Chapter 76: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 09

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

Yue Chu was currently searching for information about the Xie family online. As an ordinary person, investigating a wealthy and noble family was nearly impossible, so he could only rely on the internet to catch a glimpse of their world.

However, all the information indicated that the Xie family had only one heir, Xie Mingyu. Xie Mingyu was an only child, in good health, and there were no rumors of any strange illnesses.

Yue Chu wasn’t optimistic about the accuracy of this information, though. After all, the Xie family would never allow such unsavory matters to be exposed publicly.

He furrowed his brows slightly, feeling as if he were walking on thin ice.

Without money or influence, he was just an ordinary worker in this world. Moreover, the constraints of a law-abiding society meant he couldn’t just storm into the Xie family’s home, hold a firearm to the Xie Family Head’s head, and demand to find Xie Wei.

Even if he managed to rescue someone, he’d likely be rewarded with a silver bracelet and a ten-year all-inclusive stay in prison.

What puzzled him the most was that, according to the setup, he should have easily encountered Xie Wei to trigger the plot. Yet, this time, the male protagonist’s shadow was nowhere to be seen.

Forget it, he’d just have to wait a little longer.

For now, Yue Chu couldn’t think of a solution, so he set the matter aside and focused on his work.

The job of an ordinary person was truly difficult. He rubbed his temples in frustration and began filling out his resume.

His live-streaming platform was currently cracking down on regulations and requiring him to re-submit his information, which was a hassle.

Staring at his poorly adjusted ID photo, Yue Chu’s eyes lit up, and he chuckled softly as he picked up his phone.

“Are you there? I need a favor.”

Fang Tian was idly patrolling his Otherworld. At first, he found it quite amusing to watch the people he had personally created struggle and scheme for survival within it.

It was a source of entertainment for him.

But over time, it became dull. Now, he had even reduced his routine patrols from once every few days to once every two or three months.

A pitch-black gate stood in the midst of a vast void, its darkness flowing like a living entity. Within it, horrifying and bloody scenes occasionally flickered, each one a small world created by Fang Tian.

In this cold and silent darkness, a crisp notification chime rang out, breaking the stillness and bringing a sense of vitality to the void.

The phone floated up, and Fang Tian eagerly read the message Yue Chu had sent him before quickly replying.

“What’s up? Just let me know.”

Yue Chu leisurely sipped his freshly made soy milk. The rich, fragrant aroma of beans filled his senses, and the warm liquid flowed into his stomach, heating up his entire body.

A porcelain cup adorned with yellow lemons was illuminated by the sunlight streaming through the window, exuding the crisp and gentle aura of early morning. Paired with the crispy pancakes he had fried, it marked the beginning of a new day.

He sent over his ID photo along with the platform’s requirements: “I’m not great at photo editing. Can you help me adjust the photo to meet the required format?”

Fang Tian opened the photo. It was a blue-background ID photo.

The man in the photo had soft black hair and fair skin. His clear, watery eyes carried a gentle smile, like stars falling into a tranquil river, reflecting the brilliance of the heavens.

The man’s lips were thin but beautifully rosy, without a hint of harshness. Instead, the slight upward curve of his lips made one want to smile along with him.

The snow-white shirt was buttoned up to the top and paired with a dark tie, making the slender neck resemble that of a swan, exuding an increasingly captivating beauty of restraint.

Fang Tian was stunned for a long time, feeling as if his heart had been struck as a tremor ran through his soul while silently roaring and yearning to break free from its shackles.

He shook his head in a daze, causing the entire door to tremble slightly, sending a shiver through the Otherworld.

It took him a moment to regain his composure and suppress the inexplicable surge of emotions.

He felt somewhat helpless; a simple ID photo had been heavily edited with beauty filters, enlarging the eyes and slimming the face to the maximum. He hadn't expected Yue Chu to be so concerned about his image.

But to be honest, the edited photo had struck a chord with him, perfectly matching his ideal type.

After some hesitation, Fang Tian gently reminded him, "Is this ID photo acceptable?"

Yue Chu didn't catch the deeper meaning in his words and carefully examined his newly taken ID photo, finding nothing wrong with it.

Fang Tian had no choice but to help him adjust the format and send it to him.

Yue Chu looked at the photo with satisfaction, quickly uploaded it, and finally submitted the information form.

"How have you been these past couple of days?"

Yue Chu casually asked, showing concern.

Fang Tian felt a warmth in his heart, knowing Yue Chu was worried about him.

"I'm fine. It's just my own fault for being blind and not seeing people clearly."

Yue Chu swayed in his chair and comfortably squinted his eyes under the light. It was good that Simp could let go when it mattered.

"It's okay. Everyone encounters a few scumbags when they're young. You'll meet the right person eventually."

Fang Tian nodded, but his focus quickly shifted, "Have you also encountered scumbags?"

Yue Chu was speechless. Did he think everyone was as naive as him?

At this thought, he smiled slightly. He hadn't encountered scumbags; he had been the one to break others' hearts.

"No, I'm not as foolish as you."

Fang Tian breathed a sigh of relief, though he didn't know why he felt happy again. He quickly suppressed the joy and continued the conversation seriously.

