Chapter 52: Oh, He Has a Cat?

Hello, Welcome to Merit Supermarket (SUPERMARKET)

"Sir! Something terrible has happened!"

When the Captain hurriedly found the Ship Owner, he was immediately startled by the horrific scene upon entering the banquet hall.

The sudden and eerie wind at sea had caught everyone off guard.

In the banquet hall, beautiful glass wine glasses and champagne, along with the dazzling crystal chandeliers above, all fell to the ground as the ship violently rocked.

The socialites and wealthy merchants at the banquet lay on the shards of glass, with sharp fragments cutting deeply into their skin.

Some were even more unfortunate, falling face-first onto the glass shards, so now they were clutching their eyes and wailing in pain.

Before the Ship Owner could regain his composure, an even more tragic situation unfolded.

Everyone—whether from the previous ship or the current one—had a golden thread appear around their necks.

These threads were slowly tightening, constricting their throats, and the intense suffocation made them disregard the glass shards as they rolled on the ground in agony.

Soon, the Ship Owner could no longer worry about others, as an identical thread appeared around his own neck.

He tried to pull the thread off, but when his fingers touched his neck, he realized the thread seemed intangible!

Where did this thing come from?!

The Perfumer immediately suspected it was the work of the Black-robed man and quickly reached out to the other Celestial Masters for help.

However, the three Celestial Masters he sought help from were in even greater distress.

Celestial Masters are far more sensitive to power than ordinary people, so they immediately recognized this as the backlash of karma. At the same time, the Karmic Sin within them erupted.

The dual torment made their suffering unbearable.

Though they appeared unharmed on the surface, their insides were as chaotic as a fireworks display.

One explosion after another erupted within them.

Their eyes were soon covered in blood and their vision turned crimson.

Seeing this, the Perfumer and the Ship Owner knew that the one who had targeted them must also be a Celestial Master.

"It's him! It must be him! The Black-robed..." The Perfumer's face turned purple as he tried to use his only Magical Artifact to resist the strange thread around his neck.

But as he grasped the jade, it instantly crumbled into powder.

While they were all "enjoying" the retribution of karma, a few people in the workshop were frantically trying to break the glass jar behind them to free the man inside.

However, the jar seemed specially made, as ordinary heavy objects had no effect on it.

Finally, with no other option, Jiang Chenyi traded with the Supermarket for a gun.

"One bullet costs 300 Merit Points... I'm really taking a huge loss this time." he muttered, but his actions showed no hesitation.

"Step aside!" he shouted while fighting off his dizziness.

His mental energy hadn't fully recovered yet, and if he accidentally misfired and hit someone... he couldn't be blamed!

Huo Yunxi and Ah Yao instantly leaped away from the spot, and with a gunshot, the specially made bullet pierced through the glass jar.

Cracks instantly spread across the entire jar, and with a crash, the liquid inside poured out.

The thick, sweet, and metallic smell filled the workshop, making Ah Yao feel nauseous.

Fortunately, Huo Yunxi wasn't too affected. He quickly pulled the person inside up from the pile of shattered fragments.

He hoisted the person onto his shoulder, rinsed off the residual liquid with water from the outer laboratory, and then draped a researcher's long coat over them.

But as he was putting the coat on, Huo Yunxi noticed that half of the person's bones were missing!

To be precise, almost all the bones in their lower body were gone.

Seeing Huo Yunxi frozen in shock, the person showed no sign of sadness. Instead, they patted his hand to comfort him.

[It's alright.]

Unfortunately, Huo Yunxi couldn't hear their thoughts.

Huo Yunxi's emotions were complex and mixed with a sense of anger.

He didn't know what this person had been through, but since the Supermarket was willing to make a deal with them, it meant they had enough Merit, and their character must be good.

But why should a good person endure such suffering?

He pushed the person out of the basement in a wheelchair, with Jiang Chenyi following behind and supported by Ah Yao.

The person didn't know why he was being brought out here, but as they left the dimly lit workshop and saw the sunlight, sky, and ocean he hadn't seen in so long, his empty eyes slowly welled up with tears.

"I told you, even if you want to die, I'll try my best to ensure you have no regrets before you go." Jiang Chenyi's voice rang out behind them.

Not only was it a world they hadn't seen in a long time, but the surprise Jiang Chenyi had prepared was also unfolding at that moment.

