Chapter 86: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 19

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

After the grand wedding, Yue Chu showed no signs of change and safely walked out of the bridal chamber, nodding with a smile at Feng Xuan.

Only then did Feng Xuan's heart fully settle, and she couldn't help but reveal a faint smile.

Pei Sheng, however, frowned as he looked at Yue Chu, feeling that this seemingly ordinary newcomer was somewhat elusive.

But then he thought that perhaps it was because there was still a plot to unfold, which was why the Ghost Bride was temporarily safe.

Yue Chu walked up to Feng Xuan and the others. Since they were relatives, it wouldn't be strange to sit down and have a chat.

After casually dismissing the servants, he gently asked, "I'm sorry, I stayed in the room all night last night and didn't gather any clues. Did you find anything?"

Feng Xuan and the others had indeed taken advantage of the chaos to search around, but they didn't find any concrete clues. Instead, they discovered an abandoned storeroom.

Although it was said to be abandoned, two guards were specifically assigned to watch over it, and the door was tightly locked, almost as if they were trying to cover something up.

However, they didn't have the key and were afraid of alerting the enemy, so they could only plan to deal with it later.

"Where can we get the key from?"

Feng Xuan replied, "It's probably in the hands of the Butler, but he seems quite formidable and not easy to subdue."

She spoke euphemistically because, based on their observations, the Butler was not just difficult to subdue—there might be casualties if they confronted him directly.

Yue Chu immediately understood that this was probably a last resort.

Just as he was about to say something, they heard a soft knock on the door, and a gentle voice respectfully said, "Madam, the master has sent someone to deliver the key to the storeroom to you."

Yue Chu was momentarily stunned, then let out a helpless cough. He turned his face to suppress a smile before nodding to Feng Xuan and the others and saying, "Come in."

A maid in a pink gauze dress didn't dare to raise her head and knelt directly on the ground before holding a box high above her head and trembling as she said, "Madam, please take a look."

Yue Chu took the box from her hands and saw that it contained a pile of bronze keys. Each was engraved with different characters, almost as if they were labeled to indicate which key went where.

The maid's teeth were chattering, but she had no choice but to explain the purpose of each key to Yue Chu one by one.

Yue Chu picked up a key carved with a small flower and examined it carefully. Were they afraid he wouldn't find it, so they used a flower to represent the character?

After the maid finished speaking, he smiled and dismissed her.

Pushing the keys toward Feng Xuan, Yue Chu said, "Now that we have the keys, we just need to find a way to distract the guards."

Feng Xuan stared blankly at the keys in front of her.

‘Wasn't there something off about this?’

Pei Sheng grew increasingly suspicious as he scrutinized Yue Chu.

In the past, whenever they found a clue, they would have to go through a fierce struggle to obtain it, but this time it was simply handed to them.

Things that come too easily always arouse suspicion. Could this be another trap set by the Evil Spirits?

Feng Xuan hesitated but took the keys. "That's true, but those two guards probably can't be easily moved by just anyone."

Yue Chu picked up the Round Fan and lightly tapped it in his hand twice while smiling gently. "If you don't use your privileges, they expire. While I'm still the Madam, I'll go and see if there's a way to get them to leave."

Feng Xuan thought it made sense. Even if they couldn't find a way now, it would be good to go and investigate carefully.

Under the pretext of taking a stroll around the mansion, several players posing as relatives accompanied Yue Chu as they wandered aimlessly through the vast estate and also to subtly observe their surroundings.

After much meandering, they finally arrived at the abandoned storeroom. Yue Chu raised an eyebrow slightly at the desolate scene before the door.

‘Is this it?’

Feng Xuan also widened her eyes in disbelief. When they had checked last night, the place was heavily guarded. How could it be like this today?

The group looked around uneasily.

The lonely building stood in an open area with not even a blade of grass growing around it. Occasionally, a couple of sparrows passed by and resting on the slightly upturned eaves with their small black eyes curiously watching the group standing below.

