Chapter 83: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 16

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

Fang Wan stared at her son lying stiff as a corpse on the bed, while incessantly biting her nails. Her once smooth and pointed nails were now jagged and uneven, and she didn’t even notice her fingers bleeding.

Those despicable people had hidden themselves so well that she had searched everywhere without success. To make matters worse, that old fool Xie Zhou was protecting them, making it increasingly difficult for her to take action.

Fang Wan was unwilling to accept this. Why could that mother and son strut around proudly and keep climbing onto the Xie family's throne, while she and her son had to hide in the shadows and slowly be forgotten?

She hadn’t washed or dressed up for days, her hair disheveled and her complexion sallow. Like an enraged lioness, she paced back and forth with the malice in her eyes barely concealed, ready to overflow at any moment.

It was infuriating that the rigid Yue Chu refused to help, but it didn’t matter. A cold, steely determination flashed in Fang Wan’s eyes. As long as there was money, there would always be a way.

She sat back down by the bed before gently stroking her son’s cold forehead.

If it weren’t for that mother and son causing trouble, her son could have held on until the child was born. Then what would have been left for them?

Fang Wan rested her head on her son’s chest, her eyes filled with a desperate, all-or-nothing madness.

……..

Otherworld

"My lord, I have severely injured Xie Wei. He will enter the game in three days, and the chances of his survival are almost zero."

"Hmm..."

Fang Tian looked at the few photos in his hand, trying to decide which one to set as his desktop wallpaper and which one to use as his phone’s lock screen.

"However, Xie Wei is indeed sharp-minded and ruthless. Several times I almost fell victim to his counterattacks. Even if he can’t clear the game, we absolutely cannot let him live. My lord, what do you think?"

"Oh..."

‘The lighting in this photo isn’t bright enough; I need to adjust the brightness. And this group photo—I look so silly in it and it was completely mismatched with Yue Chu. I really want to photoshop myself out. My favorite is the one with the cake. Oh my, it’s so pure yet so alluring—it really hits the spot!’

Da Gui waited for a long time, only to receive such an ambiguous response. He couldn’t help but sneak a glance at Fang Tian’s expression, hoping to glean some insight.

But all he saw was a pitch-black door, with only the floating phone in front of him that was constantly flickering with light.

Da Gui was speechless: Is the phone really that interesting?

He sighed inwardly, feeling that things had been quite unsettled lately, and all this unease was brought about by his lord. It made it impossible for him to even complain.

He decided he would ask Da Xiao Long Brothers later to find out what was going on with his lord. Why was he becoming lazier by the day, now even neglecting the most basic duties? It wasn’t as if he didn’t know that his lord hadn’t mentioned inspections for a long time.

"My lord, if there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave?"

Da Gui deliberately raised his voice to try to regain Fang Tian’s attention, but all he got was an impatient "Hmm."

In the end, he decided to use the photo with the cake as his lock screen. It would be clearer that way and better than setting it as the desktop wallpaper where it would be buried under a pile of apps.

As soon as Yue Chu returned, he saw Feng Xuan lying pale on the sofa and her smooth forehead covered in fine beads of sweat. Her already colorless lips were dry and cracked, and her delicate fingers trembled incessantly.

He quickly walked over and touched Feng Xuan’s forehead, the heat there was alarmingly high.

Gently patting Feng Xuan’s cheek, he waited until she opened her eyes before saying with a deep frown, "I’ll take you to the hospital. Don’t be afraid."

Feng Xuan grabbed his arm with a bitter smile on her face as she weakly shook her head.

Her injuries wouldn't appear in the real world, but the unhealed severe wounds would leave her body weak. Even if she went to the hospital, nothing would be detected.

She was just puzzled—who was that powerful person? And why did they attack her?

But none of that mattered anymore. In a few days, she would face her final trial, and in her current state, there was no chance of survival.

Before, she thought it didn’t matter as long as she could drag the Xie family down to hell with her. But now, she couldn’t bear to let go.

The warmth she had finally obtained was about to end with her death. How could she accept that?

"I’m fine, brother. Can you hold me?"

Feng Xuan trembled as she nestled into Yue Chu’s warm embrace. The smile on her face bloomed like a lily, shedding all darkness and returning to pure innocence.

She had once wondered what her brother would be like. But after meeting Xie Mingyu for the first time, she realized he wasn't a family she could rely on—he was a devil who fed on her blood.

It wasn’t until she met Yue Chu that she truly understood what it meant to have a brother.

Everything was so beautiful, so beautiful that she couldn’t bear to lose it.

Yue Chu held her tightly as his gentle eyes flickering with deep thought.

If Feng Xuan was Xie Wei, then she had entered the Otherworld long ago, which was why she had the ability to break free from the Xie family’s control.

Combining the characteristics of Feng Xuan and Xie Wei in the world’s setting, it was likely that Feng Xuan, with her strength, had already cleared many trials over the years. This injury was probably sustained during one of those trials.

Judging by her expression, this clearly wasn’t the final trial. If this one was so perilous, what about the next one?

Although the setting dictated that both protagonists would successfully clear the Otherworld, Yue Chu didn’t dare to gamble on that one-in-ten-thousand possibility.

He lovingly stroked Feng Xuan’s frail back and said softly, "In the past, I didn’t want to press you, but this time, can you tell me what’s going on? Did someone bully you, or did you encounter some difficulty? No matter what it is, I’ll protect you and help you."

Feng Xuan bit her lip as her fingers kept clutching Yue Chu’s clothes tightly as she swallowed her sobs.

She knew, she knew everything, but she couldn’t bear to let her brother take the risk.

Her brother wanted to protect her, but she also wanted to protect him.

Yue Chu lifted her small face. It still bore a dark birthmark, but upon closer inspection, it didn’t look unattractive.

