Chapter 65: Qi Yang: The final ending I give you

The End Of The World (WORLD)

The moonlight was cold and clear, shining down without a hint of warmth. The room was silent, as if time had frozen and space had come to a standstill, with nothing moving except for the two large white objects in the center.

“Hmm…”

A low, muffled groan suddenly broke the silence.

The sharp blade halted just half a centimeter away!

The man lying on the bed slightly furrowed his brow and a look of struggle appeared on his handsome face, as if he were dreaming of something troubling. His gaunt cheeks were slightly sunken, and with each shallow breath, his chest rose and fell slowly.

The mutated beast's claw remained suspended in mid-air but its round beastly eyes devoid of the earlier terrifying ferocity and bloodlust, appearing as clear and innocent as a child's. It looked curiously at the man lying so close to it, and with just a slight deepening of his breath, its five claws could pierce through the man's high-bridged nose and stab down!

Time passed slowly with no one moving or speaking.

The mutated beast blinked while staring blankly at the man's sleeping face and showing no reaction at all.

“Zizi… Yang? Zizi…”

A faint, crisp sound, almost like a low chant, suddenly rang out but it was strangely mixed with a hint of surprise, as if it did not understand the current situation. After this sound, a brighter white light suddenly flashed, dazzling and brilliant, as if daylight had abruptly risen and outshined the moon's silver glow.

After a few seconds, the light gradually dimmed, and at the same time—

A pale, emaciated man suddenly appeared at the edge of the large bed!

His body was covered in horrific, gruesome wounds that all were cruelly exposed due to his nakedness.

From three long wounds about three centimeters long on his Achilles tendon to the densely packed scars on his calves. Some were burns, some were corroded by acidic substances, and many were inflicted by an extremely sharp scalpel, covering his entire emaciated back!

His body was incredibly soft, or rather, it seemed to be limp as if it had no bones, as it was slumped at the edge of the bed.

His lower body was too weak to support him, while his upper body barely clung to the white bedspread to stabilize himself. His long black hair fell past his ears and almost reached his shoulders, and the area covered by his hair was illuminated by the moonlight, revealing a wound that crossed his entire head.

Though it had scabbed over, one could still distinctly feel the excruciating pain from the cut.

His jawline was sharp and smooth with his lips thin, his nose straight, and his eyes were long and deeply set, carrying a peculiar alien quality. His eyes were a beautiful translucent white, like the finest cat's eye stone, hazy and ethereal, yet with a thin silver line running through the center, hinting at a beastly nature unlike that of humans

On what should have been a handsome face, there were countless tiny wounds that were chaotically scattered, making it look quite ugly and hard to bear. The most severe one even slashed deeply from the left cheek to the right, splitting the nose in half and exposing the white bone beneath, a horrifying sight.

“Yang… Yang?”

Those transparent eyes were clear and clean, untouched by the world's chaos, and reflecting his handsome face that was quietly blinking. Slowly, he tilted his head to look at the person before him with confusion in his eyes.

He didn’t know how long he had been watching as the air in the deep night was slightly cool, yet he remained there, completely naked and crouched at the edge of the bed. He began to exert himself to stand up, but each time he only slipped and fell back to the ground as his bones were too soft to support him.

He tried to speak like a child and tried to stand like a child.

Repeated failures, repeated efforts.

His pure, transparent eyes gradually darkened with each failure.

The color deepened until they became as black as obsidian and coldly radiating a ruthless killing intent.

He suddenly stopped trying to stand and raised his head sharply to look at the man lying peacefully.

He saw Qi Yang still frowning in his sleep, seemingly uncomfortable but his eyes remained tightly shut.

“Zizi… Zizi kill… kill Yang… Zizi kill you…!”

The voice suddenly rose sharply at the end, echoing and reverberating in the room and accompanied by five sharp cold lights flashing past that were directly aimed at Qi Yang's pale face. The movement is extremely swift and the tips of the blades glinting coldly!

“Swish—”

Qi Yang's tightly closed eyes suddenly snapped open!

Fine beads of sweat broke out on his forehead, and he stared ahead in shock and horror, looking at—

That expanse of silent darkness!

The room was eerily quiet; although the moonlight streamed in through the window illuminating the interior, Qi Yang still frowned for a while before adjusting to the darkness.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, only to realize that his clothes had somehow become soaked with sweat and clinging tightly to his body.

Qi Yang cautiously propped himself up and scanned the surroundings before confirming that there was nothing unusual before slowly letting out a sigh of relief.

He had just… had a nightmare.

He dreamed that the ugly, disgusting mutated beast S1 actually used a high-powered electromagnetic cannon to attack him.

