Chapter 221: Marshal: Battle!

Marshal, Please Calm Down (MARSHAL)

When human emperors travel, they are surrounded by a grand entourage, let alone the Mother Zerg, the sole Queen of the Zerg.

The Gader Advanced Civilization's warships detected the Advance Dimensional Zerg, which were the vanguard escorting the Mother Zerg.

The fact that Advance Dimensional Zerg were used to clear the path indicates just how formidable the Mother Zerg is.

Fortunately, while the Mother Zerg's forces are strong, they are not numerous. As Wu Zimo put it, quality trumps quantity.

Wu Zimo looked at the shared visuals from the Gader Advanced Civilization and observing the ferocious appearance of the Advance Dimensional Zerg. These types of royal guards had never appeared before.

"There is no Intelligent Zerg." Wu Zimo carefully observed but did not see the white insect that could attack the Sentinels' Spiritual Strength.

At that moment, Utaima's voice came through, "All the Zerg designated as Intelligent Zerg have been sent to the front lines."

"What?!" Upon hearing this news, Wu Zimo immediately turned to Scott.

When he was translating Zerg information in the Federation, he hadn't come across this piece of information.

If all the Intelligent Zerg have been dispatched, then the interstellar civilizations fighting against the Zerg are in great danger. The lethality of the Intelligent Zerg is too high.

"Have faith in them." Scott knew what Wu Zimo was thinking, so his steady and firm voice calm Wu Zimo's anxiety.

"Right, we must believe in our comrades behind us. By the way, here is the latest collected signal. I hope you can translate it before the battle begins."

Compared to Wu Zimo's tension, Utaima was relaxed.

And taking advantage of the remaining time before the battle, he quickly packaged and sent the collected Zerg communication signals to Wu Zimo.

Utaima specifically asked if Wu Zimo would go to the battlefield for this reason.

Besides wanting to see Wu Zimo's capabilities, he needed Wu Zimo's ability to translate Zerg signals as an external aid.

"No problem."

Wu Zimo also knew the weight of his task.

Upon receiving Utaima's file, he ignored the terrifying Zerg on the screen and quickly organized and translated the content of the file.

After Wu Zimo's careful translation, he finally understood why the Mother Zerg had suddenly accelerated its pace. It was because the casualties of the Zerg on the front lines had increased significantly compared to before.

Don't think that just because many elite members from various interstellar civilizations were drawn out to ambush the Mother Zerg that their home defenses would be left vulnerable and breached by the border Zerg.

This time, everyone knew it was a do-or-die battle, so all interstellar civilizations truly brought out their hidden strengths to ensure that they wouldn't drag down the expeditionary force.

Because of this fighting spirit, even with the Intelligent Zerg commanding on the front lines, they couldn't gain an advantage.

The Zerg suffered many casualties and infuriating the Mother Zerg, who had always considered this universe its feeding ground, and it vowed to show the universe's ants its might.

Wu Zimo shared the content he had translated.

Whether the other teams, who received this possibly good news would be excited, Wu Zimo didn't know.

He looked up at Scott, and indeed, there was a sense of reassurance in his gaze.

Rocard and the others had resiliently protected their homeland.

Scott's gaze met Wu Zimo's, and his eyes softened slightly as he reached out to pat Wu Zimo's shoulder.

"We can't let their efforts go to waste."

"Right!"

Not just Wu Zimo, but everyone's fighting spirit was ignited.

Their comrades defending their homeland were so formidable; they absolutely couldn't fall short.

"It's here!"

Scott's cool voice came through the encrypted communication channel and reaching everyone's ears. Wu Zimo looked up and saw the massive figure displayed on the main screen of the Alman Battleship's bridge.

"Is... is that the Mother Zerg?"

It was no wonder Wu Zimo was so shocked.

The image on the screen showed a creature so massive it resembled a small planet. Its lower abdomen was round and bulging, and if it weren't for the enormous claws protruding from its body, Wu Zimo might have mistaken it for a celestial body rather than the Queen of the Zerg.

"Yes, that's the Mother Zerg." Utaima's tone was no longer as relaxed as before.

He had seen images of the Mother Zerg before, but every time he saw it, he was deeply awestruck.

This terrifying, colossal creature from another dimension was their most formidable enemy.

Even Utaima, a member of the Gader Advanced Civilization, showed such a significant change in expression upon seeing the Mother Zerg, let alone others who had never seen it before.

But there was no time for shock now.

Scott's cool voice spread once more.

"Target sighted. Main assault team, prepare to engage. Attack coordinates: XX, XXX, XXX."

"Yes!"

Scott's attack command snapped everyone back to attention.

They were no rookies, and they quickly composed themselves as their expressions turned serious.

The main assault fleet's battleships all adjusted their cannons.

The Gader Advanced Civilization's cloaking devices were incredibly effective.