"We’re siblings, right? If we can’t even be honest with each other, how can we call ourselves siblings? I’ve even told you my worst secrets. Don’t you trust me?"

At this, Yue Chu feigned sadness as a hint of melancholy in his eyes. "Maybe I haven’t been a good enough brother, which is why you’re hesitant."

"No!"

Feng Xuan gripped his hand tightly while shaking her head frantically.

It wasn’t like that. Her brother had already done his best. It was just that she couldn’t bring herself to speak.

Those dark pasts, bizarre experiences, and the almost hopeless future—if she told him everything, how much trouble would it cause him?

Yue Chu tenderly stroked Feng Xuan's face with his fingers, his eyes serious and solemn, as vast as the universe, capable of encompassing all things.

"Then tell me."

Feng Xuan pursed her lips but succumbed under the gaze of those eyes.

She concealed her true origins but revealed everything about the Otherworld to Yue Chu without reservation.

Yue Chu's expression remained unchanged, though he was slightly surprised inwardly. It seemed that the original timeline had also been disrupted due to the change in Feng Xuan's identity.

Originally, Xie Wei had entered the Otherworld at the age of sixteen, while Feng Xuan had only entered at twenty-three. However, in reality, Feng Xuan had already been in the Otherworld for six years, which explained why she had reached the final stage.

Feng Xuan nervously looked at Yue Chu, afraid that he might think she was delirious with fever. To be honest, even she wouldn't have believed in such supernatural things before.

Yue Chu's expression was grave, but he believed her without hesitation.

He looked at Feng Xuan with concern: "If what you say is true, wouldn't entering the Otherworld next time be extremely dangerous?"

Feng Xuan felt her heart settle instantly.

Faced with such sincere trust and worry, she couldn't help but smile, feeling that even death would be worth it.

If all the suffering she had endured was meant to lead her to Yue Chu, then it was all worthwhile.

Not wanting to worry her brother, she said, "It's alright. I've made thorough preparations over the years."

Yue Chu quietly watched her with his usually gentle eyes now sharp and piercing, "You're lying."

Feng Xuan shrank back before timidly lowering her head and not daring to meet her brother's gaze.

For the first time, she understood what it meant to feel the majesty of an elder brother—a presence ingrained in her bones, one that instilled fear without the need for harsh words.

After a moment of contemplation, Yue Chu made a decision: "I'll go with you."

Feng Xuan's eyes widened in shock.

How could this be? The Otherworld was fraught with danger, and her brother had never experienced even a single world. How could he possibly face the final challenge?

She stammered, "N-no, only those chosen can enter the Otherworld. You can't..."

Yue Chu chuckled softly with his eyes calm and wise: "You must have a way, don't you?"

Feng Xuan was at a loss for words. She did have a method, but no one would willingly enter the perilous Otherworld for someone else.

Yue Chu understood as a slight smile played on his lips: "Then it's settled."

Feng Xuan, agitated, tried to sit up and say something, but Yue Chu pressed her back onto the bed, wrapped her in a blanket, and went out to fetch her some hot water.

Feng Xuan, cocooned like a silkworm, squirmed restlessly, feeling both touched and anxious, but she could only watch helplessly as her brother gracefully left.

……….

Three days later

Since time in the real world would stop once they entered the Otherworld, Yue Chu didn't inform Fang Tian and simply entered with Feng Xuan.

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow as he looked at the handsome young man dressed in male attire.

Feng Xuan pitifully tugged at his sleeve, indicating that she had her reasons and would explain everything honestly once they returned.

Yue Chu smiled gently, not minding, and ruffled her hair.

In truth, whether male or female didn't matter; what mattered was the person themselves.

The other team members were utterly confused. The scene of the aloof big brother transforming into a delicate little cabbage was too much to handle.

Feng Xuan began introducing her teammates to Yue Chu, but before she could finish, the entire Otherworld shook violently. Everyone had to hastily steady themselves to avoid falling.

Fortunately, the tremor lasted less than three seconds before it mysteriously stopped. Feng Xuan awkwardly explained to Yue Chu, "Well... the Otherworld has been a bit unstable recently."

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow as a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes. Indeed, it wasn't very stable.

Meanwhile, Fang Tian, who had been lost in thought while admiring a photo, was utterly shocked. He never expected that Yue Chu, whom he had always protected, would enter the Otherworld.

The Black Dragon thrashed about in a frenzy while letting out an angry roar that sent the entire Otherworld spinning.

However, within seconds, Fang Tian realized that Yue Chu was also here. What if he fell?!

Instantly, the Otherworld calmed down before becoming as steady as if nothing had happened. Even the small pebbles that had fallen bounced back to their original positions.

Ding dong. A crisp sound made Feng Xuan and the others, who were waiting to enter the small world, pause in surprise.

That familiar sound...

Everyone's astonished gazes focused on Yue Chu: How could he have brought his phone in here? Wait, how could his phone still have a signal?!

Yue Chu helplessly twitched the corner of his mouth. He didn't need to think to know who was behind this.

He took out his phone and, sure enough, saw a message popping up on the otherwise signal-less device. It read, somewhat conspicuously, "Where are you?"

Yue Chu replied, "My sister needs my help with something. I'll find you in a few days."

Sister?

Fang Tian's eyes, which were spread throughout the Otherworld, saw through the players' disguises. Yue Chu's sister was actually... Xie Wei?

He broke out in a cold sweat. Thank goodness he hadn't let anyone kill Xie Wei earlier, or he would have been done for!

Swallowing hard, Fang Tian replied, "Alright, let me know if you need any help."

"Mm, thanks."

Yue Chu put away his phone, only to find everyone staring at him with strange expressions.

"You... you can still send messages?"

He shrugged.

What could he say? It pays to have connections.