"Do you hear it?" Jiang Chenyi stumbled to the side of the wheelchair and gently tilted the man's face so his ear faced the direction of the large cruise ship.

From the luxurious cruise ship in front of them, cries for help and wails of agony continuously echoed. They could even see some people that were unable to bear the pain, leap from the upper decks and plunge into the sea.

Even Ah Yao, who had been a police officer for several years, felt a chill run down his spine upon hearing these cries.

He finally realized that the young man before him was no ordinary person.

He was friendly to the police, friendly to good people, but that didn't mean his temper was truly mild.

Even though he couldn't feel the pain those people were experiencing, seeing that some would rather die made him realize that this kind of suffering was beyond what most could endure.

Jiang Chenyi heard Ah Yao's thoughts and chuckled. He turned to look at Ah Yao and said, "But the sins they've committed are also beyond what most could do."

"What, brave enough to commit evil but not brave enough to face the consequences?"

Those who do evil and harm others should be prepared for the day when retribution comes!

Huo Yunxi nodded vigorously beside them. "The backlash is painful, but who told them to commit such atrocities in the first place?"

Ah Yao scratched his nose while awkwardly explaining, "I wasn't sympathizing with them..."

"I know what you're thinking." Jiang Chenyi said before shifting his gaze away from Ah Yao and back to the cruise ship.

"You're just afraid my methods might be used on others, but that's impossible. I'm merely tying the karmic noose around their necks. The reason they're suffering so much is because of the magnitude of their sins."

For ordinary people, even if he tied the same noose around them, they might not necessarily face such retribution.

Ah Yao scratched his head and fell completely silent, but inwardly, he felt a sense of relief because of Jiang Chenyi's words.

The wind continued to howl as they drew closer to the international waters.

More and more people were jumping off the opposite cruise ship, though some who jumped didn’t die but instead suffered even more.

For such people, Jiang Chenyi naturally wouldn’t let them escape successfully.

After the cruise ship had sailed for some time, those who had fallen into the sea but hadn’t died suddenly felt a powerful pulling force and dragged them forward through the water.

No matter how they struggled and even diving underwater to try to escape, the force remained unrelenting.

Unless, of course, they chose to give up and drown in the vast ocean.

Coincidentally, He Lianhua, who had been waiting for a long time, finally received the final order: "Take in everyone from both ships and investigate the situation thoroughly."

"Both ships?"

‘Wasn’t it supposed to be just one ship?’

As soon as the words were spoken, a soldier rushed in to report: "Sir, two cruise ships have been spotted ahead that were heading toward the Sea Boundary Line."

‘Huh, there really were two ships!’

However, when the two ships came into view, they realized it wasn’t two ships at all—it was more like one and a half!

As the one-and-a-half ships approached, they also saw people on board occasionally jumping into the sea.

But once they actually fell into the water, they swam desperately behind the cruise ship… Gradually, a row of small black dots appeared behind the ship.

Seeing this bizarre scene, the soldier put down his binoculars and rubbed his eyes hard, momentarily doubting whether he was hallucinating.

He Lianhua snatched the binoculars from him and looked over before falling silent as well.

What was even more unsettling was that they could clearly see strong winds blowing around the cruise ship and hear the howling of the wind.

Yet, on their own ship, it was calm and peaceful… as if they were in two completely different worlds.

Although He Lianhua had mentally prepared himself, he was still startled by Jiang Chenyi's methods.

He could summon the wind, but could he also call the rain?

As they approached the Sea Boundary Line again, the people on both ships naturally spotted the large vessels in the distance, especially the largest one with the characters "S556" engraved on its hull.

"It's over… ah! It's over! Ah…" These people desperately scratched at the Golden Threads around their necks while crying out in despair.

S556—wasn’t that a ship from the Huacheng Nation’s military? Did they really have any chance of survival left?

The mysterious threads around their necks hadn’t been dealt with yet, and now they were about to face judgment from the Huacheng Nation’s military.

The Ship Owner’s eyes were bloodshot, and he could barely speak at this point because the Golden Thread around his neck was almost strangling him.

But death would have been a mercy.

Instead, the Golden Thread would always loosen just before it killed him, allowing him to catch his breath before tightening again.

Not everyone on the ship had Golden Threads, but even those who didn’t feel suffocated were in extreme discomfort.

The Lotus Pattern targeted those who used perfume, but the Abacus Beads were aimed at all those with excessive Karmic Sin.

