Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)
Lately, things have indeed been quite eventful.
First, it was the Federation causing a stir, and now it's the Mola Empire's turn, though the commotion in the Mola Empire is of a negative nature.
And never underestimate the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
Upon receiving Wu Zimo's instructions, the Master Control System of the Heaven Wrath Corps instantly multiplied into thousands of entities on the Mola Empire's StarNetwork while posing as insiders and exposing the research facility on the planet Tyche.
Moreover, it was done in a gradual manner that left no room for doubt among the Mola Empire's citizens, who had initially questioned the accuracy of the information.
The resulting protests and demonstrations nearly paralyzed various government departments of the Mola Empire.
It's no wonder the citizens of the Mola Empire reacted so strongly.
Seeing the videos and research records on the StarNetwork, it's only natural to be outraged, especially when the experimental subjects captured had relatives within the empire. Seeing their loved ones' names on the records and then witnessing images of them being used as test subjects.
The overwhelming grief and anger could drive anyone to attack the Mola Empire's government departments!
Fortunately, the Master Control System did not fully expose the research facility's data and only pointed the finger at the management department of the planet Tyche.
Even if they were unaware, a charge of dereliction of duty was inevitable.
After all, those who were captured and taken to the laboratory had all gone missing on the planet Tyche.
How could the citizens not question their governance when so many people disappeared right under their noses, and all they did was label them as missing persons?
Although Wu Zimo did not implicate the royal family, there were astute individuals among the Mola Empire's citizens who suspected that the inhumane research facility had the backing of the royal family. Otherwise, how could such a facility have remained undiscovered on the planet Tyche for so long?
Of course, without evidence, even though such discussions sporadically appeared on the StarNetwork, they were quickly suppressed by the Mola Empire.
At this time, the Mola Empire's royal family was still relieved that the other party had not found evidence linking the research facility to the royal family, and unaware that this was deliberately withheld by the Master Control System, or rather, by Wu Zimo.
If he had done everything, then Rocard and the others would have been left with nothing to do.
Wu Zimo had long decided to leave the royal family's issues to Rocard and the other old foxes to haggle over, and just as he had told Scott, he had only committed a minor mischief.
Yes, a really minor mischief indeed!
Rocard and the others received the news as soon as their Master Control System took action.
Watching the sudden surge of public opinion in the Mola Empire, they were both amused and quickened their pace.
At the Presidential Palace on the Federation's capital planet, Xuanyuan Chengtian had been closely monitoring the situation in the Mola Empire.
Upon receiving the latest report from his subordinates, he was momentarily stunned and immediately sought out Rocard, "Rocard, did Wu Zimo do this?"
"Nonsense."
Rocard rolled his eyes at Xuanyuan Chengtian's incredulous expression, "That kid Wu Zimo is quite something."
Although it wasn't Wu Zimo himself who took action, the Master Control System acted according to Wu Zimo's plan, and the programs utilized by the Master Control System were also provided by Wu Zimo.
"My goodness, what is that kid's brain made of?" It wasn't that Xuanyuan Chengtian didn't believe it, but it was just too astonishing.
"You say Wu Zimo is small in stature and his head isn't big either, so how is he so sharp?"
"Haha, Xuanyuan Chengtian, would you dare ask Wu Zimo that to his face?"
"Get lost."
Xuanyuan Chengtian shot a disdainful look at Rocard, who was teasing him.
Although he wasn't close to Wu Zimo, he had a good eye for people.
Despite Wu Zimo's seemingly obedient and innocent appearance, who knew how cunning he really was inside?
That little guy was definitely petty and held grudges, just like Scott, that stoic and secretly passionate guy!
Seeing Xuanyuan Chengtian's cowardly expression, Rocard smirked and changed the subject, "Are you ready on your end? Since Wu Zimo has given us such a good start, we can't afford to fall behind."
When it came to serious matters, Xuanyuan Chengtian's expression turned serious as well. "Don't worry, I've already instructed the Information Department to stay fully alert. The Foreign Affairs Department has also prepared their statements, and Marshal Xuanyuan's Garrison Corps has heightened their vigilance."
Hearing Xuanyuan Chengtian's arrangements, Rocard nodded, then brought up the issue at the border, "With only Bokal stationed there, will there be any problems?"
Previously, they were aware of the existence of the research facility but didn't know how dark it was inside.
After receiving the data Scott sent back, various departments of the Federation immediately sprang into action, especially the Garrison Corps responsible for the Federation's domestic security.
They were worried that some people might have wild ideas and do something reckless.
"Marshal Moutri has already headed over."
Bokal's initial mission was to assist Scott and his team.
And now that the Mola Empire was in such turmoil, Xuanyuan Chengtian feared they might act desperately. So, upon receiving the news, he immediately sent Marshal Moutri of Bia's Corps to provide support.
Hearing that Xuanyuan Chengtian had it everything under control, Rocard didn't say more, "Then let's get started."
"Agreed."
While the Mola Empire was on high alert, all departments in the Federation were mobilized.
Amidst all this busyness, the most relaxed person was probably Wu Zimo on the Alman Battleship.
