Chapter 81: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 14

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

"Thank you for driving me back."

Yue Chu unbuckled his seatbelt and softly thanked Fang Tian: "It's a bit late today, so I won't invite you up. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future, and when that time comes, please don't be polite."

Fang Tian nodded with his expression calm as he watched Yue Chu get out of the car. Only after his figure disappeared did he suddenly slump back while clutching his chest as if he had a heart attack.

The consequence of being overly excited was accidentally leaving his body again. The once vibrant skin instantly returned to lifelessness and stiffly slid off the seat.

Afraid that Yue Chu, who hadn't gone far, might see, he quickly put his skin back on. The smile on his face was as if he were drunk, both dazed and foolish. His originally pitch-black eyes, like ink dots, now seemed to have been placed in a kaleidoscope, bursting with countless colors.

After a while, he slowly regained his composure and looked at his burned hand, his expression slightly cold.

Who dared to meddle behind his back?

He held the Yellow Talisman that was struggling and writhing while ignoring the burning pain, and crushed it bit by bit. A bone-chilling cold flashed in his deep eyes.

However, no matter who it was, they couldn't take Yue Chu away from him.

In the distance, Huang Song, who was eating barbecue, suddenly stood up while panicking and pressing the Peach Wood Sword at his waist, feeling a sense of unease in his chest.

The Yellow Talisman he had given Yue Chu had been destroyed. The powerful ghostly aura he felt in that moment made him tremble all over.

In the Taoist temple with curling smoke, a white-haired Taoist priest with an air of immortality also opened his eyes with a heavy expression. He looked at the portrait of the ancestral master hanging on the wall and piously lit incense.

A fierce ghost has emerged, and the world will not be at peace.

……….

At the Xie Family

Fang Wan invited a master from Zhenbao Mountain, but after careful inspection, the master shook his head at her, indicating that there were no ghosts in the house and that Xie Mingyu was not possessed by a ghost.

Fang Wan simply didn't believe it. If her son wasn't possessed by a ghost, how could he have done such a thing?

The master's eyes were filled with compassion as he gently shook his head: "Benefactor, the sea of suffering has no shore, turn back before it's too late. Don't deceive yourself."

But Fang Wan couldn't accept this explanation. She respectfully saw the master off, but her expression turned grim as she turned back.

Looking at her son, who was tied to the bed and looked neither human nor ghost, she felt a deep sorrow but quickly pulled herself together.

If the master couldn't save him, then she would find someone else.

Remembering the time she bumped into Yue Chu, Fang Wan had an idea.

"Hello, help me investigate someone..."

Yue Chu was tidying up when she heard a knock at the door and went to answer it.

"Xiao Xuan, are you done?"

Feng Xuan nodded with her face slightly flushed from exercise, and placed the takeout box she was carrying on the table.

"I bought it on the way, your favorite fried pork cutlet rice."

Yue Chu gently hugged the girl, his eyes filled with tenderness: "Thank you, Xiao Xuan, you're such a thoughtful little sweetheart."

Feng Xuan felt a bit shy and turned to get the utensils.

Yue Chu watched her petite figure bustling about with a glimmer in his eyes, and walked over to take the utensils from her hands to set the table.

"Go wash your hands and get two yogurts from the fridge. I'll take care of this."

Feng Xuan obediently nodded, but as she passed the desk, she accidentally saw the half-covered documents.

She was struck as if by lightning as she just stood there in a daze with her face pale as she looked at the information recorded in black and white, feeling as if she couldn't breathe.

Why is my brother investigating the Xie family? Could he discover something?

She clenched her fists tightly with her large eyes almost welling up with tears of blood. The hidden scars she had buried deep within seemed to be torn open by an invisible hand. The pain was so intense that she almost doubled over.

"Xiao Xuan?"

Seeing her frozen in place, Yue Chu walked over in confusion. When he noticed her staring at the documents on the table, he couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh.

He stood in front of Feng Xuan before tidying up the documents, his face showing a hint of disappointment. "I'm sorry you had to see this..."