The few who were completely unaffected were the lowest-status people on the ship—cooks, cleaners, and the victims locked in the innermost areas.

Just as they were about to cross the Sea Boundary Line, Jiang Chenyi and Huo Yunxi simultaneously sensed something unusual in the wind.

Something was rapidly approaching!

A cannonball, fired from the direction of international waters, was heading straight toward Jiang Chenyi.

Huo Yunxi’s pupils constricted sharply, and he quickly moved to shield Jiang Chenyi, but in the next moment, Jiang Chenyi pulled him behind himself.

"Supermarket! Trade!"

The cannonball was moving incredibly fast, and with everyone relaxing as they thought they had returned to Huacheng Nation’s waters, no one noticed the ship that had suddenly appeared in the thick fog in the distance.

By the time Huo Yunxi tried to block it, it was already too late.

The cannonball landed directly on the cruise ship, which was now just a shell of its former self. In an instant, flames erupted, and the entire ship shook violently.

At the moment the cannonball struck, Ah Yao instinctively wrapped his arms around the man in the wheelchair, shielding him with his own body.

The duty of a police officer was deeply ingrained in his bones, and this act of saving someone was entirely instinctive.

Seeing a cannonball hit Jiang Chenyi’s ship, He Lianhua and the soldiers beside him, who had been eagerly waiting to take over the cruise ship, were utterly stunned.

‘Who the hell dared to attack their waters!’

As another cannonball came flying, attempting to strike the other ship, He Lianhua’s vessel automatically intercepted it.

"Where did that cannonball come from!" He Lianhua stared in disbelief at the wrecked cruise ship that had been successfully hit.

When they tried to locate the source of the cannonball, they found nothing and only traces of a ship that had been nearby on the radar.

He Lianhua was furious, but the most urgent matter now wasn’t investigating that ship but… "Go and save them, now!"

‘Damn it! How dare that bastard attack Mr. Jiang!’

‘If it were Mr. Jiang... how would he explain this to others!’

All the coast guard ships and vessels sped up, arriving in a grand formation near the Sea Boundary Line. Along the way, ships from other countries actively gave way.

They also wanted to know what had happened with the artillery shell, but with the Chinese vessels present, no one wanted to approach, fearing that the guns might be turned on them.

When He Lianhua reached the two cruise ships, the smoke had gradually dissipated.

He immediately had his subordinates take over the other ship and the people following it, while he quickly brought the military doctor to Jiang Chenyi.

"Mr. Jiang! Mr. Jiang, are you alright?"

He hurried towards the deck and soon saw four people lying on the ground.

Huo Yunxi was holding Jiang Chenyi in his arms with his eyes filled with hatred and guilt. When he saw the military doctor behind He Lianhua, his eyes lit up: "Doctor! Doctor, come here quickly!"

The military doctor's heart tightened as he saw the young man with half of his body covered in blood.

He had the soldiers lift the man onto a stretcher while he checked the injuries on the young man's body.

At the same time, another team of doctors went to check on Ah Yao and the man.

When they successfully returned to the vessel, the military doctor brought both good news and news of uncertain nature.

"What do you mean by uncertain news? Just say it!" He Lianhua was almost at his wit's end.

Before he left, he had confidently promised Great Grandma He that he would bring Mr. Jiang back safely.

And now...

Oh my, he had never been this nervous even when fighting with those monkeys next door!

He Lianhua was visibly panicking. Seeing this, the military doctor didn't hesitate and stated his conclusion: "He has no external wounds, but I suspect he has severe internal injuries from the impact of the artillery shell, which is why he's vomiting so much blood."

So now he needed to check the internal condition, just in case...

At this moment, Huo Yunxi also came over with his eyes dark with a hint of blood-red, looking somewhat frightening.

"The artillery shell didn't directly hit him. Chenyi was... he was injured because he stood in front of us and took the brunt of the impact."

At the last moment, he knew Jiang Chenyi had made a deal with the Supermarket.

But because the situation was so urgent, he didn't have time to think too much, so the defensive item obtained from the deal wasn't very effective.

When the shell exploded, countless flames surged towards them, and Jiang Chenyi stood in front of everyone, using his body to block the impact.

Even with the power of the Supermarket...

Thinking of that scene, the blood-red in Huo Yunxi's eyes deepened.

