Chapter 210: A’ Mo: Big Boss!

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

Despite the immense pressure, Wu Zimo continued to speak under everyone's gaze. However, he wasn't addressing Scott; instead, he turned to look in Bokal's direction.

"Um, there's something I'd like to ask Lieutenant General Bokal."

"Please go ahead."

Of course, Bokal knew Wu Zimo.

During their first meeting, he had even teased the young man, though it was mainly to provoke Scott.

'Ahem'

Speaking of their first encounter, it had become somewhat of a black mark in Bokal's history, especially since Scott had given him a rather harsh lesson that day.

So, when Wu Zimo mentioned he had a question for him, not only was Bokal curious, but the others also turned their attention to Wu Zimo. Only Scott seemed to have an inkling of what Wu Zimo wanted to ask.

Before speaking, Wu Zimo glanced at Scott. Seeing Scott give a slight nod, he took a deep breath and continued, "I wanted to ask if you've intercepted any signals from the Zerg."

Wu Zimo's question caused Bokal and the other three marshals to pause briefly, but they quickly recovered.

Bokal also recalled Rocard's earlier reminder.

When the Zerg army was observed advancing, Rocard had specifically contacted Bokal, who was on the front lines, and instructed him to pay attention to collecting the Zerg's communication signals.

At the time, Bokal had been puzzled by Rocard's request and unsure what the man was up to. Nevertheless, he followed Rocard's instructions and had the soldiers responsible for monitoring the Zerg pay attention to any signals transmitted by them.

To be honest, the Zerg's signals were incomprehensible to humans, so Bokal had no idea why Rocard wanted him to collect them.

Initially, he couldn't figure it out, but now, hearing Wu Zimo bring it up again, Bokal wasn't slow to connect the dots. Rocard's request must have been for Wu Zimo's sake.

The only question was, what did Wu Zimo want with those Zerg signals?

Bokal didn't beat around the bush and nodded. "The soldiers in charge of monitoring have been collecting signals from the Zerg side."

"Really?!" Hearing this, Wu Zimo excitedly hurried over to Scott's side before looking up at him with a questioning gaze: 'Is it okay?'

Scott knew what Wu Zimo was asking. And in the current situation, it was fine for the others to learn about Wu Zimo's abilities. They were all trustworthy individuals.

Seeing Scott nod, Wu Zimo turned his attention back to the group on the bridge's large screen.

The others didn't know what the two had silently discussed, but they could tell that something shocking was about to happen.

Sure enough, Wu Zimo's next words not only stunned Xuanyuan and Bokal but also caused Old Marshal Alman and Marshal Moutri to lose their composure while staring at Wu Zimo in disbelief.

It was as if they were looking at some kind of alien.

"I can translate the Zerg's communications."

"What?!"

It was no wonder Old Marshal Alman and the others were shocked.

Even the Gader High Civilization, whose technological advancements far surpassed theirs, couldn't translate the Zerg's signal language. Yet here was this petite young man boldly claiming he could do it.

If it weren't for their trust in Wu Zimo's character, they might have suspected he was playing a prank on them.

Wu Zimo knew that others might not believe him, so he shrugged and didn't argue. At this moment, Scott, who had been quiet all along, finally spoke up, "Zimo is not lying."

"Uh, we're not doubting Xiao Mo's honesty, but what he said is just too important."

Old Marshal Alman and the others, having experienced many storms, quickly calmed down after the initial shock. Hearing Scott speak, Old Marshal Alman sighed helplessly.

Indeed, if what Wu Zimo said was true, he would become the most crucial weapon against the Zerg.

In previous battles between humans and the Zerg, humans lost because they knew nothing about the Zerg's language.

The Zerg, on the other hand, seemed to know that humans couldn't translate their signals, so they communicated without any reservations.

What frustrated humans the most was that the Zerg understood their language and forcing humans to encrypt their communications before daring to send them.

This unequal relationship was enough to drive humans to despair.

Scott also understood the implication of his father's words.

If he hadn't accidentally noticed the similarity between Wu Zimo's programming and the Zerg's language, he wouldn't have boldly speculated that Wu Zimo might be able to decipher the Zerg's language.

The result was pleasantly surprising—Wu Zimo could indeed translate the Zerg's language that give him a significant advantage in the previous battle against the Intelligent Zerg.

Scott recounted the details of his encounter with the Intelligent Zerg.

Marshal Moutri and Marshal Xuanyuan had read the post-battle report, but Scott had erased any traces of Wu Zimo's involvement. Therefore, apart from the soldiers who were with them at the time and vaguely knew of Wu Zimo's abilities, outsiders were completely unaware.

Those soldiers were Scott's most loyal subordinates, and they knew exactly what to say and what to keep to themselves.