After entering the asteroid belt, the Mother Zerg's attention was entirely focused on the asteroids. It couldn't see or even imagine that ambushers were hidden behind the asteroid belt.

Normally, encountering such a dangerous asteroid belt, most would choose to avoid it. However, the Mother Zerg's size was simply too massive that made it difficult to bypass the belt. Moreover, given the Mother Zerg's nature, it wouldn't avoid it anyway.

Additionally, the chaotic energy within the asteroid belt might affect the Zerg, but to the Mother Zerg, it was a delicious snack.

So, preoccupied with its feast, the Mother Zerg devoured its way through the asteroid belt. But before it could even digest the chaotic energy it had just absorbed, Scott's attack came.

Powerful cannon fire suddenly erupted in the empty void of space!

And the Mother Zerg had no time to react, especially since it had just finished a round of feeding as the energy it had consumed was still stored in a sac beneath its mouthparts.

Scott's calculations were precise.

The attack coordinates were exactly where this sac that was filled with chaotic energy was located.

This spot had been identified by all the cosmic biologists of the Gader Advanced Civilization as a potential weak point of the Mother Zerg because the energy fluctuations here were often unstable.

While the scholars didn't know it was the sac where the Mother Zerg stored the energy it consumed, they were certain there was something significant about it.

This was why Scott had decided to target this area with the first shot.

It must be said that Rocard's sarcasm was spot on—our Marshal is undoubtedly the illegitimate child of the Goddess of Fortune.

At this opportune moment, the Mother Zerg that were suddenly under attack, was indeed severely injured.

"Screech!" A sharp scream accompanied by the explosions of artillery fire reached everyone's ears.

This time, the Mother Zerg felt genuine, searing pain.

Not only was it hit by energy cannons, but the destruction of its sacs caused the chaotic energy stored within to trigger a chain reaction under the bombardment.

The explosion's power was amplified and proved once again how incredibly lucky Scott was.

The joint team didn't know the details, but seeing the Mother Zerg heavily wounded by their first attack, their initial tension turned into excitement and exhilaration.

At the same time, they grew more confident that this massive monster was not invincible.

Look, their first strike was a resounding success.

This boosted everyone's confidence in the ambush operation against the Mother Zerg.

"Disengage cloaking! Team One, coordinates XXX, XXX, XX; Team Two, coordinates XX, XXX, XX; Team Three, coordinates XXX, XXX, XXX. Support groups, stick to your assigned teams. Move out!"

Scott's calm and composed voice once again reached everyone's ears with his steady tone slightly cooling the excitement.

The battle wasn't over yet.

Celebrations would come after they killed the Mother Zerg!

"Yes!"

The battle finally began.

The Mother Zerg, now under attack, finally saw the ants daring to strike it.

To be honest, Scott's fleet, if compared to the Mother Zerg's colossal size, didn't seem like much.

However, Scott's fleet exemplified the martial arts adage: "An inch longer, an inch stronger; an inch shorter, an inch deadlier."

Despite their small size, the soldiers piloting the ships were highly skilled.

To the Mother Zerg, these ships were like elusive flies.

Although only the first attack had injured it, the subsequent attacks felt like mere irritations, yet they were still incredibly annoying.

"Chirp!"

The change in the Mother Zerg's cry was first noticed by Wu Zimo. Although Scott was in command of the battle, Wu Zimo was far from idle.

While Scott directed the battle, Wu Zimo not only monitored Scott's spiritual state but also swiftly translated the signals collected from the Zerg and relaying the information to Scott to ensure clearer command of the joint forces.

Thus, in the face of such a formidable enemy as the Mother Zerg, the joint forces suffered minimal casualties, all thanks to the seamless cooperation between Scott and Wu Zimo.

"Scott, the Mother Zerg is about to unleash its ultimate attack!"

"All units, activate maximum defense and evade!"

"Yes!"

While others didn't know what the Mother Zerg's ultimate attack entailed, they weren't fools.

The moment Scott issued the order, all ships activated their strongest defenses.

At this moment, everyone showcased their skills.

Wu Zimo had no time to monitor other ships as the Federation's fleet quickly regrouped before jointly activating the defense shield system Wu Zimo had programmed.

A hundred and one warships were enveloped by an energy wall.

Due to the program written by Wu Zimo, there was a mysterious connection between them.

Originally, each warship had its own energy wall, but now the small energy fields merged into a large one and protected all the warships within.

Scott was well aware of this change, and it was precisely why he had all the Federation warships gather together. Not only could they look out for each other, but the combined energy of all the warships created a large defensive shield, whose strength was twice that of the smaller ones.

Bokal, on another warship, looked at the energy shield protecting them like an eggshell and suddenly muttered, "Does Wu Zimo have a particular fondness for eggs?"

His Quantum Beast was an egg, and the super-strong defensive shield he created also resembled an egg.
