Online Dating Fiasco with the Campus Heartthrob (DATING)
Gu Zhao loosened his embrace but his large hand was still gripping Ji Su's and their fingers tightly interlocked as he led him toward the car.
Ji Su sat in the passenger seat with his long and thick eyelashes still adorned with teardrops and the corners of his eyes red, looking both pitiful and beautiful.
Gu Zhao leaned over to fasten his seatbelt, and then reached up to wipe away the tear stains beneath his eyes while whispering soothingly, "Don't cry, it hurts me to see you like this."
Ji Su sniffled, his voice carrying a hint of an adorable nasal tone: "I didn’t mean to cry, it’s all your fault… you made me so emotional."
When he had confronted Ji Zheng Hai in the study earlier, he had actually been quite calm, because he knew that even if he had cried and screamed, no one would have cared.
But Gu Zhao had come, and he no longer had to suppress his grievances. He could freely let his tears fall on his lover's shoulder.
Gu Zhao cupped that beautiful tear-streaked face and asked with a smile, "So easily moved?"
"Yeah," Ji Su looked up at him, "When did you get here?"
"Just a little while ago," Gu Zhao replied, "You sent a message saying you’d stay here for dinner, so I drove over while thinking that I’d pick you up after you ate."
Ji Su's lips curved into a smile as his tears turned to laughter: "You came at just the right time."
Gu Zhao rubbed his nose against Ji Su's: "What happened? Do you want to tell me about it?"
Ji Su unfastened his seatbelt and leaned into his embrace before slowly recounting the whole story.
He spoke of his briefly happy childhood, of how he had drifted outside his parents' new families over the years, feeling out of place, and of how he had finally mustered the courage to leave the cage that was called home.
"I used to think that even if it was just a nominal home and family, I couldn’t let go so easily," Ji Su smiled self-deprecatingly, "But now I realize I’ve been deceiving myself all along."
Gu Zhao held him tightly and kissed his forehead before he solemnly promised, "Ji Su, we will have our own real home."
Ji Su looked up and said softly, "Gu Zhao, if I hadn’t met you, I might have just muddled through life like this forever."
Never be loved and never belong with them, like a rootless duckweed that forever adrifts.
But heaven had indeed favored him by bringing Gu Zhao to his side.
"There are no 'ifs,'" Gu Zhao gazed into those eyes that were made even clearer and brighter by tears, "Sooner or later, we were destined to be together."
Ji Su's gaze softened: "Really?"
Gu Zhao was silent for a moment, then asked, "Baby, do you really not remember me at all?"
"Huh?" Ji Su was slightly taken aback, "What do you mean?"
Gu Zhao gave an indescribable smile: "Actually, we’ve met before, a long time ago."
As their eyes met, in a flash, Ji Su suddenly remembered the unfamiliar little boy from his dream.
The gaze that had watched him in the dream miraculously overlapped with the pair of dark eyes looking at him now.
Ji Su exclaimed, "It was you…"
"Remembered me?" Gu Zhao's smile deepened at the corners of his lips. "You little heartless one, I haven't forgotten you for a single day."
"How could I..." Ji Su was caught in a whirlwind of incredulity. "Back then, were you locked in the basement of the house next door?"
He recalled that his grandmother had mentioned a child living next door, but he had never seen them because they hardly ever came out.
"Yes," Gu Zhao responded. "During that time, I could hear you playing the piano every day."
As a young boy, he thought to himself that the person playing the piano must be lonely too, otherwise why would they play the same piece every day?
But because it felt like someone was accompanying him, the darkness became a little more bearable.
"So..." Ji Su tried to make sense of the information he was receiving. "You like that piano piece because of me?"
"Because of you." Gu Zhao's expression softened. "Actually, fate has been kind to me; it brought you to my side from the very beginning."
Even though they missed each other for over a decade, they eventually found their way back to each other.
"When did you remember?" Ji Su's heart was a tumult of emotions. "Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?"
"Because I didn't want your pity." Gu Zhao kissed his lips before speaking against them. "I just want your love."
Without waiting for Ji Su to respond, his hot tongue parted Ji Su's lips and deepened the kiss.
After the kiss, Ji Su slumped in the chair while breathing heavily.
Gu Zhao licked the moisture from Ji Su's lips and chuckled softly, "Not good enough, we need more practice."
Ji Su glared at him with shimmering eyes, but it was utterly ineffective.
Gu Zhao's Adam's apple bobbed, and he couldn't resist leaning in for another passionate kiss.
Once Ji Su caught his breath, Gu Zhao helped him fasten his seatbelt again. "Let's go, we're heading home."
The black Audi slowly drove away from the villa area, leaving all the unpleasant past behind.
From then on, it was a new beginning.
………
Back at home, Ji Su couldn't help but let out a long sigh of relief.
Gu Zhao closed the door behind them. "Go rest in the room for a bit, I'll heat up the dishes."
Ji Su asked, "You haven't had dinner yet?"
"No, and I made some for you too." Gu Zhao pinched his cheek. "We'll eat together in a bit."
Ji Su nodded, "Alright."
Gu Zhao was quick; by the time he came out after putting things away, the dining table was already laden with dishes that were a feast for the senses.
Sweet and sour spare ribs, Braised Pig Trotters in Brown Sauce, Diced Chicken with Chili Peppers, Stir-fried Seasonal Vegetables, Tomato and Scrambled Egg with Beef, and a Winter Melon and Rib Soup—all his favorite dishes.
Ji Su pulled out a chair. "Isn't dinner a bit too lavish?"
