Chapter 135:

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

Under the encouragement of the Marshal, Wu Zimo's inspiration seemed to be divinely aided. However, no matter how pumped he was, today he had to be personally escorted out of the research room by Scott.

Watching the atmosphere between Wu Zimo and Scott, which resembled a couple having a spat, Master Haley couldn't help but chuckle, "Don't worry about the research, it's just a day or two; we can wait."

"Ahem, then I trouble you two masters," Wu Zimo still maintained an attitude of refusing to speak to Scott. After bidding farewell to the two masters, he turned and walked straight out.

As Wu Zimo left, Scott's expression showed no change, but if one looked closely, they could see the Marshal's silver eyes were filled with indulgence and affection for Wu Zimo.

As someone who had been through it, Master Haley could certainly sense this, and with a wry smile, he defended Wu Zimo, saying, "Wu Zimo is still a child; being a bit playful isn't a big deal."

"Master Haley, please rest assured, I understand."

Scott nodded to the two masters in farewell and then turned to catch up with the departing Wu Zimo.

Once the two had walked far away, Master Feng Yan, looking conflicted, finally voiced her doubts, "Is Marshal Alman really in a relationship with that Wu Zimo?"

There was no need to introduce who Marshal Alman was, but the strength of this young Wu Zimo had indeed amazed Master Feng Yan during their time together. Even in the talent-rich Federation  Research Institute, it was hard to find someone with Wu Zimo's exceptional gifts.

Especially after seeing the program he wrote yesterday, Master Feng Yan was almost reckless enough to pull Wu Zimo into the Federation  Research Institute herself.

Such a genius should belong to the Federation  Research Institute!

However, rationality ultimately prevailed. After spending so much time at the headquarters of Heaven Wrath Corps, if Master Feng Yan still couldn't discern the relationship between Scott and Wu Zimo, she truly didn't deserve her position.

At first, she thought it was Wu Zimo's extraordinary talent that garnered Marshal Alman’s attention, but everything she saw and heard clearly indicated that Marshal Alman and this young man Wu Zimo were in a romantic relationship!

Indeed, it was clear to Master Feng Yan that there was an ambiguous atmosphere between the two that outsiders could not intrude upon.

Even though Wu Zimo often acted evasively, who hasn't been young and infatuated? It was obvious what was on Wu Zimo's mind.

If at first Master Feng Yan had confidence in bringing Wu Zimo into the Federation  Research Institute, now she could only abandon that thought.

Scott Alman was different from Rocard Maca. Not to mention that Sima Hua was originally a member of the Federation  Research Institute before marrying into the Maca family, but Wu Zimo had already been marked by the Alman family from the start, making it impossible for him to join the Federation  Research Institute.

"Didn't you notice it too?" It was rare for Master Haley to speak to Master Feng Yan in such a normal tone.

Whether it was because of Wu Zimo acting as a buffer between them or because they finally shared a common experience—both being astonished by Wu Zimo's abilities—the atmosphere between the two masters had warmed considerably. Although high-level 'arguments' still occurred, they were now more inclined towards academic exchanges.

Hearing Master Haley say this, Master Feng Yan finally showed a dejected expression. This genius boy Wu Zimo was indeed not someone she could aspire to.

Seeing the forlorn look on Master Feng Yan's face, Master Haley's lips moved, and he finally spoke, "Master Feng Yan, you've done enough for the Federation  Research Institute."

After saying this, without waiting for Master Feng Yan to respond, he turned and returned to the research room. Although he had looked at Wu Zimo's program from yesterday, there were still many aspects he hadn't fully understood.

The research room they were in was not the private one used by Wu Zimo. Due to the importance of the new energy shield, Scott had specially prepared a larger, more equipped research room for the three of them. Of course, it was only for the use of Wu Zimo and the two masters.

Master Feng Yan was indeed taken aback that Master Haley would comfort her. Watching Master Haley's retreating figure, she couldn't help but reveal a sincere, gentle smile.

Although the two masters had not completely reconciled, at least they no longer had to face each other with hostility whenever they met.

Now aboard the Marshal's exclusive battleship, Wu Zimo was unaware of how impressive he was, allowing the two masters to coexist peacefully.

Sitting on the battleship, Wu Zimo glanced at the calm-faced Marshal sitting opposite him and couldn't help but ask, "Scott, is it really okay for you to suddenly appear at the Federation Military Academy?"

Wu Zimo hadn't forgotten the first time he met Scott, when many of the Marshal's admirers had come to watch.

Scott lifted his gaze from the light brain screen, and when he looked at Wu Zimo, his eyes softened as he explained, "It wasn't sudden."

"Uh-huh?"

"The principal invited me to be a guest speaker at the opening ceremony."