He Lianhua pursed his lips, feeling uneasy as well.

He scratched his head and urged the military doctor to check immediately, saying that any medicine could be used as long as it could save him!

"I'll communicate with the shore now and have them prepare to take over."

As He Lianhua turned to leave, Huo Yunxi stopped him, his cold, wolf-like eyes staring at him: "Let me contact Gu Sheng. I need to know the location of the Black-robed man."

He was one hundred percent sure that this attack was orchestrated by the Black-robed man!

"That shell wasn't an ordinary one; it was specifically designed to target Celestial Masters." Huo Yunxi explained.

Being a Spirit, he could sense the unusual power emanating from the shell.

Hearing this, He Lianhua understood why the first shell hadn't triggered a response from the ship. It was likely due to this reason.

But... if that was the case...

He Lianhua was instantly consumed by worry.

If shells blessed by Celestial Masters could evade the ship's interception, what would happen if the enemy's shells were all enhanced by Celestial Masters? Wouldn't that render the ship useless?

His thoughts were quickly interrupted by Huo Yunxi: "Give me Gu Sheng's contact information!"

He Lianhua could sense that Huo Yunxi was on the verge of an outburst, so he had to set aside his concerns for now and lead the group to his room.

Meanwhile, Jiang Chenyi was in the Supermarket, having his internal organs nourished by Merit.

The military doctor's guess was correct—his internal organs were severely damaged. If he hadn't made a deal with the Supermarket earlier to secure a tool that kept him alive by a thread... he probably wouldn't have made it!

Fortunately, Jiang Chenyi not only had Merit but also Votive Power.

After learning of his injury, all twenty members of the He family, Liang Yuanan, Liang Yin, and even the police department silently prayed for his swift recovery.

Not to mention Huo Yunxi, who, upon discovering that Merit could protect people, was willing to exhaust himself completely.

With the support of Votive Power, Jiang Chenyi finally woke up on the third day after his injury.

He slowly opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw wasn't a person but a curled-up Black Cat.

Jiang Chenyi was still a bit disoriented. Seeing the Black Cat lying beside him, he wondered if he was back in his original body.

Until... "Thank goodness, you're finally awake!" Huo Yunxi, sitting on the other side, exclaimed with his eyes red with emotion.

His voice startled the Black Cat awake. Seeing Jiang Chenyi awake, the previously noisy cat instantly turned into a soft, affectionate creature, meowing and nuzzling his face.

It was as sweet and endearing as could be, completely unlike the fierce and wild demeanor it had shown during their first encounter.

Jiang Chenyi looked around before gradually regaining his awareness. He gently stroked the cat's soft fur while reaching out to Huo Yunxi.

The other man was momentarily stunned, then lowered his head.

The young man's hand gently ruffled his hair, his voice unusually soft: "I'm sorry for worrying you all."

Huo Yunxi shook his head with tears in his eyes: "It's my fault. I didn't protect you."

He was supposed to be the bodyguard, yet it was Jiang Chenyi who had protected him.

‘Huo Yunxi, you're really useless!’

He leaned over the hospital bed while tightly gripping Jiang Chenyi's hand: "I've watched my companions die one by one before. When I saw you collapse, I was truly terrified."

Huo Yunxi's hand trembled slightly, but he held onto Jiang Chenyi's hand firmly, unwilling to let go. It was clear that deep down, he was genuinely afraid.

This era was unfamiliar to him.

And the only person connected to him was Jiang Chenyi, who had awakened his consciousness.

Perhaps it was imprinting, or perhaps it was shared ideals, but Jiang Chenyi was entirely different from everyone else to him.

Jiang Chenyi's eyes filled with guilt.

He hadn't realized that his actions had left such a deep shadow on Huo Yunxi.

"It won't happen again..." he promised sincerely.

During his coma, he had already been criticized 366 degrees by the supermarket, one degree more than the usual 365 degrees.

The 10,000 Merit Points protection item was still not enough. Next time, he would choose one worth five, six, seven, or eight hundred thousand Merit Points.

Preferably one with a rebound effect...

As Jiang Chenyi spoke, he fell into deep thought, though his hands remained busy—one petting the cat and the other caressing the man.

It wasn’t until the doctors entered that the harmonious scene of the two men and the cat was interrupted.

"Mr. Jiang, it’s good that you’re awake. Can you cooperate with us for a check-up now?"

