Chapter 79: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 12

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

Fang Tian worked quickly, and within two days, he sent the firsthand information he had gathered to Yue Chu.

Yue Chu was in the middle of learning how to bake a cake when he heard his phone ring. He set the timer on the oven, wiped his hands, and walked over to the table to pick up his phone and check the message.

The more he read, the deeper his frown became.

The Xie family indeed harbored a secret, but this secret was completely different from the world setting provided by the system.

Xie Mingyu suffered from a strange illness that required him to undergo blood transfusions with a close blood relative at regular intervals to sustain his life. However, the donor wasn’t Xie Wei, as Yue Chu had assumed, but Xie Mingyu’s younger sister. She had no name—Father Xie and Mother Xie had never given her one, and no one had ever needed to call her by a name.

Xie Mingyu’s sister had been raised in the family mansion since childhood, hidden from outsiders. To avoid the risk of exposure, the Xie family dressed her as a boy, making her Xie Mingyu’s shadow. This way, even if someone asked about her, they could brush it off as a case of mistaken identity.

However, she was a person, not a tool. As she grew older, Little Sister Xie gradually became aware of her perilous situation and quietly planned her escape.

Unfortunately, the Xie family kept a close watch on her, and her escape plan quickly ended in failure.

But a year ago, something strange happened in the Xie family. A bizarre fire suddenly broke out in the mansion, fierce and spreading at an alarming rate. Despite their efforts to extinguish it, half of the house was burned to the ground.

Many of the servants working in the mansion that day didn’t make it out, and when they were found, their bodies were charred beyond recognition. Little Sister Xie also vanished without a trace that day—no body was found, and there was no evidence of her escape.

After an exhaustive search yielded no results, the Xie family eventually gave up and buried the secret in the ashes.

Without Little Sister Xie’s blood supply, Xie Mingyu’s condition quickly deteriorated.

Seeing that his son was no longer fit to inherit the family business, Father Xie immediately brought in his illegitimate child from outside and began grooming him as the successor.

Meanwhile, Mother Xie, humiliated and unwilling to give up, went to great lengths to deceive three women into entering the household, intending to cultivate the next Blood bag for Xie Mingyu. But ten months was a long time to wait, and she could only temporarily stabilize Xie Mingyu’s condition with her own blood.

Yue Chu’s brow remained furrowed as he tapped his fingers lightly on the table, producing a rhythmic clicking sound.

No wonder he had always felt that the setting was off—the problem lay here.

First, he had always found it strange that Xie Wei’s name was “Wei”.

The character “Wei” didn’t suit a child who was merely a tool; instead, it often carried the love and hopes parents had for their children.

Second, Xie Wei and Xie Mingyu were close in age, so why had Father Xie insisted on preserving the life of a sick child rather than nurturing a healthy one?

If it was out of love, that would be laughable. A patriarch like Father Xie would undoubtedly prioritize the family’s interests above all else.

Now it made more sense—because she was a girl, a child who, under traditional beliefs, couldn’t inherit the family business, and just existed solely as Xie Mingyu’s provider.

So who was Xie Wei? Was he Little Sister Xie disguised as a boy?

Yue Chu fell into deep thought.

At that moment, his phone rang again. Fang Tian sent a message: “Don’t worry about this. I’ll take care of the Xie family for you tomorrow.”

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow slightly. Such bold words.

He couldn’t help but chuckle. It was impressive how Fang Tian could deliver such a domineering line—straight out of a CEO drama—without batting an eye.

However, considering Fang Tian's personality, it's quite possible he would actually do it.

On the other hand, due to the surging malevolent thoughts, the chains on Fang Tian's body tightened even more, and the Golden Talisman kept spinning to firmly trap him.

"No need, revenge is only meaningful when taken by oneself. Thank you."

Fang Tian's mood immediately changed. The previously turbulent waves of malice calmed down, instantly becoming as bright and warm as a rainbow after the rain.

After all, whatever Yue Chu said was right. He just needed to respond with "Okay."

"Okay, it's all up to you. But if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask."

Yue Chu's lips curled slightly. Naturally.

Fang Tian was still in the Otherworld, and his longing for Yue Chu was like a torrential flood, instantly overwhelming his entire heart.

He couldn't pretend to be calm because, for Yue Chu, he wanted to possess everything from his dark hair to his pink fingertips.

In his barren heart, Yue Chu was the only and final rose.

"What are you doing?"

If it weren't for the fact that he couldn't stay away from the Otherworld for too long, he would have loved to hide in a corner every day and just greedily observe Yue Chu.

Yue Chu turned around and glanced at the cream cake he had made, which was now placed on the table. He picked up a piece and put it in his mouth, feeling the sweet cream melt into his heart.

He casually took a selfie and sent it over. After licking the white cream off his fingers and wiping his hands with a tissue, he finally replied.

"I'm making a cake. It's very sweet."

Fang Tian zoomed in on the photo to the maximum. The young man in the picture was tall and graceful, with clear and natural eyes, like a mountain stream, pure and untainted by the world.

There was a bit of white cream at the corner of his mouth, making one want to lick it off and see if it tasted as sweet as he said.

Fang Tian smiled softly, not with a dazzling brightness, but with a gentle light like that of dawn, quietly and warmly illuminating the entire room, gently enveloping others in that radiance.

As if to let him see the cake clearly, Yue Chu even held the cake up to the camera. The cupcake, wrapped in yellow rice paper, was topped with a thick layer of cream and sprinkled with colorful sugar sprinkles.

