, Xing Beiming boldly entwined his own.
The sound of gentle water splashing echoed in the dim room. During the long kiss, Shi Qi felt like that the air wasn’t enough.
His hands unconsciously reached for Xing Beiming’s chest to create some distance. Xing Beiming reluctantly stopped the kiss as he saw Shi Qi gasping for air and chuckled, “Silly, don’t you understand the need to breathe?”
As this was the second time experiencing a kiss with his Master, do you think he understands or not?
Shi Qi breathed in the air while thinking, “Is there so much to learn about kissing?”
Xing Beiming’s eyes were fixated on the still moist and swollen lips before irresistibly lowering his head again, “Learn a bit and breathe through your nose.”
Being placed on soft bedding, Shi Qi felt the Master’s movements paused.
Shi Qi looked up in confusion, only to see the Master’s usually cold eyes now filled with deep emotion.
What was the Master looking at?
“Muwah! muwah!”
Two clear kisses landed on Shi Qi’s belly, making his already flushed face burn even more intensely. Even his chest turned completely red and Xing Beiming chuckled deeply, “So shy but why are you also blushing here?”
The Master before Shi Qi was unlike anything they had seen before, with a handsome face adorned with glistening sweat and a cascading black hair framing his chest.
He seemed less cold and more gentle than usual as their deep eyes filled with a heart-pounding fire and almost invited someone to touch him.
The hand that was about to touch Xing Beiming’s cheek suddenly froze.
Xing Beiming looked at the person in a serious manner. Shi Qi jolted awake and was about to pull away but before he could move, his hand was firmly held and the serious expression on Xing Beiming’s face melted away, replaced by a smile. “If you want to touch it, go ahead. This Lord allows it.”
Shi Qi was stunned.
In a daze, Shi Qi was abruptly awakened by a cold sensation and something unfamiliar. Leaning close to Shi Qi’s face, Xing Beiming mischievously asked, “Shi Qi, how does it feel? Can you adapt?”
Shi Qi was extremely uncomfortable at this moment but the cool thing continued its slow movements, causing a restless feeling to surge. Tinged with a hint of distress in his voice, Shi Qi looked at his Master with teary eyes, “It’s cold Master.”
Xing Beiming was shaken by his tone and gaze, which caused his heart to pound rapidly. He placed his hand on his left chest while wondering if he developed some heart problems.
Outside, the cold wind blew fiercely, but inside, there was an air of spring, though everything was concealed behind the bed curtains.
Shi Qi’s limp arm hit the pillow and accidentally touched the warm stove.
Shi Qi groaned softly with his lower body unconsciously tense. Xing Beiming, who had not moved again, controlled himself with great willpower to withdraw from that place and checked his burnt arm carefully. He found that it was not serious and then covered Shi Qi with a blanket before casually grabbing a coat and getting off the bed.
Shi Qi breathed lightly and heard the door open before someone bought something in. The bed curtain was lifted and Xing Beiming naturally picked up Shi Qi.
Shi Qi became stiff and flustered before he struggled, “Master, this subordinates can walk by themselves.”
Ignoring him, Xing Beiming directly carried the person into the bathtub and placed him on his leg. This posture made Shi Qi unsure how to face the close and handsome face before him.
“If you still have strength then leave some for later.” Xing Beiming’s hand covered Shi Qi’s abdomen and felt the slight movement of the child due to the vigorous activity. He said with a pleased mood, “I need to clean up the inside too so endure a little bit.”
———
After washing him, Xing Beiming cleaned up and only let Shi Qi rest when he felt weak. The dirty bedding had already been replaced by the Shadow Guards.
Shi Qi thought about what had happened just now being known by the Shadow Guards and felt extremely complicated.
He settled in the soft blanket while trying to calm down his still intense heartbeat and then realized that the corner of the blanket was lifted and Master was holding something while raising his thigh.
“Master?”
“Don’t move. I just warmed the jade object with hot water, so it shouldn’t be cold.” Taking advantage of the soft state after the recent exploration, Xing Beiming inserted the warm jade object again, then turned around to look at Shi Qi who’s frowning uncomfortably and said softly, “Try it for a night first. If it’s really uncomfortable, then we won’t use it.”
“But since it’s Master Gu’s intention, I…” Before finishing his words, Shi Qi was suddenly hugged by Xing Beiming, causing him to stare blankly at the exposed chest in front of him and unable to say a word.
Xing Beiming held Shi Qi in his arms and gently patted his back. “Sleep now.” Despite the many thoughts weighing on his mind, exhaustion took over.