Jiang Chenyi naturally wouldn’t refuse. But before leaving, he glanced at Huo Yunxi: "What about that man and the Perfumer?"

"One’s in the hospital, the other’s sitting in prison."

Jiang Chenyi nodded with his eyes gradually turning cold. "After the check-up, bring the Perfumer here. Oh, and Mr. Meng too."

His aura suddenly became intimidating, and the doctors pushing the hospital bed immediately felt the temperature around them drop.

When they first received this patient, they had been strongly urged by multiple parties to ensure he was fully healed without any lingering complications.

At first, they found the case quite challenging.

But during the subsequent treatment, they discovered that the young man had an extraordinary ability to heal himself, and his body absorbed the medication exceptionally well. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to wake up from the brink of death in just three days.

Especially after this check-up, when they saw the data displayed on the machines, they were all dumbfounded.

From the data, there was no trace of any serious injury!

Facing the strange looks from the doctors, Jiang Chenyi pretended not to notice.

When he returned to the ward, besides Huo Yunxi and the two people he wanted, Gu Sheng and Great Grandma He were also there, along with He Lianhua and two police officers.

"Little Jiang..." Gu Sheng’s face showed a hint of guilt, but Jiang Chenyi cut him off before he could continue.

"Old man, we’ll talk later. I need to deal with something urgent first."

His eyes locked onto the Perfumer, who had previously appeared as a high school boy but now looked like a middle-aged man.

This was the power of backlash.

The golden thread around his neck was still there. Even though he had been imprisoned, as long as Jiang Chenyi didn’t let go, he would continue to suffer the pain of karmic retribution.

As for when Jiang Chenyi would let go...

What a joke. Why would he let go?

Now that he had been brought here, the Perfumer’s mind was already half-mad.

Jiang Chenyi sat up from the hospital bed and, with Huo Yunxi’s support, slowly walked over to the Perfumer.

Although the Perfumer didn’t know who this young man was, as Jiang Chenyi approached, his body trembled even more violently.

When Jiang Chenyi was less than half a meter away, the Perfumer, despite being restrained by the two police officers behind him, began to struggle frantically.

Seeing this, Huo Yunxi stepped in and personally subdued him.

His method of subduing was to directly break the Perfumer’s limbs and pin him to the floor with a foot.

The Perfumer’s wails instantly echoed outside the ward, but no one in the room dared to speak.

"Supermarket, give me a box." Jiang Chenyi said, addressing everyone present.

Then, a beautiful mother-of-pearl inlaid box appeared out of thin air and landed in Jiang Chenyi’s hand.

The young man crouched down and gave Huo Yunxi a look. Understanding his intention, Huo Yunxi grabbed the Perfumer's hair and forced him to lift his head.

Next, everyone witnessed the pale and thin young man forcibly gouge out the Perfumer's eyeballs with his bare hands.

Then, as if disgusted by the filth, he washed them clean with water and solemnly placed them in a Mother-of-pearl Inlaid Box.

He handed the box to Gu Sheng: "Take this to the man I brought back."

"Tell him I’ve found his eyes."

After saying this, Jiang Chenyi lay back down on the hospital bed.

Great Grandma He personally wiped his hands while muttering with disdain, "Why did you have to do such a dirty job yourself? You could have just let Lianhua handle it. Why dirty your own hands?"

He Lianhua: ...

‘You’re really my dear Great Grandma!’

Jiang Chenyi lowered his head, pretending to be remorseful: "Yes, yes, I won’t do it myself next time."

Whether it was Huo Yunxi breaking the Perfumer’s limbs or Jiang Chenyi gouging out his eyes with his bare hands, the screams from the hospital room didn’t evoke the slightest sympathy from those present.

They all knew just how despicable this man was!

Especially He Lianhua.

When he saw the laboratory in the lower deck of this man’s ship, he almost lost his temper and wanted to tear him apart limb by limb.

If it weren’t for Huo Yunxi stopping him, saying that keeping him alive would maximize his suffering, he would have definitely done it.

‘As for the people from the other ship… haha, hahaha… they were all scum!’

Really, if it weren’t for wanting to get Jiang Chenyi to the hospital as soon as possible, he would have locked those people in a pitch-black room and let them tear at their own necks.

‘It would be best if they twisted their own necks and died, hahaha, that way they wouldn’t waste the country’s bullets.’