In the dream, it possessed a high level of intelligence and quickly manipulating the gun with its foolish beastly claws, and then there was a cold gunshot—

That blew him to smithereens!

Covering his forehead with his left hand, Qi Yang half-sat on the bed while panting heavily.

His cheeks were slightly flushed but his complexion was extremely pale.

After resting for a while, he finally regained his composure and walked to the northeast corner of the room then squatted down to look at the quiet black box.

His cold, suspicious gaze lingered on the tightly closed door of the box for a long time, and suddenly, Qi Yang reached out to press the code and opened the box door.

As he lowered his head, his gaze met a pair of trembling, terrified beastly eyes.

Those eyes

In the darkness were extremely beautiful and transparent, but now trembling as they looked at Qi Yang. Their pupils are moist, seemingly filled with fear.

The entire body of the beast pressed tightly against the box wall, keeping as much distance from Qi Yang as possible, yet it still trembled uncontrollably.

It was afraid.

Qi Yang narrowed his eyes as he came to this conclusion.

His gaze grew colder and in this darkness, he could only see the mutated beast's flickering, translucent eyes. Its body blended into the darkness, making it hard to see. But even without looking, Qi Yang clearly remembered every wound on its body.

From the 35 wounds on its face to the 17 on its hind claws, each one inflicted by his own hand. Driven by a rigorous and serious attitude towards the experiment, as well as… an undeniable desire for revenge.

This mutated beast had killed three of his assistants right in front of him. Each attack was so precise that it left him no room to react and forced him to watch the blood mist spread and spray before his eyes, until finally… it nearly severed his right hand!

That was the first time Qi Yang felt fear.

Even now, no matter how tame and timid it seemed, the cruel and cold-blooded beast with its flickering black eyes had never left Qi Yang's mind.

It was ultimately a wild beast.

One that would never be tamed by humans.

Slowly raising his hand, Qi Yang looked at his right wrist.

The scar that once existed there had completely vanished.

Just a week ago, when he had fainted and Qin Chu used his abilities to heal him, the complete transformation of his body's cells had caused that gruesome scar to disappear entirely.

Without that reminder, even Qi Yang felt that he…

Seems to have softened a lot.

In the darkness, the mutated beast curled up and was not daring to move.

It fearfully gazed at the silent expression of the human then watched as the long, thin hand of the human reached into the box.

It was the same hand that it had once bitten but now it was clean and smooth without a single scar, slowly reaching in, and then—

Pressing down hard on the wound on its cheek.

“Zizi… Zizi Zizi!!!”

Struggling to escape the intense pain, but bound by the box. s51 looked at the cold and ruthless human with pleading eyes. Its moist beastly pupils overflowed with tears, which finally streamed down its cheeks before dripping onto Qi Yang's cold hand.

Suddenly jolted, Qi Yang slowly withdrew his hand as he looked complexly at the hot tear on the back of his hand.

That drop of tear, illuminated by the moonlight, reflected a dazzling brilliance but it was much hotter than human tears and burned Qi Yang's hand to the point of discomfort.

“You're crying…” Qi Yang murmured.

He stared at that tear for a long time then suddenly wiped it away before lowering his gaze coldly at the trembling mutated beast and saying, “Do you know… you killed Chen Yun, Fang Chenglong, and Bai Xiaojun? Chen Yun's girlfriend nearly committed suicide out of grief, Fang Chenglong's son became an orphan, and Bai Xiaojun's parents were heartbroken.”

His cold, indifferent gaze lingered on the mutated beast's bony body.

“Humans and mutated beasts are fundamentally different. Different races are destined to strive for different interests; there is no eternal peace, nor is there eternal enmity. Unless one side oppresses the other with overwhelming advantage, can they achieve a superficial harmony. And I am human. You are a mutated beast.”

Qi Yang's voice was distant, as if echoing from the horizon.

“S1, in these 17 days, you were stabbed 8 times by those three people, and I personally inflicted 618 wounds on you.”

That voice was like sharp knives that silently scrape through the air.

“Tomorrow will be the 18th day. On that day, I will divide you into 108 pieces and slowly study you in formalin solution.”

“I will give you one last moment of pain, as well as a final tribute to those three.”

Qi Yang's expression was very calm. His handsome face serene as if facing a stranger and quiet as if saying a final goodbye.

“Tomorrow, you won’t feel too much pain. You have already paid enough price in these past 17 days. From now on, I will no longer hate you, nor will I torment you again. What you owe has been completely repaid; tomorrow will be an ending.”

He spoke the words of forgiveness with ease.

“What you gave to Chen Yun, Fang Chenglong, and Bai Xiaojun, is what you gave to me.”

“And it is… my final conclusion for you.”
