The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)
The originally month-long trial was temporarily halted due to the conflict between the two princes.
Fortunately, Yue Chu's intervention on the first day intimidated the human race, and the cautious Hunter Alliance withdrew their cleanup teams to avoid greater casualties, achieving a brief peace for the time being.
Just as Yue Chu was looking for an opportunity to meet Anna, he received a summons from His Majesty and informed him that Anse, the Lord of the Northern Territory, had arrived in the royal city today and wished to see him.
Anse was Yue Chu's Transformer, and in terms of their relationship, he could be considered even closer than Lafa. Even Lafa couldn't find a reason to stop him.
Anse?
Yue Chu frowned.
He didn't have the memories of his original body and only knew about Anse from Little Bear's character settings.
Originally, Anse, like Lafa, had been lying dormant from the beginning to the end, not waking up even during the final three-race war that led to the world's destruction.
So why had he suddenly awakened and traveled thousands of miles to the royal city to see him?
Yue Chu asked Little Bear, "Was there any entanglement between this Anse and the original host?"
Uh... Little Bear instantly froze.
It had gone through the world's background several times, but aside from knowing that Anse was Yue Chu's Transformer, everything else was blank. It really couldn't say whether there was any relationship or not.
After all, the records they had access to were all from the protagonist's perspective.
Someone like Anse, who wasn't even a minor character, couldn't possibly have left any significant traces.
Forget it, Yue Chu didn't bother asking Little Bear anymore.
This guy was incredibly clueless and probably knew even less than he did.
He decided to face whatever came his way and see what this so-called Anse's intentions were.
However, the confident Yue Chu was stunned the moment he saw Anse.
He stopped in disbelief as his crimson Blood Eyes fixed on Anse as if his soul had been stolen.
Anse also had black hair and Blood Eyes, with a face as beautiful as a rose. Yet, the cold arrogance in his demeanor kept people at a distance and did not dare to approach or defile him.
But that wasn't the main point. The main point was that, aside from the color of his eyes, Anse looked exactly like Wei Xieyang.
With the shift in time and space, Yue Chu faced this familiar face once again, and the shock in his heart was unimaginable.
When Anse saw him, the coldness in his eyes slightly dissipated. Although he didn't smile, the tenderness of melting spring snow seemed to overflow.
Anse: "Aren't you happy to see me?"
Even his voice was exactly the same...
Yue Chu lost the ability to speak and was only able to watch as Anse walked up to him and clung to him like a large, sticky ball.
When they were close, he could even smell the faint scent of roses on him.
How... is this possible?
The overwhelming scene left Yue Chu somewhat disoriented as he struggled to process the situation.
However, a loud bang brought Yue Chu back to his senses.
He saw that Lafa had actually crushed the armrest of the throne as his dark red eyes filled with a bloodthirsty glare as he stared at Anse with the killing intent almost palpable.
Yue Chu had no doubt that if this continued, the furious Lafa would really take action. After all, the jealousy of a thousand-year-old virgin was no small matter.
Moreover, he felt something was off...
Yue Chu pushed Anse away and stood to the side.
He subtly observed this person.
In appearance, Anse was indeed identical to his former lover, but now he lacked the charm that had once captivated Yue Chu at first sight.
Like a clone, it had only a shell but devoid of a soul.
However, Yue Chu couldn't be entirely sure.
After the initial shock, he had regained his composure.
Sometimes, he felt that his rationality was terrifying—oh, in the General's words, he was a "scoundrel." But it was the General who had abandoned him first, yet in the end, it was as if he were the victim and nearly "killing" Yue Chu.
He smiled lightly, polite and courteous, and said, "Lord Anse, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Hearing this, Anse's expression darkened and a flicker of hurt crossed his face. He pursed his crimson lips tightly while stubbornly staring at Yue Chu.
The look was all too familiar, so much so that Yue Chu couldn't help but lose focus and almost step forward to take his hand and apologize.
Unfortunately, Anse didn't get the apology he was waiting for. Because in a flash of shadow, Lafa had already inserted himself between the two and grabbed Anse by the collar and shoved him aside.
Lafa had never imagined that such a relationship existed between Anse and Yue Chu. Had he known, he would have nailed Anse's coffin shut long ago to ensure he would never wake again!
Yue Chu was his, and no one else could lay a finger on him.
What right did this scrawny, weak man have to put on airs in front of Yue Chu and pretend to seek sympathy? He didn't deserve it!
Lafa tightened his grip as his once stone-like, expressionless face now etched with deep anger.
His Blood Eyes burned with fierce flames and his jawline sharp as a blade, as if he wanted to tear the audacious fool before him to shreds.
But he knew he couldn't.
He could only suppress the surging rage and the overwhelming jealousy that threatened to drown him, keeping the two apart.
Lafa's voice was cold, like the howling wind across a desolate plain that carried a bone-chilling frost: "Anse, mind your place. Yue Chu is now my Prince, and I won't tolerate your insolence!"