‘But it’s no different now. Except for Jiang Chenyi, no one can undo the restraints around their necks. Let them suffer until the moment of death!’

The thought of those people kneeling on the ground and begging to have the Golden Thread removed, made He Lianhua squint with satisfaction.

‘Serves them right!’

The Perfumer was taken away, and Gu Sheng left with the box.

Next up should be Mr. Meng.

Mr. Meng hadn’t had an easy time these past few days. Who would have thought that his "Teacher" would abandon him and escape alone?

After Jiang Chenyi was severely injured by "Teacher" Mr. Meng was beaten by a group of people who had thrown a sack over him. If he hadn’t turned himself in beforehand, he might have ended up in the same situation as the Perfumer.

Fortunately, Jiang Chenyi didn’t do anything to Mr. Meng.

He had initially thought that Mr. Meng had tipped off the Black-robed man, which led to the subsequent cannon fire.

But now it seemed that Mr. Meng’s aura had become much purer.

It wasn’t him.

"Let him go. He wasn’t the one who tipped them off." Jiang Chenyi waved his hand, and Mr. Meng instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

After Mr. Meng left, Huo Yunxi spoke up: "The one who’s connected to the Black-robed man should be Wen Ai, the experienced hand who led us on the delivery."

He had mentioned this to He Lianhua before, and after settling Jiang Chenyi, he personally went to search the other ship, where he happened to see the man in a pitiful state, like a drowned dog.

“He tried to escape earlier, but who would have thought that your sudden gust of wind would blow him back?" And then he was completely unable to run.

He sat by Jiang Chenyi’s bedside, handed him a cup of warm water, and then began to recount in detail the events of the past few days.

While Jiang Chenyi and Huo Yunxi personally pursued the lead on the Perfumer, Gu Sheng and the others were not idle either.

Upon learning that a malicious Celestial Master had appeared in the capital, Gu Sheng mobilized all the reliable Celestial Masters from the association to begin a thorough search.

The Black Cat, having previously encountered the Black-robed man as a Spirit, played a crucial role in this investigation.

The Black Cat was particularly vengeful, especially when it came to being deceived about its master.

Thus, it personally tracked down the location of the Black-robed man. Once it found his residence, it led Gu Sheng to the man's hideout.

"Just now, the Old man wanted to tell you about this. They severely injured the Black-robed man. The Black Cat clawed his face fiercely and managed to tear off his Black Robe."

But beneath the robe was an extremely hideous face, as if melted like a candle.

"A candle?" Jiang Chenyi quickly reacted, "Burn marks?"

"Exactly. It seems his entire body was burned. Even with the Perfumer's fragrance, the traces on him couldn't be concealed. So, I suspect the fire that burned him was no ordinary fire." Gu Sheng returned.

"But unfortunately, we didn't capture him. He used a Sacrifice method to transport himself away from this land."

As a result, everyone around the black-robed man had died violently, and the man himself must have been seriously injured.

The shell that attacked Jiang Chenyi was likely the last of his strength.

Since Jiang Chenyi didn’t die, the man would definitely suffer severe backlash and probably wouldn’t be able to act for the next few years.

Previously, He Lianhua had also asked Jiang Chenyi about the shell empowered by the Celestial Master, but upon learning that it required a great cost, he felt much more at ease.

However, Gu Sheng’s face showed a hint of sadness. He forced a smile and relayed the man’s message to Jiang Chenyi: "He asked me to thank you. He’s very satisfied with everything now, and then… he wants you to send him on his way soon."

Hearing this, Jiang Chenyi and Huo Yunxi fell silent. Neither of them felt the joy of solving the case.

Not just that man, but also the victims on the two ships…

Even though they were rescued, anyone who had seen their tragic state wouldn’t feel happy about catching the perpetrator.

They shouldn’t have had to go through such things in the first place.

Seeing everyone’s silence, Great Grandma He stepped forward and placed the black cat into Jiang Chenyi’s arms.

"There’s one more thing. My brother said this black cat wants to follow you. What do you think?"

Huh?

The situation shifted too quickly, and Jiang Chenyi was momentarily stunned.

Feeling the black cat in his arms, he instinctively scratched the base of its tail, causing the cat to arch its back in pleasure.

"Meow meow meow~" More, more~

Jiang Chenyi was a bit confused.

‘How did he end up with a cat after waking up?’
