Chapter 69: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 02

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

Jin Hui didn't expect someone to play the good Samaritan here.

Come on, with Feng Xuan's ugly appearance, any man would want to steer clear of her, let alone be so polite.

He looked up and was nearly blinded.

Good heavens, where did this guy come from? With such a striking appearance, he was completely out of sync with their usual crowd!

Turning back, he saw the group of shallow women almost drooling.

Feeling jealous, Jin Hui roughly pushed through the crowd to stand in front of Yue Chu, forgetting all about the rent, and was ready to teach this pretty boy a lesson.

"Who do you think you are, showing off here?"

Then he yelled at Feng Xuan, "Hurry up and come over, you ugly ghost! If you don't go to the Old Ghost House tonight, you're dead!"

As he spoke, Jin Hui reached out to grab Feng Xuan's slender wrist, looking fierce and rude, not treating her like a girl at all.

Feng Xuan shrank her shoulders but didn't move. She knew she was no match for Jin Hui, and no one would help her. It was better to comply than to resist and get hurt.

However, Jin Hui didn't manage to grab Feng Xuan's hand; instead, it was intercepted by a pair of finely sculpted hands.

Yue Chu chuckled, "Forcing a girl isn't something a man should do."

Jin Hui widened his eyes and immediately swung his hand while shouting, "None of your business!" He smugly curled his lips as he could already imagine knocking Yue Chu to the ground and exposing his embarrassing appearance.

Unfortunately, fantasy is always less than cruel reality. Those hands, which looked like works of art, easily twisted his wrist, causing him excruciating pain.

Jin Hui didn't expect this pretty boy to be so tough.

Hitting a snag, he immediately called for help from his companions, but was almost angered to the point of a heart attack.

Those infatuated women not only didn't indignantly seek revenge for him, but their eyes were practically glowing green and almost drooling. What's worse, his brothers were also indiscriminate, probably only holding back because of his face.

Jin Hui looked miserable, feeling like he forgot to burn incense before leaving the house today, hence his bad luck.

Feng Xuan was amused. She never expected the person who used to flaunt his power in front of her to look so foolish.

Afraid of being noticed, she quickly lowered her head to hide her smile, but her previous fear and loneliness had also disappeared.

It seemed... there was nothing to be afraid of.

Seeing Jin Hui beg for mercy, Yue Chu let go.

He took two tissues from the front desk to carefully wipe the hand that had just touched Jin Hui, and accurately threw the used tissues into the trash bin, as if silently mocking Jin Hui.

Jin Hui's face turned red with anger, but the intense pain in his arm told him that this man was not to be trifled with.

Yue Chu glanced at him, knowing he harbored resentment. If he didn't resolve the matter completely, these bullies would likely vent their anger on Feng Xuan.

"I heard you were going to explore the haunted house. I'm a horror enthusiast and quite interested. How about I accompany this young lady with you?"

Jin Hui was about to refuse, but the girls had already screamed in agreement while excitedly surrounding Yue Chu and asking all sorts of questions.

He choked until his neck turned red as he panted heavily while wishing he could throw these embarrassing individuals out.

However, upon second thought, he couldn't help but grin maliciously.

This pretty boy didn't seem to have much courage. Scare him a bit, and he’d surely make a fool of himself.

Yue Chu seamlessly integrated into the main storyline.

Originally, he didn’t want Feng Xuan to come along, but the stubborn girl insisted on following. This kind-hearted girl didn’t want the person who had kindly helped her to bear the risks alone.

Jin Hui, who was driving, glared at him in annoyance. Watching the Mini Flying Camera swaying around, he grumbled, "Who allowed you to livestream?! Aren’t you afraid of crashing?!"

When your cowardly self is exposed to the entire internet, don’t blame me for not warning you in advance!

Yue Chu smiled faintly before turning the camera toward Jin Hui. His voice was enchanting, like moonlight spilling over: "This is my friend. Say hello to everyone."

Yes, livestreaming—the original host’s job. However, even after three years, he remained an unremarkable small-time streamer, with only a handful of fans tuning in and nothing more.

According to the system, the original host had a weak heart and paid no attention to his health, staying up late and living a chaotic schedule. He then died young.

When Jin Hui saw the camera, he froze as he was unsure of what expression to make, and could only awkwardly grin.

A wave of disdain swept across the live chat, with eager fans clamoring to see the streamer’s stunning beauty again.

It didn’t matter. Even though they knew it was probably ten levels of beauty filters, it didn’t stop them from fawning over the screen.

Because… he was just too good-looking!!!

How had they never noticed the streamer’s looks before? Yet, no matter how hard they tried to recall, they couldn’t remember what he used to look like.

Jin Hui was so infuriated by the chat that he slammed the steering wheel, causing a sharp honk, only to be smacked on the head by the girl in the back seat.

"What’s wrong with you?!"

Jin Hui widened his eyes but dared not retort. These women might look delicate, but they were as fierce as tigresses. He knew better than to provoke them.

Gripping the steering wheel angrily, he secretly vowed to make Yue Chu pay later.

The three off-road vehicles rumbled over the bumpy gravel road, with lush green trees lining both sides, forming a massive canopy that blocked out the sunlight.

It wasn’t until they reached the bridge that the sound of rushing water suddenly became audible.

Yue Chu turned the camera outside, revealing a small river rushing from around the corner. At the bend, nestled against the mountain wall, stood a two-story house.

The house had a gray roof and white walls, with some peeling paint, but it didn’t look too old. The trees on either side, untrimmed for too long, had grown excessively lush, partially obscuring the building.