"Good! Very good! Hahaha!"

No longer doubting Wu Zimo's abilities, Old Marshal Alman slammed the table in excitement.

The old man's gaze toward Wu Zimo was filled with admiration.

His own son had a keen eye—such a treasure had been discovered and brought into his fold, very much in the style of the Alman family!

As for Marshal Moutri and Marshal Xuanyuan, they certainly understood why Old Marshal Alman was so excited. Their expressions were a bit conflicted, and while they weren't exactly envious or jealous of Scott, they were still somewhat frustrated by his incredible luck.

As the Marshals of the three major military factions, they had the authority to know about the New Battleship Control System and the New Energy Shield System that Wu Zimo had developed. And they were envious of Scott for having such a highly capable partner.

Now, they were being told that Wu Zimo's abilities didn't stop there—he could even translate the Zerg's language.

Such a treasure!

It wasn't just Scott who would protect him fiercely; if they had him, they would guard him just as carefully!

Scott paid no attention to the resentful looks from others. Wu Zimo was his, and he would never allow anyone else to lay a finger on him.

"Major General Bokal, please send over the Zerg signals you've collected."

"Oh, right away."

Scott's words interrupted the envy and jealousy in the room, and Bokal didn't waste any time as he immediately instructed his subordinates to package and send the collected signals to Scott.

Scott received the document and immediately forwarded it to Wu Zimo.

Wu Zimo glanced at the file on his Light Brain before he smiled with satisfaction, and then looked up at the three Marshals who were eagerly watching him.

Wu Zimo knew what they wanted to say. So, before they could speak, he smiled and said, "Don’t worry, everyone. After I translate the content, I’ll send it to you. At the same time, I hope you can help collect signals from the Zerg."

Except for Bokal, the other three Marshals were stationed in different locations. Wu Zimo couldn’t afford to miss signals from those areas.

"No problem." They happily agreed and were feeling pleased with Wu Zimo’s initiative.

Next, Scott and the other four discussed battlefield deployment strategies but Wu Zimo didn’t pay much attention.

After receiving the document, he found a soft-looking sofa, nestled into it, and opened his Light Brain to access the files Bokal had sent.

The document contained data converted from Zerg signals.

To the untrained eye, it was more confusing than ancient scriptures.

However, under Wu Zimo’s skilled hands, the chaotic data was quickly organized.

Once the data was neatly arranged, Wu Zimo began the translation work.

Although Scott and the others were engrossed in their meeting, they occasionally glanced at Wu Zimo.

The petite young man was curled up on the large sofa while holding his Light Brain with his dark eyes focused intently on the screen and occasionally muttering something. Even Scott couldn’t understand what he was saying, but seeing the serious expression on the boy’s face, they couldn’t help but smile.

Their voices unconsciously softened.

As the video conference was about to end, Wu Zimo, who had been quietly working on the translation, suddenly called out to everyone.

"Xiao Mo, is there a problem?" Old Marshal Alman thought that Wu Zimo might be facing some difficulty and immediately asked.

"No, Father, no need to worry."

Although Wu Zimo hadn’t met Old Marshal Alman many times, he could clearly feel the man’s genuine concern. Seeing his anxious expression, Wu Zimo quickly explained.

"What’s going on then?"

Scott also walked over to Wu Zimo. He knew that Wu Zimo wouldn’t interrupt them unless it was something important.

"This is what I just translated. I think you should take a look."

Indeed, as Scott had guessed, if the translated information hadn’t been so crucial, Wu Zimo wouldn’t have specifically called out to Old Marshal Alman and the others except if they needed to know this immediately.

As Wu Zimo spoke, he projected the translated content onto the screen for everyone to see.

When they saw the content on the screen, not just Bokal, but the other three Marshals and Scott were all visibly shocked.

"Wu Zimo, are you sure there are no errors in your translation?"

Understanding the gravity of the information, Marshal Moutri’s skepticism was natural. But Wu Zimo nodded solemnly.

"In the signals collected by Lieutenant General Bokal, there are numerous communications among the Zerg about this."

So, if one instance could be a mistake, dozens or hundreds of instances couldn’t possibly be errors.

"We understand, but this matter is of utmost importance and requires collective discussion on how to respond. It concerns not just the Federation, but all intelligent civilizations fighting against the Zerg."

"Xiao Mo, we need to inform the entire interstellar about this. Are you okay with that?" Marshal Moutri said and followed by Old Marshal Alman.

Wu Zimo shook his head and reached out to hold Scott's hand beside him.

He understood the gravity of the situation, so he didn't mind his abilities being exposed.

No wonder everyone's expressions were so serious, for the content on the screen was none other than about the Mother Zerg—

The Mother Zerg herself would descend and personally eradicate the human civilization!
