Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)
Just from listening to Wu Zimo and Scott's descriptions, Doctor Wang understood how serious the situation was. However, after conducting a thorough examination using various instruments, Doctor Wang found no issues.
Doctor Wang had Wu Zimo step out of the examination device while his brows furrowed deeply.
"Doctor Wang, how is the situation?" Scott helped Wu Zimo sit up and step out of the examination device while asking Doctor Wang, who was reviewing the examination data.
Yet, despite flipping through the examination results repeatedly, Doctor Wang couldn't find any problematic areas and could only shake his head at Scott and Wu Zimo.
"The instruments couldn't detect any issues with Xiao Mo's condition. As you know, Marshal, the Federation's research on spiritual strength is still in its infancy. We don't even fully understand the reasons behind the awakening of Guides and Sentinels, let alone the spiritual world of the Awakened."
Although the Federation has had Awakened individuals for thousands of years, it is still in the exploratory stage regarding Sentinels and Guides.
In fact, not just the Federation, but other advanced civilizations are in a similar situation.
The Gader Civilization has a theory that humans, after entering the universe, were influenced by certain cosmic particles, which altered some genes, and combined with certain stimuli, led to their awakening.
Of course, some civilizations propagate this as human natural selection and a form of evolution.
And Indeed, the dangers in the universe are unimaginable. Without strong abilities and high physical fitness, it would be impossible to explore the universe.
The Federation is a nascent cosmic civilization, and the emergence of Sentinels and Guides is not long-standing, so it's normal that research in this area is not deep.
As for the spiritual world, Doctor Wang and others only know that those with strong spiritual strength have particularly unique spiritual worlds. They also know that if a Sentinel or Guide's spiritual world collapses, the individual will either die or become a vegetable.
"Although Xiao Mo's spiritual world has changed significantly, I can see from the examination data that the values have indeed fluctuated compared to before, but these fluctuations are within an acceptable range and are healthy."
However, there was one thing Doctor Wang didn't tell Wu Zimo directly: his fluctuation curve was similar to Scott's, only Wu Zimo's was relatively gentle, while Scott's was much more intense.
Doctor Wang didn't mention this to Wu Zimo. But after the two left, he sent a message to Scott.
Doctor Wang originally didn't know about Wu Zimo's identity, but with the Feng Family making a lot of noise, he found out that Wu Zimo was actually a descendant of the Feng Family. As the exclusive Guide Physician for the Alman Family, he had heard some secrets.
Although he was deeply skeptical of the so-called Phoenix legend of the Feng Family, now that such a miraculous high-dimensional creature as the Quantum Beast has appeared, it wouldn't be strange if a legendary divine beast like the Phoenix also emerged.
Not getting any results from Doctor Wang, Wu Zimo and Scott had to put the matter aside for now. In fact, after learning from Doctor Wang that he was healthy, Wu Zimo didn't feel much, and Scott, after receiving Doctor Wang's message, also stopped mentioning it.
After a long period of Warp Speed Travel, they finally arrived at the rendezvous point of the joint fleet, as they had more important tasks at hand.
Upon exiting Subspace, Wu Zimo saw various starships from different interstellar civilizations on the main screen of the bridge.
From the screen, Wu Zimo truly realized how vast the universe was, and how diverse and colorful the life forms within it were, especially when it came to their unique aesthetic sensibilities.
Spindle-shaped ships were common, as were disc-shaped ones, reminiscent of the UFO sightings often reported back on Earth. However, the spiral, twisted, and vertically shell-shaped ships made him wonder if they even considered aerodynamic resistance during flight.
What surprised Wu Zimo the most was a particularly unique group within the fleet.
He couldn’t make out the shape of their ships at all; all he saw was a colorful mist.
As Scott and the fleet exited Subspace, a communication request came through from the front.
Although Scott was the architect of the plan, the Federation’s history and capabilities were considered below average compared to other civilizations in the universe.
If the Federation were to take command, not all civilizations would comply. Therefore, Scott had agreed with Marshal Moutri from the start that this operation would be commanded by the advanced Gader Civilization.
Of course, on the surface, command authority rested with the Gader Civilization, but both sides knew that the true commander was Scott Alman, the Marshal from the Federation.
The Gader Civilization was powerful, but they were straightforward and respected strength. They admired those with capability and submitted to the strong.
Scott’s abilities, as well as those of his partner Wu Zimo, earned their respect, and they looked forward to meeting Scott Alman, a true powerhouse.
Thus, as soon as the Federation’s starship appeared, the representative from the Gader Civilization immediately sent a communication request.
"Marshal, we have a communication request from the Gader Civilization."
"Put it through."
"Yes, sir!"
Wu Zimo had never seen what the people of the Gader Civilization looked like before.