After a deep exchange with his dear Marshal and some affectionate moments, Scott got busy again.
Although Wu Zimo had nothing pressing to do, he wasn't idle either. He either went to the kitchen to chat with Chef Li or used the Light Brain to watch the drama unfolding in the Mola Empire.
With a sycophantic artificial intelligence at his disposal, Wu Zimo could even peek into the royal family's affairs and watch with great interest.
"Huh? I thought those escapees would keep hiding."
Wu Zimo was engrossed in the heated debates on the StarNetwork about the Mola Empire that were mostly targeting the management departments. Although there were some sanctimonious comments, they were quickly torn apart.
Among the heated posts, one quickly caught Wu Zimo's attention because it was posted by those who had escaped from the research facility.
The Mola Empire reacted swiftly, and many of the escaped test subjects were recaptured. However, some among them were clever enough to evade the Empire's pursuit initially.
They had planned to stay hidden quietly until things blew over, but because of Wu Zimo, the research facility's dark secrets were exposed, and the situation escalated. Those in hiding couldn't stay silent any longer.
Thinking about their experiences in the research lab, where they had no dignity and didn’t even know if they would open their eyes the next day, it was impossible for them not to feel resentment and anger.
Since someone had already exposed the truth, they didn’t mind adding fuel to the fire, and this fire was directly aimed at the royal family of the Mola Empire.
The victims came forward to share their stories, and without any attempt to conceal the truth, they directly pointed the finger at the royal family and stated that the research lab was being controlled by the royal family.
As soon as this post appeared, not only the citizens of the Mola Empire were shocked, but even the onlooking citizens of the Federation were in an uproar.
"Things are really getting more and more intense."
Wu Zimo scrolled through the posts while watching the discussions on the StarNetwork grow increasingly heated.
Meanwhile, sporadic unrest began to emerge within the Mola Empire itself, followed by the royal family sending troops to suppress it, the people resisting, and then further suppression—a never-ending cycle.
The current situation could only be described as the Mola Empire’s royal family reaping what they had sown.
"What are you looking at?"
Scott and Rocard had just finished discussing matters and returned to the lounge when they saw the young man curled up on the sofa while staring intently at the Light Brain, and not even noticing that Scott had entered.
Scott walked over to sit down beside Wu Zimo, and naturally reached out to pull him into his arms. He then leaned down and planted a kiss on the top of Wu Zimo’s head.
Wu Zimo only looked up from the Light Brain when Scott spoke. "Are you done with your work?"
After Scott sat down beside him and pulled him into his embrace, Wu Zimo found a comfortable position to lean against Scott’s chest. He then raised the Light Brain in his hand and answered Scott’s initial question.
"Look, the Mola Empire is in chaos now."
How could it not be? If it were just one or two officials with problems, it might be manageable but now the entire royal family was implicated.
Although the Mola Empire was a monarchy, it wasn’t a slave society and its citizens weren’t ignorant.
Protests, riots, and demands for answers were inevitable.
"Is Rocard and the others still not planning to act?"
With the Mola Empire in such disarray, it was impossible for Rocard and the others not to take advantage of the situation.
"They’ve already started." Scott said, ruffling Wu Zimo’s hair and did not keep him in suspense.
"Huh?"
'They’ve already acted? How come I didn’t know? I even have an artificial intelligence helping me monitor the network!'
Seeing Wu Zimo’s stunned expression, a hint of amusement flashed in Scott’s eyes. He then kindly explained, "Our people have made contact with those individuals."
At first, Wu Zimo didn’t understand Scott’s words, but after a moment of thought, it clicked.
So, those who had escaped had connected with the spies the Federation had planted in the Mola Empire. No wonder they dared to come forward and attack the royal family—they no longer had anything to fear.
No wonder they didn’t come forward earlier or later, but suddenly appeared at the height of the chaos. There had to be something behind it.
Since Rocard and the others had already taken action, Wu Zimo decided not to worry about it anymore.
He put away the Light Brain and pulled down the hand that was playing with his hair and instead take Scott’s large, calloused hand into his own to fiddle with.
"How much longer until we return to the Federation?"
The Mola Empire’s royal family was too busy dealing with the fallout from the research lab to pay attention to the group of Federation citizens moving around under their noses. But who knew if those brainless individuals might suddenly go crazy and turn their attention toward them?
Given that they were willing to conduct human experiments to enhance their strength, there was nothing they wouldn’t dare to do.
Scott noticed the concern in Wu Zimo's eyes and gently kissed the corner of his eye to reassure him, "There are still three days."
Three days was the normal travel time. If an emergency arose, the Alman Battleship could quickly activate Warp Speed Travel and significantly increase its speed.
The reason they didn't use Warp Speed Travel from the start was to deceive the vigilant individuals within the Mola Empire.
Hearing that it was only three days, Wu Zimo felt relieved. Surely, nothing unexpected would happen now.
However, an unexpected event did occur, though it was unclear whether it was a good thing for the
chaotic Mola Empire.
Wu Zimo looked worriedly at Scott, whose expression turned serious after receiving a message from Rocard.