Gu Zhao served him half a bowl of soup. "You haven't been eating well these past couple of days, let this satisfy your cravings first."
Ji Su took the soup and joked half-heartedly, "If you keep this up, you'll spoil my appetite."
"What's wrong with spoiling it?" Gu Zhao sat down opposite him and replied leisurely, "To win your heart, I must first win over your stomach."
Ji Su's ears turned slightly warm. "Who's your wife..."
"You are." Gu Zhao looked at him. "If you're not my wife, then where is my wife?"
Ji Su's ears turned increasingly red. "Anyway, you're not allowed to call me that."
He thought his tone was domineering, but in reality, it sounded more like he was being coquettish.
“Then what should I call you?” Gu Zhao asked with a teasing smile. “Should I call you ‘husband’?”
Ji Su blinked his lashes. “That could work.”
“Whose husband gets so weak in the knees from being kissed, huh?” Gu Zhao leaned in slightly and lowered his voice. “Whose husband moans like that in bed—”
“Gu Zhao!” Ji Su interrupted him, both embarrassed and annoyed. “If you keep this up, I’m really going to ignore you!”
“Alright, I’ll stop.” Gu Zhao straightened up, letting him off for now. “Let’s eat.”
After the two finished dinner together, Ji Su grabbed his change of clothes and went to take a shower first.
After his shower, he climbed onto Gu Zhao’s bed then sitting cross-legged as he replied to messages.
Gu Zhao walked into the bedroom before raising an eyebrow slightly. “Sleeping with me tonight?”
“Yeah,” Ji Su lifted his eyes. “Is that not allowed?”
“Allowed, of course it’s allowed.” Gu Zhao chuckled. “I’ll go take a shower too.”
When he came out of the bathroom, he saw Ji Su lying on his pillow with his eyes closed and already asleep.
Gu Zhao walked over before sitting on the edge of the bed, and reached out to touch the half-exposed face.
No matter how many times he had teased him, the person lying in bed still had no defenses against him.
Such wholehearted trust—how could he bear to betray it?
Gu Zhao withdrew his hand, leaning down to plant a kiss on the soft cheek. “Goodnight, Baby.”
He lay down on the bed before carefully turning Ji Su over and pulling him into his arms.
Half-asleep, Ji Su let out a soft murmur while nestling obediently into the familiar embrace.
Gu Zhao’s heart warmed as a slight itch spread through him, as if a kitten’s paw had gently scratched him.
He placed a kiss on Ji Su’s hair, closed his eyes, and drifted off into a deep sleep.
……..
Ji Su slept soundly and woke up refreshed the next morning.
He tilted his head up in Gu Zhao’s arms as his gaze landed on the sharp jawline.
After staring for a moment, Ji Su couldn’t help but raise a hand and use his fingertips to touch the faint stubble that had grown in.
The light layer of stubble felt slightly prickly, adding a touch of masculine allure to the handsome face.
Just as he was about to withdraw his hand, Gu Zhao suddenly opened his eyes and his large hand caught Ji Su’s.
His voice was hoarse from just waking up. “Sneaking a feel?”
“I wasn’t sneaking!” Ji Su retorted confidently. “You’re my boyfriend. I can touch you openly.”
“Oh,” Gu Zhao’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “In that case, feel away.”
With that, he guided Ji Su’s soft hand slowly downward.
Ji Su’s fingers curled from the heat as the warmth spread up from his fingertips. “You’re at it again…”
Gu Zhao ducked under the thin blanket before continuing to move downward.
Ji Su gasped. “Gu Zhao!”
“Mmm…” came a muffled response from under the covers, followed by the sound of something suspicious.
Ji Su’s fingers gripped the bedsheet tightly. One foot slipping out from under the blanket with his pale toes tensing and the veins on the back of his foot bulging.
Soon, a large hand emerged from the blanket that firmly grasped the slender ankle then slid up the long, straight calf…
After who knows how long, Gu Zhao finally emerged from under the blanket.
His bangs were damp and clinging to his forehead while his thin lips red from friction, and his dark eyes gleaming intensely.
Ji Su lay on the sheets and gasped for breath with his gaze unfocused. The flush on his face extended down to his neck and chest.
Gu Zhao leaned in to kiss his slightly parted lips and with a hoarse voice, he asked, "Baby, do you like it?"
Ji Su couldn't speak and only nodded in response.
Gu Zhao rubbed his nose against the soft flesh of Ji Su's cheek. "Then, Baby, can you give me a little reward?"
Without hesitation, Ji Su nodded again. "Yes..."
"Good, wait for me." Gu Zhao got up from the bed, opened the wardrobe, and pulled out a set of clothes before returning to the bedside.
Ji Su's gaze fell on the clothes in Gu Zhao's hands, and his hazy mind suddenly cleared a bit.
Gu Zhao was holding a Sailor Suit, but it looked nothing like the ones Ji Su had worn before.
The top had so little fabric that it was almost transparent, with only a lace bow barely covering anything.
The skirt was also much shorter than a normal Sailor Suit, and Ji Su even doubted it would cover his bottom when worn...
In addition, Gu Zhao also held a pair of Lace White Stockings and a Garter.
Ji Su's chest rose and fell twice as he whispered, "This isn't right..."
"What's not right?" Gu Zhao knelt on the bed with one knee. "Isn't this your favorite Sailor Suit to wear?"
Ji Su shook his head as his pale pink elbows propped him up on the bed as he scooted toward the headboard.
Gu Zhao put down the Sailor Suit before his large hand grabbed Ji Su's ankle and dragged him back. "You promised to give me a reward, so why are you running now?"