So when the communication was established, he was momentarily at a loss for words as he gazed at the figure on the screen.
Had he not traveled to a sci-fi world, but rather a fantasy one? How else could elves from a magical world have appeared!
Indeed, the figure on the screen was slender and tall, with pointed ears, an extraordinarily handsome face, fair skin, captivating eyes, a sharp nose, and full red lips—a natural beauty with a heart-shaped face!
Wu Zimo should be grateful that he was constantly trained by Scott, who was so handsome it was almost unfair, or else he would have been completely mesmerized.
However, the only thing Wu Zimo could complain about this beauty was that he couldn’t tell if they were male or female…
Their chest was so flat it was hard to describe, but their voice and appearance didn’t seem particularly masculine either!
The appearance of the Gader Civilization’s representative was indeed stunning that the other soldiers on the bridge who were also seeing them for the first time, were momentarily dazzled but they quickly regained their composure.
After all, their Marshal was also a strikingly handsome man, even more so than the representative from the Gader Civilization!
Wu Zimo was lost in thought, so he didn’t catch what Scott was discussing with the beautiful representative.
Especially since the conversation eventually turned to him.
"Zimo?"
Scott could sense the friendliness from the representative of the advanced Gader civilization.
When the representative expressed curiosity about Wu Zimo, the young man who could translate the language of the Zerg, and mentioned wanting to meet him, Scott had no objections.
"Ah." Wu Zimo, who had been daydreaming, quickly pulled his wandering thoughts back from the edge of the universe and put on a modest smile.
Wu Zimo’s photo hadn’t been leaked, so everyone only knew his name but not what he looked like.
The Gader advanced civilization representative, named Utaima, immediately turned his gaze upon hearing Scott’s call. And without waiting for Scott to introduce him, he excitedly said, "You’re Wu Zimo, the miraculous young man who can translate the language of the Zerg? Oh, you’re truly amazing!"
As he spoke, Utaima clasped his hands over his chest as his excitement was unmistakably genuine.
"Ah, my apologies for being rude. You can just call me Utaima. As for my full name, I doubt you’d have the patience to hear it all."
It’s said that beautiful people radiate charm no matter what expression they wear. But for Wu Zimo, beauty aside, he found this representative rather amusing.
As for the length of his name, Wu Zimo agreed.
The ridiculously long names from those over-the-top Mary Sue novels he’d read in his past life paled in comparison to the names of the Gader advanced civilization.
The naming conventions of the Gader advanced civilization were somewhat similar to those of ancient European families.
The more middle names one had, the higher their status as these middle names were honors not just anyone could claim. Fortunately, the Gader civilization had a long enough history for this.
"Hehe, hello, Utaima. I’m actually not as amazing as you think." Wu Zimo replied while feeling more at ease with his friendly demeanor.
"No, no, no! You don’t understand. When Marshal Moutri informed the Queen of your abilities, she was very surprised and expressed a strong desire to meet you."
"Uh, that’s not necessary, is it?" Hearing that he had caught the attention of a Queen, Wu Zimo wasn’t sure whether to feel proud or not.
The Gader advanced civilization was also a monarchy, but their method of selecting a Monarch was quite unique.
It was based on individual ability, and the winner of a trial would become the next ruler.
That’s why they held Scott and Wu Zimo in such high regard—their abilities had earned the recognition of the Gader advanced civilization.
Wu Zimo knew the Gader civilization wasn’t as foolish as the Mola Empire, but having lived two lives as an ordinary citizen, he preferred to keep his distance from royal figures.
So to steer the conversation away, Wu Zimo subtly signaled Scott for help.
Catching Wu Zimo’s glance, a hint of amusement flashed in Scott’s eyes when he saw the young man a bit flustered, especially after hearing the Queen’s interest in him, so Scott kindly took over the conversation.
When discussing serious matters, Utaima was very composed.
Wu Zimo, who was fully attentive, noticed that while he had previously thought this beauty had a lively personality, the demeanor he displayed now was no less impressive than that of Scott, the Federation Marshal.
This made Wu Zimo wonder if he had a split personality or was suffering from dissociative identity disorder, as the difference in his behavior was so stark.
By the time the Federation fleet joined up with the forward fleet, Scott and Utaima's conversation was nearly over.
At the end, Utaima specifically reminded Scott, "Marshal Alman, the representative from the Mola Empire, has been very active since their arrival. Please be cautious."
Utaima was well aware of the relationship between the Mola Empire and the Federation, especially given the recent scandal that had erupted from the Mola Empire, which had left him with a poor impression of their civilization.
The Gader higher civilization values individual strength, but they hold a deep disdain for the kind of human experimentation conducted by the Mola Empire.
