Chapter 212: A’ Mo: Let's all have fun together

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

Scott opened a star map in front of everyone and continued, "Here."

Everyone's gaze followed Scott's finger. Old Marshal Alman and Marshal Moutri frowned slightly, while Marshal Xuanyuan, Xuanyuan Chengtian, and Bokal looked puzzled.

"Scott, where is this?" Xuanyuan Chengtian was the first to break the silence by asking curiously.

"This is the Abyss Star Region."

Hearing this name, the previously confused Xuanyuan Chengtian and the others immediately showed a look of realization.

It was no wonder they didn't know, as the Abyss Star Region had little presence. Moreover, there were no intelligent life forms in this star region, so it attracted even less attention.

Most of the planets in the Abyss Star Region were barren, with many asteroid belts inside.

There was nothing worth exploring or developing for other civilizations, so while most people had heard of it, they didn't pay much attention to it.

Old Marshal Alman and Marshal Moutri could recognize it only because of their age and extensive experience. When Scott brought up the star map of the Abyss Star Region, they immediately recognized it and vaguely understood Scott's plan.

"Scott, are you planning to move the battlefield to the Abyss Star Region?"

Seeing Scott bring up the star map of the Abyss Star Region, his plan wasn't hard to guess. Old Marshal Alman was somewhat interested in Scott's plan, but for the current Federation, it would be difficult to execute.

Marshal Moutri also spoke up, "The Federation can hardly spare more troops to actively intercept the Mother Zerg."

Indeed, Scott's plan was tempting, but it was challenging to implement.

The Federation was currently surrounded by a large group of Zerg. They couldn't withdraw troops from the Federation's periphery for an interception plan that might not succeed.

Although the Federation could initiate an emergency conscription, it wasn't suitable under these circumstances.

To intercept the Mother Zerg, this task required elite soldiers from the military. However, there weren't as many elites in the military as one might wish.

Scott was also aware of the issues with this plan, but he had already thought it through. In response to Marshal Moutri's helplessness, he directly said, "We can cooperate with other advanced civilizations."

"You mean?"

Hearing Scott's words, Old Marshal Alman and the others all had a gleam in their eyes.

Bokal and Xuanyuan Chengtian, the younger ones, even stood up excitedly.

To be honest, although the Federation knew of the existence of other advanced civilizations and occasionally had contact with them, the only intelligent civilization they had met was the Mola Empire from the neighboring star system.

Mentioning the Mola Empire was enough—that country was not only disgusting but also an enemy of the Federation and always wanting to annex it. Honestly, such a neighbor eyeing them covetously was better off not existing.

However, not all civilizations in the galaxy were like the Mola Empire, who was constantly thinking about conquest and expanding their territory. In fact, there were quite a few very kind and peace-loving civilizations, but they were too far from the Federation.

The only communication between the two sides could only be through the StarNetwork.

Scott's plan gave them a sense of a grand alliance.

Scott nodded with his voice steady and resolute. "This is a crisis for the Federation, but it is also an opportunity."

His firm words left everyone in the room in contemplative silence.

After pondering Scott's words, it was clear that he was right.

Directly confronting the Mother Zerg, a terrifying and powerful enemy, was indeed the greatest crisis the Federation had faced since its establishment. However, it also presented an opportunity for all intelligent races across the universe to engage in the battle against the Zerg.

All intelligent lifeforms fighting the Zerg knew that their greatest enemy was the Mother Zerg, the supreme ruler of all Zerg.

It was because of the Mother Zerg's existence that the Zerg could never be completely eradicated.

It wasn't as if no one had ever considered targeting the Mother Zerg.

Everyone knew that if the Mother Zerg were eliminated, the Zerg roaming the universe would eventually be wiped out. Instead of the current situation, where every encounter with the Zerg ended in a mindless slaughter with no end in sight.

But over the years, every assassination team sent to eliminate the Mother Zerg had failed. Many didn't even get a glimpse of the Mother Zerg before their entire team was annihilated.

This wasn't just due to the sheer numbers and strength of the Zerg within the Dark Star Region, but also because of the inherent dangers of the Dark Star Region itself.

The Dark Star Region was an area of space with extreme instability, frequently swept by cosmic storms and filled with deadly radiation. Even the Zerg suffered heavy losses when caught in these phenomena.

The Dark Star Region was perilous, but for the Mother Zerg, it was a comfortable haven.

The breach through which the Mother Zerg had broken the Dimensional Barrier and entered this universe was located in the Dark Star Region. It was the chaotic nature of this region that allowed the Mother Zerg to infiltrate this universe.

The chaotic spatial energies of the Dark Star Region were the most suitable nourishment for the Mother Zerg. As for the intelligent life forms or energy ores in the universe, they were merely snacks for the Mother Zerg.