However, the Nine-Dragon Pattern on the door seemed to come alive as its thick-scaled tail wagged joyfully and emitting a Dragon's Roar that shook the Otherworld.

Yue Chu added, "By the way, the criminals here have been caught. The Da Xiao Long Brothers can return."

Moreover, the Da Xiao Long Brothers likely had someone in custody, seemingly intending to bring them before Fang Tian for handling.

Yue Chu's well-balanced eyebrows seemed to be edged with gold under the sunlight and his smile carried a profound meaning.

Fang Tian agreed. He himself didn't like being followed around all day, so he could understand Yue Chu's feelings.

Coincidentally, he had received a report from Da Xiao Long Brothers that they had caught an Evil Spirit daring to follow Yue Chu. At this thought, Fang Tian's expression turned icy, and the door's faint blue light exuded a murderous aura.

Early on, when he first met Yue Chu, to protect this friend with whom he could share his thoughts, he had placed a Curse on Yue Chu, preventing any spirits from approaching him. Yet, it seemed there were still some who dared to get close.

It appeared that his Curse Decree had not been seen in the world for too long, losing such of its deterrent power.

"Alright, let's stop chatting. I have work to do and need to head out soon."

Yue Chu's mission today was to venture into the Cangshan Forest in Nanlu City, a legendary suicide sanctuary shrouded in mystery. Attracting viewers for a live stream wasn't an easy task, and he had carefully chosen this location after much deliberation.

Fang Tian gave a few reminders and, seeing that his phone had stopped ringing, slowly immersed himself in the darkness.

It was so boring. Without Yue Chu, he felt for the first time how desolate it was to be sealed here.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but feel a stir in his heart.

Yue Chu had seen his appearance, but he hadn't seen Yue Chu in person. Of course, heavily edited photos didn't count—those were probably so altered that even his own mother wouldn't recognize him.

The more he thought about it, the more Fang Tian couldn't restrain himself, feeling as if a kitten's claws were scratching at his heart, making it unbearably itchy.

Just one glance, just one glance. He just wanted to know what his friend looked like, so they wouldn't pass each other on the street without recognition—how sad that would be.

Besides, Yue Chu had already seen him. For fairness' sake, it was his turn to take a look.

Yue Chu was so gentle; he surely wouldn't mind.

Moreover, this wasn't peeping—at most, it was a discreet, open glance.

After giving himself a hundred reasons, Fang Tian silently slipped into Yue Chu's phone.

Yue Chu was changing clothes in front of the mirror. His bare upper body, honed by daily exercise, now had a thin layer of muscle. His fair skin was bathed in a soft glow from the sunlight, as smooth and delicate as fine mutton-fat jade, making one want to reach out and touch it to see if it was as soft as imagined.

The loose, deep blue jeans hung low on his waist, revealing a sexy v-line that extended inward, leaving one to lament why the pants blocked the most beautiful view. His straight back had elegant lines, his slim waist was strong and defined, and his firm buttocks were snugly wrapped in denim.

Yue Chu threw on a jacket before buttoning it up with his pinkish-white fingers, and casually ran his hands through his hair, feeling ready to set off.

Just then, the phone on the table suddenly exploded with a crisp sound and a few sparks, startling Yue Chu.

Turning to look, he saw that his phone screen had shattered into pieces and covered in a dense web of cracks. The protective case had been blown off, lying on the ground half-burnt while emitting an unpleasant smell.

Yue Chu frowned, waited for a moment to ensure there were no further explosions, and then walked over.

What was going on? He had never heard of this phone model exploding or catching fire.

He felt a bit helpless. Just as he was about to head out for work, his phone had to break—what a bad start. Well, he'd better hurry and buy a new one, or tomorrow's live stream would be out of the question.

His income wasn't high to begin with, and now this misfortune on top of it all—he was feeling the pinch of financial worry for the first time.

Yue Chu frowned, swept the phone into the trash, made sure no shards were left on the floor to step on, then took his bank card, put it in his wallet, and headed out.

Meanwhile, the black Nine Dragons gate stood quietly in the void with all its blue light extinguished as if lifeless.

However, this phenomenon only lasted for a moment before the gate suddenly began to shake violently. A beam of ghostly blue light shot into the sky, piercing through the ethereal mist of black and white, and fiercely collided with an invisible boundary as it passed through layers of thin veils.

The Otherworld was thrown into chaos in an instant, and all the players who were training were ejected. Countless Evil Spirits trembled and crawled on the ground with their forms distorted and nearly shattered, almost dissipating into nothingness.

Chains emerged from around the gate, glowing with a golden light as they tightly bound it. Talismans inscribed with various characters fluttered wildly, and tiny figures resembling little people wielding slender swords suddenly charged at the gate.

The entire tremor lasted a full ten minutes before it finally subsided. Fang Tian gasped for breath while pressing his hand against his chest, feeling as dizzy as if he were drunk.

‘So, am I really this shallow? Falling for someone at first sight?’

Fang Tian held his head in pain as his crimson pupils flickering with dark shadows. His emotions surged with a mix of self-doubt and confusion.

He had fallen in love with Yue Chu at first sight.
