Chapter 211: A’ Mo: Darling, you're so cool, right?!

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

There is only one being that the Zerg reverently call the Queen Zerg, and that is the terrifying Mother Zerg that strikes fear into the hearts of all.

The Mother Zerg will personally descend to eradicate this human civilization!

These words undoubtedly sent shivers down everyone's spines. Coupled with the latest intelligence gathered by the Gader civilization, Scott and the others' expressions turned grim.

The target of the moving Mother Zerg was undoubtedly the Federation.

What could the Federation possibly have done to warrant the personal intervention of the Mother Zerg?

In truth, it was not at all surprising that the Mother Zerg had suddenly set its sights on the Federation. After breaking through the Dimensional Barrier and entering this universe to wage war against all intelligent life for so many years, Federation was the first to discover the existence of the Intelligent Zerg.

Due to its enormous size, the Mother Zerg required vast amounts of energy to move. Thus, it specifically created the Intelligent Zerg, which acted as its avatars and held a status within the Zerg hierarchy second only to the Mother Zerg itself.

Never before had an Intelligent Zerg been killed. Yet, in this small human civilization's battle, a precious Intelligent Zerg had been lost. Before its death, the Intelligent Zerg had sent a crucial message to the Mother Zerg.

It was about the discovery of an enemy that posed a significant threat to the Zerg, and that enemy was Scott.

And a threat must be eliminated as quickly as possible.

The Mother Zerg's cunning was no less than that of intelligent life resisting its invasion.

With the exposure of the Intelligent Zerg, the Mother Zerg decided to make an example of the Federation.

Thus, the Federation became the proverbial chicken used to warn the monkeys.

Wu Zimo was unaware of all these intricate details.

The most critical information he deciphered was that the Mother Zerg would personally appear in the Federation.

Marshal Moutri was right to say that this news should be broadcast across the universe, for the Mother Zerg's massive size and slow movement meant it would not maneuver like a starship to avoid planets.

With the Zerg's domineering nature, all planets in the path of the Mother Zerg would become targets of its attack and consumption.

From the Dark Star Domain to the Federation's star domain, there were at least a hundred star domains in between, and each was containing countless planets.

Faced with such urgent news, Marshal Moutri, seeing that neither Scott nor Wu Zimo objected, immediately ended the communication and used a special channel to broadcast this message across the universe, especially to the star domains between the Dark Star Domain and the Federation.

As Marshal Moutri disseminated the message, the shock and panic it caused among the civilizations that received it were unknown to Wu Zimo, who stood by Scott's side.

He looked up at Scott, whose facial muscles were tightly clenched.

Even though he opened his mouth, Wu Zimo ultimately said nothing. Instead, he reached out and took Scott's hand, which hung at his side, and held it tightly.

Feeling his right hand enveloped in softness, Scott snapped out of his thoughts and looked down into a pair of black eyes filled with concern.

Realizing that his tension had worried the young man, Scott's gaze softened. He gently pulled his hand from Wu Zimo's grasp, then opened his arms and embraced Wu Zimo.

Resting his chin on Wu Zimo's head, Scott whispered, "Don't worry, everything will be fine."

Even though they were about to face the ferocious and immensely powerful Mother Zerg, Scott would never lose his fighting spirit.

Not only because he was the Marshal of the Federation, but also because he needed to protect his family and the beloved person in his arms.

"But this time, we're up against the Mother Zerg." Wu Zimo murmured while burying his face in Scott's sturdy chest causing his voice to become muffled.

The Mother Zerg, and the supreme ruler of the Zerg.

They only knew that the Mother Zerg was enormous in size and incredibly powerful, but they had no other information about it.

Because every battleship or planet that had ever faced the Mother Zerg had been completely annihilated, with no survivors.

That's why Marshal Moutri was so tense upon learning that the Mother Zerg was heading toward the Federation. He was not only worried about the future of the Federation but also concerned for the lives along the Mother Zerg's path.

The behavior of this ultimate boss, the Mother Zerg, was truly like that of locusts—leaving nothing behind in its wake.

"Even if it's the Mother Zerg, we should still face it without fear."

Hearing the determination in Scott's words, Wu Zimo looked up and met a pair of resolute, fearless silver eyes. The aura emanating from Scott at that moment made it impossible for Wu Zimo to look away.

Wu Zimo had always known that Scott was handsome and captivating.

As someone who was obsessed with good looks, he had been completely smitten the first time he saw Scott.

Now, with Scott's bold declaration, Wu Zimo felt an overwhelming urge to worship him.

"Scott."

"Hmm?"

"I just realized you're so ridiculously handsome, aren't you?"

After saying this excitedly, Wu Zimo stood on his tiptoes then wrapped his arms around Scott's neck, and pulled him down to crash their lips together.

"..."

The Marshal was quite pleased with the young man's enthusiasm and initiative, though it would have been better if he were a bit gentler.

Scott could feel the impact, and it was a bit painful, not to mention how it must have felt for Wu Zimo in his arms. But Wu Zimo was too excited to care about the slight pain from bumping his teeth.