Facing Lafa, Anse didn't dare to be too reckless.
The suppression ingrained in his bloodline made him bow his head in submission, though he occasionally cast longing glances at Yue Chu.
Lafa felt as if something was clogging his chest, making it ache.
That despicable, shameless look—how dare he try to seduce Yue Chu with such pretentiousness? He wished he could gouge out Anse's eyes and crush them underfoot.
Anse's expression was cold and only showed a hint of warmth when facing Yue Chu. Though he spoke words of apology, there was no sincerity in them—it was merely a formality.
Anse: "Please forgive me, Your Majesty. Yue Chu and I have lived together for a long time, and we've never been formal with each other. I'm still getting used to it."
Lafa's lips pressed into a thin line as the suppressed anger in his chest burning with blue flames and screaming to break free.
Lived together for a long time?
No formalities?
Was he flaunting his closeness with Yue Chu?
Lafa scoffed.
No one in this world was closer to Yue Chu than he was, for he was his father. Yet deep inside, a hollow sense of dissatisfaction emerged, like a gust of wind sweeping through an empty wasteland and leaving behind a desolate emptiness.
He thought of the moment when Yue Chu was transformed, with Anse biting his neck, of the long years of Yue Chu's growth that he had missed but Anse had been a part of, and of the possible conversations and intimacy they might have shared. Each of these images flashed through his mind and drove him mad with jealousy.
Lafa took Yue Chu's hand and pulled him into an embrace.
No matter what, he couldn't show any sign of weakness in front of Anse.
His gaze was deep, sharp, and cold, yet his hands gently caressed Yue Chu's hair and exuded an intimate demeanor.
Lafa: "Then you'd better get used to it, because from now on, Yue Chu will only be my Prince and will never return to the North."
Anse was taken aback and immediately showed displeasure. He was about to say something but was interrupted by Yue Chu clearing his throat.
Yue Chu leaned against Lafa with his smile clear and captivating.
His gaze swept over Anse, and he couldn't help but want to test the waters.
Yue Chu: "Your Majesty has traveled a long way to see me, and I am deeply grateful. However, hearing of your arrival after all these years of slumber has indeed surprised me."
Anse's eyes were filled with helplessness, and he sighed softly with his tone both doting and self-reproachful: "Are you still angry with me? I didn't mean to do that. It's just that when you suddenly confessed to me, I was too shocked and couldn't adapt to the change in our relationship. In a moment of confusion, I chose to escape. But now I won't run away anymore, because I also feel for you..."
Anse's eyes shimmered with a soft light, like a sky full of stars, captivating and mesmerizing.
Yue Chu's gaze flickered as his thoughts swirling, as if he had sensed something. However, this silent contemplation was quickly interrupted, as Lafa's arm around him tightened with astonishing force, as if he wanted to crush Yue Chu into his embrace.
Lafa didn't believe a word Anse said.
How could Yue Chu possibly like him, let alone confess first?
If Anse wanted to daydream, he should go back to the North and do it properly, lest his delusions go too far and he end up losing his life.
Lafa warned in a deep voice: "Anse, no matter what happened in the past, Yue Chu is mine now. He will never like you, nor will he be with you. I don't want to hear such words again. Now that you've seen him, you should return to the North and deal with the mess you left behind."
His Yue Chu was a treasure to be placed on the throne, not something for others to covet.
Anse's proud brows also showed a hint of anger.
He couldn't understand why the King kept interfering with his relationship with Yue Chu, which had nothing to do with him.
Anse: "Your Majesty, although you are Yue Chu's nominal father, the relationship between Yue Chu and me is none of your concern. Yue Chu is an adult, and he knows what he's doing."
Lafa clenched his teeth and almost hissed the words: "Of course I have the right to interfere, because he is my heir, the future King of the Blood Clan. His partner naturally needs my approval. And you, you're not worthy!"
Anse frowned.
This was too domineering.
As a father, the King's reach was too long. Yue Chu wasn't a child anymore; there was no need for parental interference.
He looked suspiciously at the King's cold and stern face while feeling that something was off.
To express his sincerity, Anse began to explain, "My feelings for Yue Chu are genuine, Your Majesty. You can rest assured in entrusting him to me. I will cherish and protect him unwavering until the moonlight fades."
Entrust him to someone else?
Lafa would never hand Yue Chu over to anyone, nor did he need others to protect him, for he would take care of everything himself.
Lafa covered Yue Chu's eyes to prevent him from continuing to look at Anse.
A surge of immense power suddenly erupted that pushed Anse out of the grand hall.
The doors slammed shut with a loud bang and left only Lafa's solemn words echoing, "Unnecessary. Get out of the royal city, the farther the better."
In the blink of an eye, Yue Chu was lifted onto the throne and met the deep, blood-red eyes of His Majesty.
The arms holding him tightened, as if afraid that letting go even slightly would mean losing him.
Lafa stared intently into his eyes as his icy tone unconsciously laced with a thick sense of jealousy, "Do you... like Anse?"