Yue Chu curled his lips slightly and turned to Feng Xuan and the others. "Just because there's no one here now doesn't mean there won't be anyone at night. Come back tonight to investigate further and act according to the situation."

Feng Xuan and the others nodded. That was the only way.

When they returned to the front hall, Yue Chu encountered the Matchmaker again. Originally, her role was over, but since the other ghosts were too terrified, they had to send this elderly ghost to serve.

The Matchmaker bowed respectfully and began following the script as instructed by the Lord. "Madam, the weather is lovely today. Why don't you take your cousins to the Abundant Prosperity Hall for a visit?"

Yue Chu didn't refuse, knowing this was part of the predetermined plot. He turned to Feng Xuan and the others with a smile. "Let's go then."

The Matchmaker led them to the entrance, where a large sedan chair awaited, with four burly bearers standing quietly by.

The Matchmaker lifted the curtain for Yue Chu and invited him inside.

As soon as the sedan chair was lifted, it moved smoothly and swiftly forward.

But before Feng Xuan and the others, there was nothing but a cold, lonely breeze.

So, they were only worthy of walking?

The Matchmaker didn't even glance at them. She just flicked her handkerchief as she turned and went back inside.

She still had to instruct the little ghosts to prepare dinner, lest the Madam return hungry.

‘Amitabha! May Buddha bless that the Madam doesn't lose his temper when he returns!’

Feng Xuan and the others exchanged glances but had no choice but to jog after them.

When they arrived at the Abundant Prosperity Hall, Yue Chu stepped out of the sedan chair without a single speck of dust on his robes, while Feng Xuan and the others were panting and drenched in sweat.

One of Feng Xuan's teammates tugged at his collar to catch his breath while saying enviously, "If only I had drawn the bride card."

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow slightly. His luxurious robes trailing over the threshold, the embroidered peonies blooming in large patches, reflecting dazzling light under the sun.

They went up to a private room on the second floor, which happened to overlook the river. They could see the vast expanse of white water, with slender boats gliding slowly through it, picturesque and poetic.

Yue Chu sipped his tea boredly, wondering what this act was all about.

Soon, the relatives who weren't players began enthusiastically urging him to drink, their demeanor making it clear that Yue Chu would be disrespecting them if he refused.

Yue Chu stared at the wine being handed to him and kept watching until the person's hand trembled and was about to give way, before finally smiling and accepting the cup before downing the wine in one gulp.

"Since it's offered by my elder brother, how could I refuse?"

The ghost, seeing that he had drunk, finally relaxed while subtly waving behind his back to signal that they could start pouring.

Yue Chu also didn't refuse and kept drinking cup after cup, and soon his face turned a light red, as if adorned with the finest rouge.

Feng Xuan was somewhat worried, but seeing her brother subtly shake his head at her, she could only temporarily suppress her anxiety and sit quietly in her chair.

Seeing that Yue Chu had drunk enough, the ghost took the lead in stirring up the excitement: "Madam seems a bit drunk, why not rest in the private room for a while, and we'll continue drinking."

"Good, good, good."

The other ghosts immediately nodded in agreement while eagerly looking at Yue Chu, afraid he wouldn't cooperate.

Due to the intoxication, Yue Chu's clear eyes were veiled with a misty haze, revealing a faint allure in their shimmer and paired with his feminine attire, making him ambiguously captivating, both masculine and feminine.

The ghosts dared not even glance at him. They either look at the sky, the ground, or at the ants, fearing their eyeballs might fall out if they weren't careful.

Yue Chu swayed as he stood up before apologetically bowing to everyone: "Then, as my elder brother suggests, call me when you're ready to leave."

After saying this, he swayed lightly with his skirt fluttering as he entered the private room before lying crookedly on the couch, exuding a sweet aroma of alcohol.

He half-closed his eyes while looking towards the door, curious about what would happen next.

It wasn't long before he heard footsteps coming upstairs, and a tall figure appeared at the door that gently knocked.

Yue Chu didn't respond.

