The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)
When Fang Wan returned home from the beauty salon, it was already midnight.
The vast villa was eerily quiet as not a sound was heard.
Xie Zhou, the Xie Family Head, had not been around for some time as he spent his days indulging in the tender embrace of his mistress and completely forgetting his responsibilities.
Without this Stabilizing Sea Needle, the entire villa seemed to be in disarray, like scattered sand that was unable to come together.
Fang Wan sneered, well aware of the thoughts of those around her.
In the Xie family, everyone was opportunistic, and now that her son had fallen out of favor, they had begun to entertain other ideas.
She didn’t care, because she knew that as long as she could control Xie Mingyu’s condition, any illegitimate children or mistresses would be of no consequence.
It was just a pity that her unfortunate son had to suffer such a fate.
At this thought, Fang Wan’s crimson nails dug into her palm, and a flash of hatred crossed her beautiful, arrogant face. If it weren’t for that wretched girl who had disappeared without a trace, her Mingyu wouldn’t have…
Her high heels stepped onto the soft carpet, the usually loud footsteps now completely muffled. Fang Wan’s figure floated like a ghost toward the second floor.
However, just as her snow-white lambskin heels touched the top step, she heard a gurgling sound in the darkness, as if something was eagerly feeding.
She paused for a moment before involuntarily recalling the shocked and wary look the young man had given her earlier that day.
Fang Wan pursed her lips that were painted with bright red lipstick and tightened her grip on her limited edition leather bag, and took a deep breath, driving those troubling thoughts from her mind. She felt as if she were losing her senses.
Under the warm yellow light from the wall, she strode toward the source of the sound. But what she saw next made her soul nearly leave her body. She could only tightly cover her mouth with her hand to prevent herself from screaming.
Her son, her precious child, was on all fours like a monster and greedily crouched over a servant while feeding on her blood.
When he saw her, he showed no fear. He lifted his blood-stained face. His large, vacant eyes rolled twice, as if he knew she posed no threat, and then hungrily returned to his feeding.
Fang Wan’s bag fell onto the carpet without even a soft thud. The only sound was the satisfied sigh coming from her son’s throat.
She stumbled and leaned against the wall with her well-maintained youthful face twisted with terror. Her full chest heaved violently, but she dared not even breathe loudly.
Weakly pressing her hand to her forehead, Fang Wan quickly regained her composure. She stepped forward, grabbed her son, and despite his resistance, pushed him into a nearby room.
Looking at the lifeless young girl lying in a pool of blood, Fang Wan closed her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, they were filled with calmness and ruthlessness.
…
Yue Chu was turning the Rubik’s Cube in his hands. His pace wasn’t fast, but the chaotic colors gradually began to align.
Glancing at the time, he finally placed the solved cube on the table, picked up his wallet, and headed out.
Today was the day he was supposed to meet Fang Tian. Although he had already seen photos, he was still curious about what the real person in this world would be like.
Thinking of the clumsy demeanor that had come through in their conversations, Yue Chu couldn’t help but smile slightly, finding it all quite amusing.
As the city lights began to illuminate the night, the evening breeze lost its previous coolness, becoming slightly warm and stuffy. The multicolored lights cast a hazy glow over everything, while the tall green trees lining the road swayed in the wind, sending a refreshing fragrance through the air.
"Fellow Daoist, please hold on a moment."
Yue Chu never expected that the act he had just performed two days ago would now happen to him. Narrowing his eyes slightly, he smiled softly as he looked at the delicate man standing before him.
The man's hair was somewhat dry and yellowish, reflecting an unhealthy hue under the lights. His brown eyes were gentle and clear, and his square face still bore a patch of unshaven stubble.
He was quite tall. Standing straight, wearing a faded blue short-sleeved shirt and slightly loose jeans, held up by a brown leather belt.
On his feet, he seemed to be wearing the latest AJ sneakers, but perhaps due to walking through unclean areas, the edges of the shoes were stained with yellow mud.
Yue Chu's gaze swept over the peach wood sword at the man's waist, and he pondered thoughtfully.
A smile spread across Yue Chu's lips as he looked at the man with a gentle and kind expression, which slightly eased Huang Song's initial tension.
Yue Chu: "Hello, may I ask what this is about?"