Shi Qi, who had thought that it would be difficult to fall asleep in his Master’s arms, quickly drifted into a deep slumber. Xing Beiming looked at him with a complex gaze with an unknown light flickering in his eyes.
Finally, he held Shi Qi closer and fell asleep together.
When Shi Qi woke up, Xing Beiming was no longer beside him. His body felt sore and weak, an unfamiliar sensation.
For a moment, Shi Qi didn’t know where they were.
He moved to sit up but a sudden pain from below made him groan softly. It was then that he remembered what had happened last night.
Blushing, he reached down between his legs to touch the slightly exposed root of the jade object and struggled to remove it without causing himself discomfort.
After dressing, there was a knock on the door. Shi Qi thought it was Gu Weijing but to his surprise, it was Si Fang bringing food.
“Thanks, Si Fang. I’ll go wash up first.” Shi Qi took the tray and placed it on the table before awkwardly leaving. The winter water was unusually cold but there was a bucket of hot water by the well, which brought warmth to Shi Qi’s heart.
Unexpectedly, when Shi Qi returned, Si Fang hadn’t left. Since this was Gu Weijing and Si Fang’s residence, Shi Qi didn’t pay much attention. He picked up the food bowl and started eating but soon realized something was off. Although Si Fang’s gaze was discreet, he knew that someone was staring at him.
Si Fang sat at a distance and seemingly lost in thought while looking outside but the sensitivity of a Martial Artist allowed Shi Qi to sense the gaze directed at him.
“Si Fang?” Shi Qi called out to the young man, who’s startled and quickly got up to leave. Shi Qi felt confused because this young man meant no harm but his behavior was peculiar.
Eating absentmindedly, Shi Qi was interrupted by the arrival of another person, Shi Er. His wounds had just healed and he had returned with Shi Yi to resume their usual antics. At the moment, their Master was out gathering herbs, so Shi Er came to check on his brother.
“Shi Er, are your wounds all healed?”
“Just minor ones. Call me Big Brother.” Despite his usual playful demeanor, Shi Er’s gaze scanned Shi Qi’s body intensely and not missing a single detail.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Shi Qi felt uneasy being scrutinized and asked cautiously. And considering that there was something inside him, he felt somewhat guilty.
Shi Er sighed deeply.
This silly kid, last night he was so loud. Does he not know about the word ‘restraint’ and now he was asking why he was being looked at. Shouldn’t he be asking why their Master and his own brother ended up together?
Even he was bewildered. “Well, one should be discreet. Although we’re all men, after all…”
“Shi Er, what do you want to say?” Feeling a bit uneasy, Shi Qi asked the question that concerned him the most, “Has Brother Qi sent any news?”
Shi Er’s smile faded as he shook his head. “Not yet, but what’s certain is that he’s no longer in Guiping. He must have been moved to a place with greater power because we’ve already cleared out the Guiping branch. I even asked a few people but they all refused to talk, truly loyal!”
Shi Qi’s eyes were filled with worry. Shi Er patted his hand to comfort him, “They’ve gone to such lengths to hide Qi’s whereabouts, then they must have ulterior motives. They won’t lay a hand on him for now. So relax because you know what he cares about the most right now. If you take care of yourself and when he returns, he’ll definitely shower you with even more attention.”
Thinking of Ying Qi’s constant reminders not to do this or that, Shi Qi couldn’t help but smile.
“Master said he would spare no effort to rescue Brother Qi, and he will definitely stick to that until the end!”
Shi Er was taken aback as a hint of complexity flickering in his eyes.
Little Shi Qi…
Light footsteps could be heard outside the door. Shi Er gestured and went back to the rooftop. Si Fang walked in with a bowl of medicine. “Take your medicine.”
Shi Qi thanked him then took the hot but drinkable herbal soup and gulped it down in one go. The bitter taste spread in his mouth and Shi Qi clicked his tongue then opened his mouth to suck in some cool air to dispel the bitterness. Unexpectedly, this action turned into a gasp of cold air. The unfamiliar sensation on his abdomen made him reflexively want to slap it away, but he stopped because it was Si Fang’s hand. Shi Qi looked down at Si Fang’s hand that now rested on his abdomen, feeling puzzled.
On the rooftop, Shi Yi and Shi Er, who were observing, also froze in surprise.
Si Fang didn’t think his actions were inappropriate at all. He looked at Shi Qi with clear and innocent eyes, “Do you have a baby inside?”