Upon hearing this answer, Wu Zimo squinted his eyes and stared intently at Scott.

There was no way Wu Zimo could believe that such a busy person like Scott would take the time to attend the opening ceremony of the Federation  Military Academy out of goodwill!

Noticing the skepticism in Wu Zimo's eyes, Scott put away the holographic screen and, before Wu Zimo could react, reached out and pulled him into his embrace.

Wu Zimo, who was not a match for the Marshal, had no time to react; he was immediately enveloped in Scott's masculine scent.

Fortunately, Scott was quick, preventing Wu Zimo from colliding with his nose; otherwise, Wu Zimo would have been left holding his nose, tears in his eyes.

Although he didn't hit his nose, the Marshal's chest was indeed quite solid. Don't ask Wu Zimo how he knew; after so many times of crashing into it, it was clear he had some nerve endings that were a bit off.

"Scott!" Wu Zimo was furious that Scott had pulled him without warning.

However, the Marshal, who was the target of Wu Zimo's indignation, paid no mind to the boy's shouts. He placed his hands on Wu Zimo's waist, giving it a gentle squeeze before saying, "You've lost weight."

"……" I mean, Marshal, isn't that a bit off-topic? I'm still in the middle of yelling!

Noticing Wu Zimo's eye roll, Scott's lips curled up slightly. His right hand, which was still on Wu Zimo's waist, slid along his spine to the small of his back, gently stroking it as if soothing a cat that was all riled up.

"Have you not been eating well lately?"

"……" Although Wu Zimo's waist was not particularly thin, it didn't mean his neck could hold up as well. Not to mention that the originally innocent Wu Zimo had already learned that the guide's glands were located at the back of the neck.

The complete bond of a guide and a sentinel required not only a spiritual connection but also a physical one.

The sentinel's teeth would pierce the guide's glands located at the back of the neck, merging saliva with the pheromones from the glands, which would arouse passion in both parties. The subsequent events would naturally lead to the need for privacy.

When Wu Zimo first read this description, he was quite taken aback; it turned out the glands at the guide's neck also had aphrodisiac effects...

So when Scott's fingertip brushed against that area, Wu Zimo truly felt like he was about to explode.

"Don't..."

"Uh-huh?"

But now, with his entire body pressed against Scott's chest, Wu Zimo found it hard to articulate a single word, feeling completely weak.

Perhaps it was because he knew that Scott was a 100% compatible sentinel, Wu Zimo was even more sensitive to Scott's scent and touch. Therefore, this kind of invitation-like behavior left Wu Zimo utterly defenseless.

"Wu Zimo?"

Noticing Wu Zimo's breath suddenly quickened, Scott wondered if it was due to his actions. He thought something might have happened to Wu Zimo and wanted to pull him out from his embrace to take a closer look.

However, this time Wu Zimo would not comply with Scott's wishes. If he were pulled out and Scott saw him in such a state, it would be blatantly asking for something!

Don't be surprised that Wu Zimo thought this way about himself; it was because a certain part of him had started to react.

He truly couldn't flirt; once he did, it was all too easy to set off a chain reaction!

Wu Zimo shifted slightly in Scott's embrace, moving a certain part away from Scott's thigh. Once he confirmed he was temporarily safe, he reached up to pat his own face.

"I'm fine; I've been eating on time. I haven't lost weight; I've just gotten stronger."

Recently, Wu Zimo had kept up with his physical training, and he felt like his physique was no longer as weak as it used to be.

To divert Scott's attention, Wu Zimo continued the conversation, "Regarding the new energy shield system, our research has entered the final stages."

Mentioning this, Wu Zimo couldn't help but show a proud expression!

Previously, their research had been stuck at a bottleneck. If it weren't for Scott's encouragement, he wouldn't have suddenly found the motivation to solve the problem that had been holding them back.

Seeing the pride in Wu Zimo's eyes, Scott's gaze softened with affection as he gently said, "I've always had faith in you."

As long as he looked into those vibrant black eyes, Scott felt that nothing in the world could stump this confident young man.

"Ahem." Under Scott's trusting gaze, Wu Zimo felt a bit shy, his eyes drifting down before he spoke, "There's just a little bit left to wrap up; the new energy shield will soon be ready for practical testing."

"Are you going to participate in this practical test?"

Last time, when they were testing the new battleship control program, Wu Zimo wanted to go, and Scott thought he wanted to join in again this time. Scott didn't mind at all.

However, Wu Zimo shook his head, "No." After one experience, he truly couldn't muster any interest this time.

"I see." Hearing that Wu Zimo didn't want to go, Scott felt a bit displeased. However, since Wu Zimo wasn't interested, he couldn't force him to participate.

Scott's exclusive battleship was incredibly fast, and during their conversation, the capital of the Federation had already come into view.
