Chapter 177: A’ Mo: Oh man, this is a mess

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

If Feng Yan'er's insults created a tense atmosphere, the sudden male voice directly ignited the Marshal's powder keg.

The intimate nickname and the affectionate tone, every detail was grating on Scott's nerves.

Scott abandoned the pale-faced Feng Yan'er, narrowed his eyes, and his silver pupils, like sharp blades, pierced directly towards the source of the voice.

However, the man who had spoken was completely unfazed by Scott's icy gaze. Instead, he calmly walked out while ignoring everyone else.

"Borg Fes?!" Lyle exclaimed in a low voice.

Yes, only Borg Fes, who had come with a grudge, would dare to be so ambiguous towards Wu Zimo, who was already taken.

Wu Zimo saw the vaguely familiar stranger walking out.

If Lyle hadn't exclaimed, he would have almost forgotten about this cannon fodder.

"How did you get here?!" Before Scott could speak, Lyle stood in front of Wu Zimo to face Borg, who was sporting a sickening smile and gazing at Wu Zimo with a look of longing.

Seeing Lyle acting like a protective mother hen, Wu Zimo couldn't help but chuckle, but he was mostly relieved.

"Heh, how could I miss Little Mo's wedding?" Seeing Lyle, a mere ordinary person, dare to speak to him so disrespectfully, a flicker of killing intent flashed in Borg's eyes.

Sensing Borg's murderous intent, Salah stepped forward to shield Lyle with his gaze cold as he stared at Borg.

Borg, of course, recognized Salah, the Young Master of the Mahos family.

Seeing his actions, he felt even more contempt.

A Young Master of the Mahos family actually fell for such a good-for-nothing.

No wonder Cui Yi didn't think much of the Mahos family. The Mahos family had truly fallen.

Borg, with his status, wouldn't be able to enter this planet.

Even the Fes family wasn't qualified to receive an invitation from the Alman family. The reason he was here was because Cui Yi had brought him.

The Cui family, in the capital star, was among the top of the second-rate forces.

It wasn't strange for them to receive an invitation.

Originally, the family head, Cui Yi's father, was supposed to attend, but for some reason, Cui Yi ended up representing the family.

However, with this current development, if his father knew that his son had taken a spot to bring such a loser to the Alman Young Master's wedding, would he feel the same regret as the previous family head who wished he could rip his guts out?

Did this fool Cui Yi really think the Alman family was incompetent enough to not investigate who brought Borg Fes here?

As the atmosphere grew increasingly tense, Wu Zimo, the main character, finally spoke.

"Uh, who are you?" Wu Zimo's words were directed at Borg, who seemed to be looking at him with deep affection. So, Wu Zimo's confused expression was truly hilarious.

But it made some of the guests with ulterior motives who were hoping for a good show slightly change their expressions.

At the same time, Wu Zimo's reaction caused everyone else present to stiffen, especially the Marshal, whose arm was still around Wu Zimo's waist. The cold aura around him dissipated slightly.

Stunned by Wu Zimo's blunt response, a flash of anger and a hint of killing intent quickly crossed Borg's eyes. These emotions disappeared quickly, but Scott, being who he was, couldn't possibly miss them.

Therefore, his gaze towards Borg became even colder.

"Little Mo, how can you say that? Have you forgotten about... those days?" Borg continued to act affectionately, and the resentment in his tone made those who didn't know the truth suspect that Wu Zimo really had something going on with this young man.

Seeing the change in some of the guests' expressions, Borg suppressed the mockery in his eyes and continued to say sorrowfully to Wu Zimo, "I know my status is not as good as Marshal Alman's, but I... ah, Little Mo, I'll bless you."

With an appearance of being abandoned by Wu Zimo for vanity but still remaining deeply in love, Borg's acting skills could have taken him to the entertainment industry.

However, Lyle and the others, who knew Borg's character well, became even angrier at his act. Before Lyle could scold him, Wu Zimo spoke again. His attitude made the previously angry crowd unable to hold back their laughter.

Wu Zimo rubbed his arm frankly while looking like he was disgusted by something, and then said helplessly to Borg, who was talking to himself, "Sir, can you speak human? I really don't know you. You're talking to yourself in front of me, and I'm innocent!"

"Lyle, you just called this gentleman by name, right? Do you know him?"

Lyle didn't know why Wu Zimo suddenly turned to him, but he could only nod. "His name is Borg Fes."

"Borg Fes? Oh, now that you mention it, I have a vague impression. Isn't he the student who attacked me with his quantum beast at the academy and got expelled?"

Wu Zimo put on a look of realization as his expression towards Borg was somewhat inexplicable. "Sir, I don't know where I offended you, but you attacked me with your quantum beast at the time. Thankfully, Scott was there, otherwise..."

‘Who doesn't know how to leave a sentence unfinished? Heh.’