Feng Xuan's lips trembled as she tried to ask something, but countless voices seemed stuck in her chest, rendering her speechless.

Yue Chu hesitated, then gently touched her cold cheek with his fingers, his voice filled with regret. "I'm sorry you had to see this side of me. If you can't accept it..."

At this point, Yue Chu took a deep breath as his face turned sorrowfully to the side, as if he couldn't bring himself to say the harsh words that needed to be spoken.

Feng Xuan was stunned.

‘What... what was he talking about?’

Yue Chu gazed at her with sorrowful eyes and gently brushed aside the stray hairs on her forehead. "I wish I could always be that pure and upright person in your heart, but I'm not... I'm not as good as you imagine."

Feng Xuan grew anxious as she quickly grabbed his hand and pleaded, "Brother, what are you saying? You are the best person!"

Yue Chu tried to force a smile, but bitterness suppressed it. He slowly withdrew his hand, avoided Feng Xuan's gaze, and shook his head heavily.

"I'm not. I hate those people, and I will never let them go."

Feng Xuan froze, and in a flash of realization, she understood something—her brother and the Xie family...

Yue Chu didn't hide it either as a hint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes. "I have a grudge against the Xie family, and I will do everything in my power to take revenge on them."

Feng Xuan's heart jolted, and for a moment, she didn't know how to react. After the initial numbness, a wave of wild joy surged through her. If her brother shared the same goal as her…

Yue Chu sadly held her hand, his gaze as desolate as a field turned yellow by the cold autumn wind. "I'm sorry to disappoint you."

‘How could that be!’

Feng Xuan immediately threw herself into his arms and clutched the back of his shirt tightly with her eyes moist with excitement and joy.

She wasn't disappointed—she was just... too happy.

She looked up at Yue Chu and said firmly, "There's no need to apologize. Your matters are my matters. I will help you."

Yue Chu's eyes brightened slightly, as if hesitating to ask: Really?

Feng Xuan nodded with a radiant smile, feeling as if the entire world had lit up.

Yue Chu smiled before pulling her into a tight embrace, murmuring, "That's great..."

‘That's great. I've finally found you—Xie Wei.’

After dinner, the two siblings were chatting when the intercom rang, announcing that someone was here to see them.

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow slightly before gently patting Feng Xuan's head, his tone meaningful. "The fish has taken the bait."

Feng Xuan's gaze paused before seemly understanding the implication in his words, and she felt her blood boiling with anticipation.

For years, she had been running around but never finding the opportunity to deal with the Xie family. Yet, with just one move from her brother, he had managed to stir Fang Wan's thoughts.

Yue Chu smiled at her. "Do you want to come with me?"

Feng Xuan nodded eagerly. She really wanted to see it—to watch that family fall into hell would probably be the best reward for her.

Yue Chu nodded leisurely. He held her hand as they descended the steps, his gaze falling upon Fang Wan, who sat poised on the sofa.

This noblewoman was as beautiful and dignified as ever, yet her haughty eyes failed to recognize the person standing beside Yue Chu as her own flesh and blood.

Even though she had come seeking help, Fang Wan's demeanor remained cold with her exquisitely carved face devoid of any emotion.

Yue Chu smiled as he sat across from her then carefully observed her features before a glimmer of understanding in his expression.

Fang Wan clutched her bag tightly.

In truth, she didn't believe this young man could see through everything like the master, but she was at her wit's end and naturally wanted to see what skills he possessed.

Yue Chu sighed and spoke first, "May I ask what brings you here today, Madam?"

Fang Wan pressed her crimson lips together. His question was almost rhetorical, but she suppressed her anger and replied with a somber expression, "Last time, the master gave me a hint. I made arrangements afterward, but nothing worked. I implore the master to guide me once more."

Yue Chu furrowed his brow, slightly puzzled, "Given your family's resources, the people you can hire must be of considerable skill. Why hasn't the issue been resolved?"

Fang Wan clenched her teeth.

What kind of solution was that? It would have her son turn himself in, on which, effectively ruining his future.

She feigned sorrow before shaking her head and dabbing her face with a delicate handkerchief, "Indeed, it hasn't worked. I beg the master to save me."

