The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)
The night was adorned with dazzling starlight, as men and women dressed in luxurious gowns held wine glasses while chatting and laughing.
The golden lights illuminated the path paved with pale-colored flooring, while the velvety dark night sky above reflected in the pool, as if countless stars had fallen and intertwined with the lights of the banquet.
Yue Chu sat idly on a white chair with a graceful smile on his lips, but his gaze lingered in the void while occasionally waving off those who approached to strike up a conversation.
As for why he was here, one would have to ask his empty wallet.
Having been detached from normal society for too long, he had completely forgotten that money was necessary for a normal life.
Thus, penniless, he could only resort to small tricks to get by, mingling and feasting wherever he could.
Yuan peeked out from the pocket because he was curious about the human banquet he was experiencing for the first time.
Humans are truly boring creatures, with their hypocritical smiles, so ugly it’s nauseating.
It’s a wonder they can keep smiling to maintain superficial harmony.
Still, Yue Chu’s smile was beautiful that made him uninterested in looking at anyone else.
Bored, he retreated back into Yue Chu’s warm pocket before adjusting his position to lie comfortably.
Such a dull place, he wondered why Yue Chu liked coming here.
Just then, a man in a straight suit walked over.
He was somewhat handsome, with chocolate-colored eyes filled with deep affection, and a strong, robust figure that made him the center of attention.
This man was the host of the banquet—Hu Yixiu from the Hu family.
Hu Yixiu had noticed this unfamiliar beauty from the start.
To be honest, with his wealth, he had seen many pretty faces, but someone like Yue Chu, a top-tier beauty, was rare.
Moreover, this person not only had an exquisite appearance but also an extraordinary aura.
The faint, uplifting smile in his eyes almost struck Hu Yixiu’s heart, making him feel a long-lost excitement.
However, he wasn’t a fool.
Before pursuing, he naturally wanted to check Yue Chu’s background. Yet, no matter how much he searched, it was all blank that left him quite puzzled.
Logically, he shouldn’t approach Yue Chu without confirmation, but this person was simply too captivating, and he couldn’t resist coming to test the waters.
“Hello, welcome to my banquet. How are you enjoying it?”
He spoke in a friendly manner that made people instinctively lower their guard.
This was also the key to Hu Yixiu’s success, as a charming, wealthy, and handsome man showing affection always made hearts flutter.
Yue Chu paused his fingers before lifting his eyelids to look at him with his smile unchanged, though a sense of boredom flashed in his heart.
He had seen many like Hu Yixiu before. Those eyes, seemingly clear, actually hid filth. And upon closer inspection, one could see the disgusting mire churning within that emitting a foul stench.
Yue Chu had no interest in dealing with him; he just wanted to quietly enjoy some food and drinks before leaving.
He nodded with a light laugh, “Hello, it’s quite nice, thank you.”
Though his smile was warm, his stance of refusal was clear, like the bright moonlight in the sky, which would never illuminate the dark ditches.
Hu Yixiu’s expression shifted slightly, not with anger but with excitement.
Things that come too easily are always dull; the more unattainable a beauty like Yue Chu seemed, the more it itched at his heart.
A determined glint flashed in his eyes as he immediately had someone bring another bottle of red wine before pouring it into a crystal-clear goblet and handing it to Yue Chu.
Hu Yixiu: "Meeting by chance is fate. I wonder if Mr. Yue would be interested in sharing a drink with me?"
Though phrased as a question, the underlying threat in his words was unmistakable.
Yue Chu sighed helplessly, though not only did he refuse to take the glass but also slip his hand into his pocket.
There was no other way; if this continued, Little Ball would explode, and it wouldn’t be good to make the scene too ugly.
Moreover...
Yue Chu glanced at the fiery tentacle already hovering diagonally above Hu Yixiu’s head and gently squeezed Little Ball and signalled him to tone it down.
With so many people around, if they were discovered, it would make headlines tomorrow.
Yuan was unwilling to back down as he wished he could tear this audacious man to pieces.
The red light within him swelled continuously as his violent intentions boiled over.
These damned humans were always pushing his limits again and again.
But Yue Chu’s soft fingers kept soothing him, making it impossible for him to unleash his fury.
The Bora Star People had only one true love in their lifetime, and obeying their partner was a decree etched into their genes. It was also the reason that forced him to stand down and silently withdraw the Energy Flame.
There was no other way; finding a partner was too difficult for the Bora Star People.
On Bora Star, anyone who found their true love would undoubtedly be recorded in the annals of history as a glorious event.
Yue Chu stood up calmly: "What if I’m not interested?"
Hu Yixiu smiled arrogantly as the pretense of civility instantly stripped away. With a slight movement of his fingers, the bodyguards flanking him immediately surrounded Yue Chu.
Hu Yixiu leaned back leisurely in his chair: "I don’t particularly like forcing people, but if someone doesn’t listen, then teaching them a lesson is only natural."
Yue Chu laughed but showed no fear even as he was surrounded.
His fingers danced over Little Ball like playing a piano while feeling somewhat tempted by the provocation.
It had been exhausting to pretend in the lab every day, so finally being able to relax a bit was a welcome change.
Yuan, however, was thoroughly unsettled by Yue Chu’s actions, leaving no room to care about outsiders. He stiffened as he was caught between pleasure and torment as he let Yue Chu manipulate him as he pleased.
Yue Chu gently smoothed his wind-tousled hair, with his fair and delicate face glowing under the golden light, every inch of his skin as smooth and fine as porcelain, making one yearn to touch and feel it.
The corners of his eyes lifted slightly with his smile like flowing starlight that radiating a dazzling beauty akin to a sky full of stars.
Raising his hand, Yue Chu agreed.
With a smile on his lips, he said: "Fine, but there are too many people here. I don’t like it. How about we go somewhere more suitable?"
