Chapter 167: A’ Mo: Well, I guess it runs in the family

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

Early the next morning, Wu Zimo was shaken awake by Scott, who told him that his father had returned home. Upon hearing that the head of the family was back, Wu Zimo certainly wouldn’t lie in bed any longer.

Today was the first time he would meet the former Commander of Heaven Wrath Corps, whom he had heard so much about.

However, Wu Zimo found it hard to describe his first impression of Philos Alman, the former Commander of Heaven Wrath Corps.

In the end, he could only suppress the twitching muscles of his face, raise his head at a forty-five-degree angle with a bright yet sorrowful expression, and mutter, “The rumors from the outside world are indeed all lies…”

But that was for later.

………

Wu Zimo and Scott hurried to the main castle gate, where they saw a robust middle-aged man standing next to Madam Alman.

Just by looking at his physique, Wu Zimo couldn’t help but be astonished. How could men in the interstellar era be so strong and tall!

However, compared to the middle-aged man’s build, Wu Zimo felt a stronger impulse to cover his face and turn away from the lovey-dovey atmosphere between the middle-aged man and Madam Alman.

The middle-aged man, who was smiling like a blooming chrysanthemum, was definitely not the calm, cautious, imposing, and domineering Philos Alman described in the rumors!

But Wu Zimo knew that only her husband could stand beside Madam Alman and make her, a dignified lady, show such girlish shyness.

Watching the couple completely ignore the two of them, Wu Zimo suddenly had an epiphany and looked at Scott beside him, who, despite being ignored by his parents, showed no unusual expression.

“What’s wrong?” Noticing the boy’s gaze, Scott looked down. As for the nauseating scene in front of them, he had seen it since childhood and didn’t think much of it.

“Scott, I’m only now realizing how powerful you, a little fairy, I’ve inherited is!”

The old Marshal’s appearance was just a replica of Scott! No, wait, it should be said that Scott was a replica of the old Marshal.

Moreover, Scott was even more reserved and shameless than the old Marshal.

“Haha, Coriel, this must be Wu Zimo, right? Not bad. He was a good one.”

Although Philos was affectionate with his wife, as a sentinel with strong senses, he couldn’t possibly miss the appearance of Scott and Wu Zimo, especially when he saw his iceberg-faced son so carefully protecting the boy in his arms.

The old Marshal was very satisfied. Because the men of the Alman family should treat their wives like this!

Unlike Wu Zimo’s speechless first impression of Philos, Philos was very pleased with Wu Zimo.

Experience is indeed the best teacher, this saying was not wrong.

As the former Commander of Heaven Wrath Corps, Philos had seen more people than Scott, and he could tell at first glance that Wu Zimo was extraordinary.

Seemingly obedient, but actually quite clever with bright and spirited eyes. He was a person with a firm will and moral principles.

Philos didn’t mind if the kids had their own little thoughts but their character had to be good, upright, and they couldn’t betray the Federation or humanity.

“Hello, old Marshal.”

Seeing that the lovey-dovey couple finally noticed them, Wu Zimo immediately put on a smile and greeted Philos.

He had met his mother-in-law, and now he was meeting his father-in-law.

However, Wu Zimo’s address immediately made the previously laughing Philos frown, but not at Wu Zimo. Instead, he looked at Scott with a disdainful expression.

‘Didn’t they say they were already registered? Why was this kid still calling him old Marshal? Son, you really need to step up. You should learn from me because back in the day, I was so quick to win over your mother.’

Scott, who was facing this show-off father in front of his own son, didn’t even give him a glance as he was just currently looking down quietly at Wu Zimo.

His silver eyes began to deepen again, and although his tone seemed unchanged, the perceptive Wu Zimo felt a chill run down his spine.

“Old marshal?”

“No, no, no, dear, you heard wrong. I said father!”

‘Damn! We’re in front of our elders, can’t you be a little more reserved, dear? What are you trying to do with that hand behind me? If you keep messing around, I’m going to shout harassment!’

“Hahaha, that’s right, you should call him father. You two are already registered, so there’s no need to mention all that nonsense.”

With her husband finally back, Madam Alman must be very happy. As for being affectionate in front of the kids, although she was an elder, after so many years in the Alman family, she had long since gotten used to it.

The Alman family was indeed, as the old Marshal said, a bunch of wife-pampering maniacs. Before finding their loved ones, they could still act normally but once they found them, their demeanor changed completely.

At first, Madam Alman wasn’t used to it but after so many years, she had gotten accustomed to it.

Hearing Wu Zimo still calling Philos “old Marshal” so distantly, she, like her husband, looked at her son with a mix of disappointment and frustration.

When Wu Zimo quickly corrected himself, Madam Alman nodded in satisfaction and interjected, “Alright, you just got back and must be tired and the kids haven’t had breakfast yet, so let’s go inside and talk while eating.”