Seeing no movement inside, the sneaky person quietly entered before tiptoeing to Yue Chu's side with his eyes meticulously scanning him from head to toe, utterly brazen.

Yue Chu closed his eyes and waited for a long time without any action, and had to open them again to look at the person with a drunken haze.

The man was tall and robust with dark skin, and a handsome face full of masculine charm. The type normal women would like.

Seeing him, Yue Chu pretended to be startled as he retreated inward while struggling to prop himself up on the edge of the couch, his voice slightly trembling: "You... who are you? Why are you here?"

Fang Tian was taken aback, not expecting Yue Chu to actually be afraid, and quickly took two steps back to create distance before gruffly saying: "This is my room, little lady lying here, isn't... isn't..."

Who designed this dialogue, it's so embarrassing!

Fang Tian complained in his heart as his gaze shifted from Yue Chu's face to the ground before barely squeezing out the rest of the words: "Isn't seducing me."

After saying this, his face turned red, but fortunately, his darker skin tone made it less obvious.

Yue Chu seemed stunned as a glint of light flashing in his pupils, ‘This guy…’

‘Playing the groom is one thing, but now he's acting as the lover, is he sick?!’

But he immediately put on a stern face, as if insulted, before sharply rebuking: "Bold scoundrel, clearly you were rude first. Leave now, and I'll pretend nothing happened, otherwise I'll call for help!"

Fang Tian swallowed hard but couldn't help to rub his fingers.

‘Although he knew it was all part of the script, but still... it was too thrilling.’

He sneered before taking two steps forward. His tall figure half-pressing on the couch, trapping Yue Chu between his arms, with his brazen gaze tightly fixed on his peach-blossom-like face.

"Go ahead and shout, even if you shout till your throat is hoarse, no one will save you."

Yue Chu's eyelashes fluttered slightly.

‘Who was the fool who arranged this dialogue, it's a wonder Fang Tian could shamelessly say it out loud.’

His gaze swept over Fang Tian's face with a deep, inscrutable look. His eyes slightly lowered as if he had no strength to resist. Yet, as Fang Tian drew closer, he suddenly wrapped his arms around Fang Tian's neck, pressing him down, and delivered a fierce elbow strike to his back. Taking advantage of Fang Tian's pain and curling posture, he kicked him hard and sent him sprawling to the ground.

Yue Chu stood up from the bed before gently smoothing out the wrinkles in his sleeves. His eyes blazing as he looked down at Fang Tian, who lay on the ground in disbelief.

So he liked to play games, did he? Then Yue Chu would play along.

With light, unhurried steps, the long hem of his robe gracefully slid off the bed as he walked over to Fang Tian, who instinctively covered his face.

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow slightly.

This posture… it was all too familiar, and it made his blood boil!

Now he finally understood why there had been so many lunatics that day—it turned out they were all just one person pretending.

A slow smile curved Yue Chu's lips as he clenched his fist and raised it high.

Hearing the commotion upstairs, Feng Xuan immediately stood up, fearing that something had happened to Yue Chu. But just as she was about to go and check, she was coldly blocked by a group of Evil Spirits.

The leader of the spirits glared with a fierce expression: "Sit here quietly. No one leaves until Madam comes down!"

Feng Xuan wasn’t afraid of them. Her fingers pressed against her waist, ready to summon her tools.

Pei Sheng quickly stepped forward to stop her.

Was she out of her mind? There were only three of them, but there were more than a dozen Evil Spirits, not to mention those outside in the tavern. If their identities were exposed, they wouldn’t even leave a trace of themselves behind.

He lowered his voice to soothe her: "Xie Wei, calm down. From what the spirits are saying, your brother must be safe."

Feng Xuan’s face turned pale, her nails digging into her palms and her legs feeling as heavy as if they were filled with lead.

But what if he wasn’t?

She couldn’t gamble on that possibility.

Feng Xuan closed her eyes in distress. She staggered back a few steps before collapsing into a chair with her fists clenched so tightly they turned white.

She regretted it.

She shouldn’t have brought her brother here.