From here, the full view of the house wasn’t visible. Only after crossing the bridge could one circle around to the front.

Strangely, a tree was planted right in front of the house. It seemed quite old, with a thick trunk, yet oddly, it bore no leaves. Like the withered hand of a starving person, it stretched desperately and powerlessly toward the sky, forming a stark contrast with the surrounding lush foliage.

Yue Chu focused the camera on the tree for a close-up while chuckling softly as he said, "This is probably a tree with a story. Even though it has lost its nutrients, it still strives to protect a home that no longer has anyone in it."

"Truly... touching."

The barrage of comments filled with six dots, and the viewers online were almost speechless. This was really a goddamn explanation.

It was clearly a feng shui setup for gathering yin and nurturing ghosts, but Yue Chu had forcefully attached a touching story to it, leaving them at a loss for words.

They couldn't help but think that the streamer could easily make a living with his looks, so why did he always take such bizarre paths?

A concerned fan kindly said, "This place gives off a really bad vibe. Streamer, you should head back quickly. I'm not trying to scare you, but seeking thrills definitely shouldn't be done like this."

Other fans chimed in agreement.

Yue Chu smiled and thanked his fans for their concern but reassured them, "Everyone, please rest assured, I’m certain I’ll be fine. While I appreciate your concern, ghost stories and haunted houses are all just about scaring ourselves. We should believe in science."

Having spent time in a vampire world, Yue Chu delivered this scientific explanation without batting an eye and even almost convincing himself in the process.

Just then, Jin Hui, who had been walking angrily under the tree branches, suddenly let out a yelp. Clutching his shoulder, he turned to look behind him with his eyes suspiciously scanning Yue Chu and the others.

"What the hell, who kicked me!"

The purple-haired girl (referred to as Xiao Zi), with her long false eyelashes and bright eyeshadow, shot Jin Hui a fierce glare and curled her lips in disdain. "Idiot, do you think we’re doing high kicks here? How could we possibly kick your shoulder!"

Jin Hui thought about it and realized she was right, but... he had distinctly felt something hit his shoulder.

He looked up at the tree, but the bare branches revealed nothing.

After scanning the area fruitlessly, he could only mutter a few curses under his breath and swallow his frustration.

‘Damn it, today was just not going well at all.’

The panoramic camera captured everything, and the fans watching felt a chill run down their spines before nervously wrapping themselves tighter in their blankets.

Though they couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong, something about this place felt really off!!

Yue Chu turned slightly and whispered a reminder to Feng Xuan while adjusting her hat for her.

While he didn’t think Feng Xuan’s face was unattractive, to avoid exposing her to the public eye and potential attacks, he had prepared a hat to cover her face.

"Stay close to me."

Feng Xuan nodded obediently with her eyes fixed on Yue Chu’s white shirt as it swayed occasionally in front of her. Her fingers twitched slightly, but she didn’t dare to reach out and grab the hem of his shirt.

For some reason, even though they had just met not long ago, she felt an overwhelming sense of safety just by being near Yue Chu.

Her dark eyes, with their unusually large pupils, scanned the surroundings.

The place gave her a terrible feeling, as if numerous cold, sinister eyes were watching them from the shadows. The malicious gaze made her shiver, and only when she saw Yue Chu’s tall, slender figure did she feel a sense of calm.

Feng Xuan pressed her lips together and quietly followed Yue Chu, like his shadow.

The door to the house wasn’t locked. Due to years of neglect and exposure to the elements, it let out a heavy creak as it was pushed open, sounding as if it were being squeezed out from the cracks of decaying bones.

It was too dark inside. The dense foliage blocked the faint evening light, making it difficult for the eyes to adjust to the darkness and left one momentarily disoriented.

Yue Chu turned on the flashlight he carried with him and shone it into the room.

Through the beam of light, it was clear that the furniture in the room was still there, but it was covered in a thick layer of dust from being uninhabited for so long.

A sofa wrapped in champagne-colored leather stood quietly on one side of the living room, while the TV across from it seemed to have been smashed, with cracks spreading like a spider's web.

A photo frame placed nearby had been turned face down on the TV cabinet. Jin Hui, driven by his intense curiosity, picked it up, but the moment he saw it, his hand trembled, and the frame fell to the ground.

Xiao Fen was startled and glared at Jin Hui while clutching her chest. "Can you handle anything? Even picking something up makes you drop it!"

But Jin Hui's face was pale and his eyes wide with terror, making one wonder if they might pop out of their sockets at any moment.

Xiao Fen was frightened by his expression but still pretended to stay calm as she picked up the photo frame. When she looked at it, she was speechless—it was just a photo of a couple. What was so scary about that?

Coward!

She shot Jin Hui an angry look, slapped the frame against his chest, and then strutted upstairs in her eight-centimeter heels.

Jin Hui's trembling fingers took the frame from his chest and looked at it again. It was just an ordinary photo.

But...

He had clearly seen the man in the photo holding his own head in his hands with his neck seemingly severed by some sharp object, revealing bright red flesh. The woman, on the other hand, looked withered, like a mummy dried in the sun for dozens of days, her eye sockets and mouth dark and hollow, while grinning ferociously at him.

Yue Chu leaned over to take a look and chuckled softly. "What a happy family. They must have left behind beautiful memories in this house."

Jin Hui twitched the corner of his mouth and silently placed the frame back in its original position. He couldn’t see any trace of happiness in it.

He swallowed hard and looked around, suddenly regretting coming here.

Not only was the location of this house strange, but its design was also bizarre. There were doors everywhere and narrow corridors everywhere, making it impossible to know where the next door would lead or what might be around the next corner.