Yue Chu savored her performance, finding it quite amusing.

He paused before speaking slowly, portraying his dilemma vividly, "I see a dark aura around you, indicating that there must be a malevolent presence in your home. However, to determine the extent, I would need to inspect the premises. Would that be convenient for you, Madam?"

Fang Wan hesitated.

If outsiders saw her son in that state...

Yue Chu's lips curled slightly, and he added with a concerned tone, "Such malevolent auras are often man-made. If left unchecked, it could drive one to madness."

Man-made?!

Fang Wan was momentarily stunned as her face darkened. In her panic over the past days, she had forgotten this possibility.

At this thought, she could no longer sit still and insisted that Yue Chu take a look.

That little wretch...

Yue Chu's expression turned serious.

Though he agreed verbally, he repeatedly declined, claiming his skills were insufficient and that he needed time to prepare properly.

After Fang Wan left, Yue Chu smiled softly, his gaze drifting leisurely toward Feng Xuan.

"Shall we go together tomorrow?"

The black mist in Feng Xuan's eyes danced wildly before gradually settling. She gave Yue Chu a twisted smile.

"Sure, I'm looking forward to it."

………..

The next day

The villa was quiet, with all the servants given a day off to facilitate Yue Chu's actions.

Yue Chu held a stack of cheap Yellow Talismans he had bought online for a dollar, moving through the rooms with an air of authority. Only when he reached Xie Mingyu's room did his expression harden, and he directly pasted a talisman at the center of the doorframe.

"It's here."

Fang Wan's expression softened, surprised that Yue Chu indeed had some skill.

She pushed open the door, revealing Xie Mingyu, bound and struggling on the bed, exposed to the eyes of Yue Chu and Feng Xuan.

Feng Xuan paused at the doorway. Her fingers dug into the doorframe but it seemed she was oblivious to the pain as she didn't react.

She kept her head deeply bowed, fearing that her twisted smile might betray the elation in her heart.

Yue Chu walked in slowly while examining Xie Mingyu's condition.

His face was pale and dull, and his pupils constricted. The once lively expression had turned into a lifeless, glassy stare. He had a towel clenched between his teeth, and drool dripped from his chin onto the pillow, staining the once snow-white fabric yellow.

It seemed he hadn’t bathed in a long time, as the stench of decay emanating from his body was unbearable, especially in the increasingly warm weather.

Yue Chu’s gaze hardened. He picked up some Cinnabar and gently dabbed it on Xie Mingyu’s forehead. Instantly, the man, who had been relatively calm, began thrashing violently like a fish out of water.

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow slightly, surprised that it actually worked.

Meanwhile, the Evil Spirits lurking silently outside the window were exerting themselves to manipulate the situation. They were speechless—after all their misdeeds, they never imagined they’d one day be forced into playing pranks under Fang Tian’s threats and bribes.

Yue Chu withdrew his hand and spoke gravely, “It seems there is someone behind this and manipulating things. May I ask where your son’s original room is? I need to investigate further.”

Fang Wan, seeing this, had no objections and immediately led him to Xie Mingyu’s room.

Without hesitation, Yue Chu took a pair of scissors and cut open the pillow. After rummaging through the snow-white stuffing, he pulled out a small figure dressed in a white robe, inscribed with a birth date, and with a poisoned silver needle stuck in its belly.

Strange.

He had intended to use an illusion to make Fang Wan see this, but how had it turned into a physical object? Could someone really be harming Xie Mingyu?

But it didn’t matter. Regardless of the process, as long as the result was the same, it was fine.

Fang Wan’s face turned deathly pale, and the hatred in her chest erupted like a volcano, unleashing a scorching lava that threatened to consume everything.

She was already convinced and looked at Yue Chu with pleading eyes, “Master, what should we do now?”

Yue Chu’s eyes flickered slightly as he replied calmly, “Of course, we must find the person behind this. Do you have any suspicions, Madam?”

Fang Wan’s expression turned icy.

Naturally, she would not let that treacherous mother and son get away with this.