Everyone present agreed with Madam Alman’s suggestion, especially Wu Zimo. As they turned to walk towards the main castle, he noticed that the two parents in front hadn’t paid attention to them, so he forcefully pulled away the mischievous hand behind him.

Irritated, he said to Scott, “Dear, are you really not possessed by some strange thing?”

Even with the old Marshal’s example shocking him, Scott’s reactions sometimes we're just too much!

‘My dear Marshal, do you realize your character is about to break?’

Scott held Wu Zimo’s hand from behind before squeezing it, and even if Wu Zimo wasn’t sensitive to sounds, he felt like his ears were about to get pregnant.

“No.” The same answer again but just as Wu Zimo was about to roll his eyes, he heard Scott add, “You need to get used to it.”

“…”

Going from a reserved type to a flirtatious type in a second is something no normal person can get used to, okay?

Noticing the boy grinding his teeth, Scott chuckled softly but didn’t say anything more because he knew that the boy beside him would eventually get used to it. The same his mother had been the same, way back then.

After a breakfast that satisfied all four of them, especially Wu Zimo, as long as Scott didn’t act up, he actually enjoyed the relaxed and easy-going feeling of being in sync with Scott.

After breakfast, it was time to discuss serious matters.

Wu Zimo and Scott had registered at the Civil Affairs Bureau but Scott was not an ordinary person, so just registering wasn’t enough.

As the heir of the Alman family and the current Commander of Heaven Wrath Corps and also a Marshal, his marriage would definitely attract a lot of attention.

So while registration could be casual, the wedding had to be grand to showcase the power and prestige of the Alman family.

During the discussion, Wu Zimo remained silent as a chicken as he felt overwhelmed by the imposing presence of the three main members of the Alman family beside him.

If given a choice, Wu Zimo would prefer to have a quiet candlelight dinner with someone he liked, and then… cough, cough, everyone understands.

However, Wu Zimo also knew that with Scott’s status, his wedding couldn’t be casual. Moreover, with his recent fame in the Federation, not to mention his sudden transformation from an ordinary person to a guide, and the fact that he was a perfect match with Scott, many people would want to investigate.

So when Wu Zimo saw even the usually calm Madam Alman looking like a battlefield was ablaze, he had no choice but to remain quiet.

He silently mourned for those who dared to plot against the Alman family.

After some discussion, the head of the family finally made a decision, “Your wedding will be arranged for a week later. Is that alright?”

Hearing that a decision had finally been made, Wu Zimo, who had been lost in thought, immediately nodded, indicating that he had no issues, and as for Scott, he had even fewer problems.

“Don’t worry, Mom will make sure your wedding is absolutely grand, so that everyone knows that Xiao Mo is an important member of our Alman family.” Madam Alman said with a smile but her tone was very commanding.

“By the way, before the wedding, I will hold a family gathering to let the family members get to know Xiao Mo.”

Such gatherings were quite normal as it was just a means to inform the family members that a new member had joined. The higher the status of the gathering, the higher the status of the new member in the family.

Madam Alman was doing this for Wu Zimo’s sake. Although Wu Zimo didn’t understand the intricacies of noble families, he knew that Madam Alman truly cared for him.

Nodding, he replied, “I don’t understand any of this, so please arrange it, Mother.” After yesterday’s lesson of blood and tears, Wu Zimo would definitely not misaddress Madam Alman again!

“Then I’ll take care of it.” Seeing the obedient Wu Zimo, Madam Alman was even more pleased.

As for the family gathering, Madam Alman would arrange it well, and Scott wouldn’t interfere much. Remembering the disgusting Feng family, he spoke to Madam Alman, who was planning the gathering time.

“Mother, regarding Zimo’s identity, the Feng family has contacted Chengtian and wants to meet.”

Upon hearing the Feng family, not only did Madam Alman furrow her brows, but the old Marshal, who was holding her, did the same.

Wu Zimo’s quantum beast was too distinctive, so once it appeared, everyone knew he should be related to the Feng family. However, just as Wu Zimo didn’t care, Scott and the others weren’t very concerned about the Feng family either.

So what if their lineage was ancient? The Alman family’s lineage was not inferior to the Feng family’s, and besides, the Feng family had been declining, generation after generation.

The fact that they had made it this far was not only due to the strength of the Feng family’s bloodline but also because other family forces didn’t want to deal with the Feng family, even though their pervert clan rules that prioritized awakened ones were simply too disgusting.

“Let them come if they want, it’s just the Feng family. If they really dare to come and be disgusting, we’ll just push them down.”

This domineering statement didn’t come from the old Marshal Philos but from Madam Alman.

After Madam Alman finished speaking, her expression softened again, and when she looked at Wu Zimo, she became warm and friendly once more, “Xiao Mo, don’t be afraid of the Feng family. If they dare to come and be disgusting to you, just fight back. If anything happens, Scott will help you bear it.”