Even the Gader civilization, the first to discover the Zerg and the ones who had been monitoring the Mother Zerg, didn't fully understand its situation. Otherwise, they would have exhausted all means to lure the Mother Zerg away from the Dark Star Region.

Because as long as the Mother Zerg remained in the Dark Star Region, its power would only continue to grow.

No one wanted to face an enemy that grew stronger every day.

The fact that the Intelligent Zerg's threat assessment of Scott had prompted the Mother Zerg to leave the Dark Star Region and personally intervene to eliminate him was something Marshal Moutri might consider an honor.

Of course, whether it was an honor or not was beside the point. The Mother Zerg's departure from the Dark Star Region truly presented an opportunity for Scott and his allies—or rather, for all intelligent life in the universe.

Such a critical matter couldn't be shouldered by the Federation alone. This was a time for collective effort and to rally all advanced civilizations capable of deploying forces to confront the Mother Zerg.

Especially Gader, the civilization with the deepest enmity toward the Zerg and the most advanced technology.

After hearing Scott's plan, everyone nodded in agreement.

Marshal Moutri even volunteered to take on the task of contacting the other civilizations.

"Then we'll leave the matter of communication to Marshal Moutri."

"Don't worry," Marshal Moutri chuckled. "Given that this concerns the peace of the entire universe, they shouldn't refuse."

Marshal Moutri often had connections with other civilizations, so Scott felt reassured entrusting this task to him.

As Marshal Moutri had said, such an important matter would not be something other interstellar civilizations could easily decline.

No one would like having a group of covetous predators constantly lurking at their doorstep.

Over the thousands of years since the Zerg appeared in this universe, countless intelligent lives had been lost, including many exceptionally talented geniuses.

Even the Alman family had lost many members in battles against the Zerg, including Scott's grandfather and grandmother, who had sacrificed their lives on the battlefield.

Marshal Moutri, being anxious about the matter, ended the communication immediately after speaking with Scott.

Marshal Xuanyuan and Xuanyuan Chengtian discussed with Scott the logistics of deploying troops to intercept the Mother Zerg and how to allocate forces from various Federation defense points before also ending the call.

Finally, only Old Marshal Alman remained.

The Old Marshal glanced around Scott before asking, "Scott, where’s little Mo?"

After discussing the important matters, Old Marshal Alman finally had the time to inquire about his long-unseen daughter-in-law.

Usually, whenever he communicated with Scott, he would see Wu Zimo sticking close to his son.

Why was he absent today?

"You brat, did you make little Mo angry?"

Only Old Marshal Alman could call Scott, the Federation War God, a brat.

Bokal, who is standing nearby, almost couldn’t hold back a laugh.

However, when he looked up and saw Scott’s expression remain unchanged, he couldn’t help but admire Scott’s composure.

Hearing his father mention Wu Zimo, Scott’s tense muscles relaxed slightly and a trace of tenderness flashed in his eyes. "Recently, the Zerg’s communications have been very frequent. Zimo has been busy with translation work."

Of course, Scott wished Wu Zimo could always stay by his side—this was a common desire among all Sentinels bound to their Guides. However, Scott would never force it.

Watching Wu Zimo diligently typing on the Light Brain to translate the Zerg’s complex and incomprehensible messages into readable data, Scott knew this was Wu Zimo’s passion and his will.

He also understood that Wu Zimo’s hard work was for him and for the Federation.

Recently, thanks to the translations provided by Wu Zimo, the Federation had been gaining the upper hand in battles against the Zerg.

Each victory not only boosted the morale of the soldiers on the front lines but also strengthened the confidence of the Federation’s citizens in Scott and the other border defenders.

Coupled with the propaganda and efforts of Xuanyuan Chengtian and others, the Federation had become a united force from top to bottom. Such a Federation was what Scott described as fearless in the face of any difficulty.

Hearing that Wu Zimo was busy, Old Marshal Alman fell silent.

Reflecting on the recent situation on the front lines, he couldn’t help but sigh. "Little Mo’s appearance has been a blessing for our Federation, and even for the entire universe."

If it weren’t for the translations provided by Wu Zimo, which allowed them to anticipate the movements of the Zerg army and seize the initiative before each battle, the Federation would never have been able to face such a massive Zerg force with such ease.

"Scott, take good care of little Mo. Don’t let him overwork himself."

The frontline needed the information provided by Wu Zimo, but Old Marshal Alman was also unwilling to see Wu Zimo fall ill from overexertion.

"Please rest assured, Father. I will take good care of Zimo." Scott said.

His partner didn’t need his father’s reminder—Scott would naturally ensure Wu Zimo’s well-being.

"Very well. When you depart, I’ll have Rocard take over your frontline command duties."

"Yes."

Intercepting the Mother Zerg was, of course, a task that Scott, the strongest Marshal, would personally lead.

Therefore, the frontline responsibilities had to be handed over to Rocard, as Bokal had immediately volunteered to join the mission when Scott proposed the plan.