Hu Yixiu’s eyes lit up, and he greedily licked his lips.
Though a beauty too easily obtained wasn’t as thrilling, the thought of the feast to come filled him with anticipation.
He didn’t care about the banquet anymore and directly took Yue Chu to a seaside villa.
As soon as Yue Chu stepped inside, he narrowed his eyes because the house before him was far worse than he had imagined.
The grand hall, adorned in gold, was carpeted with thick red rugs. However, the carpets seemed unclean as it was stained with dried dark red bloodstains. The stench of blood mingled with the cloying incense in the room that evoke a nauseating sensation.
On the tables and walls hung various sinister instruments, exuding an aura that sent chills down one's spine.
Hu Yixiu had finally reached his paradise and was unable to contain his true nature. He spread his arms wide while grinning maniacally at Yue Chu, and declared loudly, "Welcome to my kingdom."
How foolish.
This was perhaps the only two-word evaluation Yue Chu could offer.
Hu Yixiu comfortably reclined on the sofa while a naked young man, crawling on all fours,
cautiously nuzzled against his leg and let out a couple of barks.
Hu Yixiu affectionately patted the young man's head while smiling at Yue Chu, "This is my beloved dog—Cotton Candy. Isn't he adorable?"
Yue Chu remained noncommittal and showed none of the fear or trepidation Hu Yixiu had hoped for.
The young man's body was covered in scars—gruesome burns and whip marks marred his pale skin, and his lower body was in a horrifying state, making it impossible to imagine how he endured such pain and humiliation.
Yet, here he was, kneeling at Hu Yixiu's feet and abandoning all dignity to beg like a dog.
Yue Chu sat leisurely across from Hu Yixiu with legs crossed and a smile playing on his lips, "Is this all? I thought you were a man of taste."
His smile was enigmatic, as the depth of his words only fueled Hu Yixiu's excitement.
Hu Yixiu kicked the young man to the ground while breathing heavily. His handsome face twisted with excitement and shedding the veneer of civilization to reveal his savage nature.
"Of course, there's more! This is just the only one who survived. The rest of the trash has been disposed of."
Hearing this, the young man trembled as a flicker of despair in his dull eyes, which quickly extinguished.
He had initially worried that the gentle-looking man before him might suffer, but now it seemed they were cut from the same cloth.
Yue Chu chuckled lightly while tapping his cheek with a finger and his voice as clear as water, "Indeed, trash should be disposed of."
He stood up before picking up a spiked whip from the wall, and turned leisurely to look at Hu Yixiu with his gentle eyes curving into crescents.
The long black whip seemed incongruous with him, yet it obeyed his every command like a tamed beast.
Hu Yixiu paused as he sensed something amiss, but it was already too late to escape.
.......
Research Institute
A loud bang echoed.
"When is he coming back?!"
Mu You gritted his teeth as his once clear black eyes now completely suffused with a red glow that revealed a sinister ferocity that clashed with his innocent face.
He couldn't believe that after learning of Yue Chu's departure, these people could still sit here calmly instead of rushing to bring him back.
Lan Yao glanced at him indifferently as he disliked Mu You's frantic demeanor and found it utterly disgraceful.
"What's the rush? Let him enjoy himself for a couple of days. It's the least we can do."
Mu You paced back and forth, his once chubby face now crisscrossed with blood vessels resembling centipedes that writhing slowly and mirroring his burgeoning rage.
How could he not be anxious!
A single day without Yue Chu felt like a fish lying under the scorching sun and struggling to even breathe.
He craved the warmth of Yue Chu's presence and loved the way his eyes brimmed with laughter when they looked at him.
That was his cradle, his true belonging!
And now, his Yue Chu is gone.
Separated by thousands of kilometers, he couldn’t see, smell, or touch him.
His gaze turned icy as he swept it over Lan Yao, with all traces of previous respect and obedience gone: "Yue Chu never liked the Research Institute. Now that he’s back in the human world, how could he possibly be willing to return?"
At this, a sneer curled his lips: "Did you think he’d like that pathetic garden you built? Don’t be foolish. With the real world out there, who would want to stay in this fake, useless substitute?"
Lan Yao’s expression darkened as his frosty eyes crackled with suppressed electricity and silently warned Mu You.
But Mu You wasn’t afraid of him.
Before, he had merely played the part of a compliant host as per their agreement. Lan Yao couldn’t possibly believe he was truly superior to standing above them all.
Just the thought of Yue Chu mistakenly believing he liked Lan Yi made Mu You nauseous.
The only upside of this body was that it allowed him to target Jiang Quan, that defective product, but unfortunately, he hadn’t had much time to deal with that waste before he became preoccupied.
It was a pity, really.
Compared to Jiang Quan, Yue Chu was naturally far more important.
Lan Yao tapped his fingers as the translucent jade ring on his hand glinted coldly.
"Yuan said Yue Chu is very happy and wants to let him relax for a few more days."
Ha? Mu You let out a cold laugh, feeling as though he’d just heard a joke.
His gaze swept over the faces of those present with his words dripping with temptation, like the whispers of Satan that stirred the hearts of those who listened.
"We are influenced by the original, but the original is not influenced by us. He can reach Yue Chu through all of us and share our senses, yet we cannot touch Yue Chu through him in the slightest."
A deep jealousy flashed in Mu You’s eyes as his heart felt as though it were being gnawed by a thousand tiny snakes with the pain unbearable.
"Are you all willing to let that fool be alone with Yue Chu?"
Mu You raised his chin while watching with mockery as the others’ expressions changed. Only then did he leisurely continue: "You might be able to, but I can’t. I need to ensure that Yue Chu is at least within my protection, that every inch of his body and every strand of his emotions has a part of me in it."