Wu Zimo's words made the uninformed guests present also look at each other with realization with their expressions towards Borg turning sour.

Especially the guides among the guests. They could tell that Borg was a Sentinel, and Wu Zimo was a Guide.

A Sentinel actually attacked a Guide at the academy.

Moreover, judging from Wu Zimo's appearance, the attack at that time was so fierce that it even required Marshal Alman to rescue him. Their eyes towards Borg became even worse.

"Heh, so it was Scott, the hero, who saved the beauty." Rocard, not afraid of making a scene, teased the two of them.

Rocard's words made the guests smile knowingly.

The hero saving the beauty trope might be old, but it was reasonable.

In fact, when the Federation citizens received news of the Marshal's marriage, they were curious about how Marshal Alman and the young man named Wu Zimo met. Not to mention that Wu Zimo was an orphan, which made the citizens even more puzzled.

How did a Marshal and an orphan end up together?

Now that the hero saving the beauty topic was brought up, everyone understood. And then, add in the fact that "the one who is closest to the water gets the moon first [1]," and it was quite romantic.

[1] Is a Chinese idiom. It's a metaphorical expression that means someone who is in a better position or has more opportunities is more likely to achieve their goals.

"Little Mo, it's not like that, I..."

"Come on, Borg, I know you wanted to kill me because you were expelled from the First Military Academy for attacking me. But even if you want to get revenge on me, you shouldn't choose this time, right?"

Causing trouble at someone's wedding was truly contemptible. Hearing Wu Zimo's words, the guests looked at Borg even more unfavorably.

At this time, Scott, who had been silent, finally spoke. And he delivered the final blow. "He's not qualified."

Wu Zimo understood what Scott meant by "not qualified."

Revenge?

What right did Borg Fes have to talk about revenge with him? He should be grateful that he hadn't sought revenge.

Wu Zimo gave Scott a toothy grin, then stood on tiptoe and pecked Scott's lips. "That's right."

The plan to slander Wu Zimo was shattered by Wu Zimo's words. And Scott Alman, this man, actually dared to say he wasn't qualified!

Borg, who wasn't known for his good temper, no longer maintained his ridiculous fake facade. His face immediately darkened.

His quantum beast, Vulture, suddenly appeared above his head with its cold eyes, tinged with a red glow while fixed on Wu Zimo and Scott.

Seeing Borg suddenly summon his quantum beast, the guests in the room were slightly flustered, but they quickly calmed down.

They weren't ordinary people. Even if they panicked, it was only for a moment.

However, Borg's action was clearly a provocation against the Alman family. Before the old Marshal and Mrs. Alman could speak, Butler Finn directly waved his hand to order the manor guards to surround Borg Fes, a dangerous individual with aggressive intent.

But at this time, a continuous series of explosions came from afar.

"Ah!"

This explosion was not as harmless as Borg's. Especially in the garden, they could clearly see the billowing smoke in the distance.

"Please don't panic!" The old Marshal's eyes narrowed sharply.

He met Scott's gaze for a moment before quickly looking away and loudly reassured the guests in the garden.

The old Marshal's voice calmed the panicked guests slightly. The men took care of the ladies beside them, Sentinels protected their Guides, and under the guidance of the guards, they evacuated to a safe place.

Just then, a scream, even louder than the distant explosions, reached the ears of the guests who were preparing to evacuate.

"Watch out!" Caroline exclaimed to warn them.

When the explosions suddenly sounded, Scott, Rocard, and the other Sentinels instinctively protected the Guides beside them. Lyle was even held tightly in Salah's arms. After exchanging glances with his father, Scott prepared to leave with Wu Zimo.

However, at that moment, the Vulture, which had been staring at Scott and Wu Zimo, ignored the explosions in the distance and directly spread its wings with its sharp beak aiming at Wu Zimo.

Caroline had been paying attention to Wu Zimo's situation, so she was able to warn them in time when Borg suddenly attacked.

Actually, even if Caroline hadn't warned them, Scott wouldn't have let Borg's Vulture attack the young man in his arms.

The Vulture hadn't even gotten close when it suddenly let out a sharp shriek and then dissipated into thin air.

This rapid change caught everyone off guard, not only the nervous Caroline but also Borg, who was attacking Wu Zimo.

Borg knew that he wasn't the only one who was causing trouble for Wu Zimo today. It wasn't just the Feng family father and daughter, but another group of mysterious people. That's why he hadn't come forward when Feng Yan'er started insulting Wu Zimo. He only came out when he saw that the woman was useless and was suppressed by Scott.

He also knew that even though he was causing trouble so blatantly, he was just a decoy to attract the attention of the Alman Manor guards so that the other group could act.

Borg didn't know who those people were, and he didn't need to know. He only needed to know that they were going to deal with Wu Zimo and Scott Alman.