The snow-white fingers holding the cake wrapper also had some cream on them, making the pinkish nails even more sweet and tempting. Fang Tian felt his teeth itch and wanted to take a bite, yet reluctant, and just wanted to gently lick instead.

His heart raced, and his blood surged.

The Nine Dragons on the door kept rolling while emitting low roars like thunder.

The Otherworld was once again on high alert, but it no longer felt the initial panic. After all, it had happened too many times; even a fragile heart would get used to it.

Only the Golden Talisman continued to dutifully suppress Fang Tian according to its program, though after round after round of consumption, its glow was no longer as bright as before.

Fang Tian swallowed as a thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead. His fingers trembled for a while before he finally replied, "It looks good. I really want to try it."

Yue Chu chuckled.

‘This time, he seemed much calmer than before.’

"Sure, I'll save two for you. When you have time to come out, I'll treat you to a meal."

It was also a way to thank Fang Tian for the information he had provided.

Fang Tian's heart skipped a beat.

‘Are... are we going to meet?’

His heart surged with emotion, feeling as if the calm lake of his mind had been struck by towering waves before crashing against the hundred-meter cliff and splashing into a sky full of snowy foam. Blood rushed to his head, as if he had downed a bottle of high-proof liquor, leaving him dizzy and lightheaded, as if his entire being floating in a daze.

He barely managed to summon his "gentlemanly demeanor": "It’s up to your schedule. I’m available anytime."

Yue Chu didn’t stand on ceremony either. His time was indeed tighter, after all, as a working man, he didn’t have much freedom.

"Then let’s make it the evening of the day after tomorrow. I’ll send you the details of the time and place once they’re settled."

"Alright."

Now that he knew the secret of the Xie family, Yue Chu wasn’t going to sit idly by. He had important matters to attend to and no time to waste on small talk with Fang Tian.

"Thank you. I’m really glad to have made a reliable friend like you."

Fang Tian was overjoyed by the praise, especially coming from Yue Chu’s lips. It was almost impossible for him to resist.

The heavy black door slammed to the ground with a loud bang, shaking the entire Otherworld twice.

"I’m also very happy to have met you."

Yue Chu sent a smiley face, ending the conversation.

He looked out the window, where the sun had already climbed high in the sky, casting a soft, warm glow through the thin clouds. The lush green trees in the distance were tinged with gold, swaying gently in the breeze.

Squinting slightly, he stood by the window and took a deep, intoxicating breath. The fresh air carried a faint scent of flowers and grass, making his chest feel refreshingly clear.

A beautiful day begins with an encounter.

On the other side, Fang Tian wasn’t as leisurely. Although there were still two days left, he had already started preparing for their first meeting.

Village Entrance Tony, who had been chasing players in the Otherworld to cut off their heads, was summoned back. He stood there dumbfounded while just kept opening and closing his large scissors, and listening to his boss demand that he give him the most fashionable and suitable hairstyle.

Tony was baffled: He only knew how to cut heads, not hair!!

"Sir, the hot water is ready. Please… see if the rose petals are enough."

Da Xiao Long Brothers couldn’t find the words to describe their current feelings. They had been urgently summoned by Fang Tian, thinking there was some major task at hand, only to be told to pick the freshest and most vibrant roses.

Picking flowers was one thing, but when they tore off the petals and threw them all into the bath, they felt as if something had silently shattered.

Fang Tian, their boss, the "god" of the Otherworld, the terrifying demon feared by both the living and the dead, was actually going to take a rose petal bath.

The scene was too beautiful; they really couldn’t bear to look!

Fang Tian didn’t care what they thought. He looked disdainfully at the body he had chosen last time before reluctantly enduring the petal-filled water.

While soaking, he was also selecting the designs the Evil Spirits had prepared for him.

His demands were simple: it had to be handsome, and it had to charm Yue Chu!

The Evil Spirits were tormented by this nitpicking "customer god" who could turn deadly if he was in a bad mood. They would rather return to their original world and battle players for three hundred rounds than serve this peacock of a boss.

What’s with this love nonsense? It’s insane!

………

Café

Yue Chu finished settling the bill and headed towards the café entrance but deliberately turned sideways to bump into a noblewoman who was pushing the door open. This woman was none other than Fang Wan, the matriarch of the Xie family.

Of course, the chance encounter with Fang Wan was largely thanks to a tip from Fang Tian.

Yue Chu was extremely apologetic and quickly offered his apologies, "I'm sorry, it was my carelessness. Please don't take it to heart."

Fang Wan glanced at him indifferently but maintained her good manners by saying only a brief, "Be more careful next time."

Yue Chu looked up at her sheepishly, but upon seeing her, his expression changed dramatically, and he involuntarily took a step back.

This strange reaction caused Fang Wan to frown slightly, though she didn't inquire further. However, her friend Lu Xi, who had come with her, curiously stopped Yue Chu.

"What's this about? It's the first time I've seen someone look so terrified at the sight of us."

Yue Chu furrowed his brows as his eyes scanned Fang Wan up and down as if he had some doubts.

Hearing Lu Xi's question, he quickly averted his gaze, "Madam, if you know any eminent monks or Taoist priests, it would be best to invite them to your home as soon as possible."

After saying this, he hurried away without any intention of lingering.

Lu Xi watched Yue Chu leave, utterly baffled, and turned to Fang Wan with a puzzled look, "What... what did he mean by that?"

Fang Wan sneered as her slender phoenix eyes flashing with disdain. She had seen plenty of people who tried to mystify and deceive; this level of trickery wasn't enough to fool her.