He just wanted to plant a few more kisses on his ridiculously handsome idol's lips.

Noticing Wu Zimo's eagerness, Scott chuckled and then took the initiative himself.

He didn't know why Wu Zimo had suddenly become so excited, but as long as the worry in the young man's eyes disappeared, it was fine. And just as he had said, even if they were facing the terrifying Mother Zerg, he would not be afraid.

While the Marshal was busy comforting his partner, the onlookers who had been fed a hefty dose of "dog food" could only sigh in pity.

At the same time, they also noticed that the Marshal could be so gentle.

Was this the so-called "tough exterior with a tender heart?"

Thanks to Wu Zimo's interruption, the tension among everyone about the impending arrival of the Mother Zerg in the Federation had eased considerably.

The aura Scott had exuded earlier had genuinely inspired everyone present and made them feel that as long as the Marshal was there, they could face anything without fear!

It was no wonder that Scott Alman was the Federation's idol and protector. Just seeing him gave people a sense of security and fearlessness.

Also encouraged by Scott, Wu Zimo was no longer worried.

The Mother Zerg was just another challenge, and his Marshal was so powerful that even the Mother Zerg could be subdued.

After he calmed down, Wu Zimo stopped bothering Scott and returned to his role as a translator as he snuggled on the sofa with his Light Brain.

Wu Zimo understood that the responsibility on his shoulders was immense.

The Zerg were unaware that the Federation had someone capable of translating their communication, which gave the Federation a crucial advantage in this battle.

To maintain this advantage, Wu Zimo couldn't afford to slack off even a little.

The other Marshals who were aware of Wu Zimo's abilities also placed greater emphasis on the various signals transmitted by the Zerg. The communications team had two groups dedicated to collecting information to ensure that nothing was missed.

Due to the increased focus on this aspect, Wu Zimo's Light Brain had no time to rest. Eventually, he had to enlist the help of the Master Control System of the Heaven Wrath Corps to assist with organizing the data.

However, the Master Control System couldn't handle the translation.

It was strange; even when Wu Zimo explained the meaning behind certain code sequences to the system, it still couldn't translate them correctly.

When it attempted to force a translation, the results were so bizarre that Wu Zimo could only twitch his lips in disbelief.

For example, the system might translate something like, "The sun is shining brightly today, but it's raining heavily and flooding" or "The ore I just ate was delicious, and I ended up eating the team leader" These nonsensical statements were completely unrelated to the actual content.

If it wasn't the Zerg acting strangely, then it must be the Master Control System making errors. After reviewing the system's translations, Wu Zimo decided to only use it for organizing the data.

The actual content wasn't about the sun or eating the team leader; it was about the Zerg encountering cosmic gamma rays, which some of the lower-tier Zerg couldn't withstand that lead to their deaths and becoming nourishment for the rest.

Even artificial intelligence couldn't translate this properly, so Wu Zimo had to rely on himself and work alone!

While Wu Zimo was busy, Scott and the other battlefield commanders were even more occupied.

Old Marshall Alman, Marshal Moutri, and Marshal Xuanyuan had already led their forces to the defensive positions they were assigned to.

Scott and Bokal had also reached the front lines.

Although Rocard was Scott's deputy, he didn't go to the front lines.

Instead, he stayed in the rear and worked with Xuanyuan Chengtian to stabilize the Federation's homeland.

Marshal Moutri's report wasn't just circulated throughout the universe; since the Federation was the ultimate target of the Mother Zerg, Xuanyuan Chengtian, upon learning this news, used his presidential authority to convene an emergency cabinet meeting.

The meeting revolved around whether or not to publicly announce this news.

Xuanyuan Chengtian supported making the announcement, but some conservative lawmakers were against it because they feared that it would cause panic among the populace.

To the average citizen, the Mother Zerg was a legendary and terrifying enemy. And telling them that this fearsome foe was heading their way would undoubtedly cause alarm.

However, the number of conservatives was small, and thanks to Xuanyuan Chengtian's recent cleanup efforts, those with ulterior motives in the government and cabinet had been mostly purged. Thus, the final vote was in favor of Xuanyuan Chengtian's proposal to make the announcement.

As Xuanyuan Chengtian put it, "The people have the right to know. Even if we don't announce it, we shouldn't treat them as fools. Moreover, I believe in our soldiers—they will protect our homeland!"

When the news was first announced, there was indeed chaos among the populace.

Those who were timid and fearful began packing their belongings to flee the Federation, but the majority chose to stay within Federation territory.

As Xuanyuan Chengtian had said, they believed that the soldiers fighting on the border under the command of Marshal Alman would protect their homeland.

At a time when the unity of the Federation's citizens was growing stronger, Scott and his team had also formulated a plan.

"Scott, are you suggesting we take the initiative and strike directly?"

"Yes. Rather than letting the war spread to the Federation, we should take the initiative and intercept the Mother Zerg far from the Federation."

Scott addressed Bokal and the four individuals on the large screen.

This video conference was not only attended by Old Marshal Alman and his team but also by Xuanyuan Chengtian, the President of the Federation.