Huang Song carefully examined Yue Chu's facial features, feeling as if he were looking at a distant mountain shrouded in mist—everything was vague and unclear. The only thing he was somewhat certain about was the faint black aura between Yue Chu's eyebrows, indicating that he had recently been haunted by a ghost.
However, it was strange. Normally, when someone was haunted by a ghost, they would experience continuous misfortune and sleepless nights, leading to a very poor mental state. But this man seemed energetic and radiant, which made Huang Song somewhat unsure.
Still, adhering to the principle of caution, Huang Song earnestly explained, "Please don't take offense. I am a registered Taoist priest from the Changfang Taoist Temple. I happened to notice a black aura around you, suggesting that you might be haunted by a ghost."
"It's not too serious yet, but if this continues, it could harm your health. That's why I dared to stop you."
Yue Chu nodded with a light smile.
Haunted by a ghost? That was indeed possible.
"Thank you, Taoist Priest. What should I do?"
Huang Song took out a folded talisman from his pocket.
It was originally given to him by his master for exorcising ghosts, but since he had already completed his mission for this trip, he decided to give it to the man before him as an act of kindness.
"Please keep this close to your body. If you encounter the ghost again, it will surely be destroyed."
Yue Chu took the talisman and noticed its orange-yellow base with intricate patterns. The characters were indecipherable, and it was folded into a triangle with a complex technique, making it look quite authentic.
He thanked him politely, "Thank you, Taoist Priest. How much does it cost?"
Huang Song scratched his head. If calculated properly, the price would be quite high, but since he was offering it voluntarily, there was no need to be so meticulous.
"Just draw one randomly. However, if the ghost is eliminated, please donate a thousand to any charity of your choice. Is that acceptable?"
A thousand...
Yue Chu nodded calmly, took out his wallet, and let Huang Song draw a hundred yuan. Then, with a graceful smile, he bid him farewell.
The poor man had lost money again today.
He had come to realize that since arriving in this world, he hadn't had a single day of peace. Could this really be the system's revenge?
Now he truly understood the saying, "A single penny can bring a hero to his knees".
Being broke was indeed a painful thing.
Holding the talisman in his hand, Yue Chu casually tossed it into the trash bin as he passed by.
It wasn’t that Yue Chu didn’t believe in it, but… it just wasn’t necessary.
However, he didn’t notice that the yellow talisman, which had already been thrown into the trash bin, quietly floated out and slipped back into his pocket on its own.
Since it was their first meeting, Yue Chu splurged on a rooftop restaurant. Through the transparent glass, they could overlook the entire city, and the night view was exceptionally beautiful.
He had arrived early, but to his surprise, Fang Tian was already there before him.
As he observed the man walking toward him, Yue Chu’s eyes sparkled with a radiant smile, like starlight scattered across a lake.
Fang Tian had styled his hair meticulously, with it swept to both sides and fixed in place with hair gel. His suit seemed freshly pressed, fitting him perfectly and looking exceptionally sharp. Most notably, he wore a bow tie, which, paired with his white shirt, gave him a very formal appearance.
Yue Chu smiled and said, “You look very handsome, even more so than in your photos.”
Fang Tian was overjoyed, but he kept his expression tightly controlled, not daring to show even a hint of a smile.
He nodded slightly, appearing somewhat aloof, then stepped forward and shook Yue Chu’s hand. “You too. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
The handshake was brief—almost as soon as their hands touched, Fang Tian quickly withdrew his hand and subtly placed it behind his back.
Only when they returned to the table did he extend his hand again to pull out the chair for Yue Chu.
Yue Chu didn’t mind and simply nodded with a smile before sitting down.
The two of them sat facing each other, and for a moment, there was an awkward silence.
Yue Chu glanced at the menu and placed it in front of Fang Tian. “Let’s order first. We can talk while we eat.”
Fang Tian stared stiffly at the table, as if studying the patterns on its surface. Only when Yue Chu spoke did he quickly look up and glance at him.
“You order. I’ll eat anything.”
Yue Chu’s smile softened, and without further hesitation, he proceeded to order the dishes.
He looked at Fang Tian, noticing how the man sat rigidly upright with his gaze fixed on the table as if it were a hundred times more interesting than the person in front of him. Yue Chu couldn’t help but find it amusing.
This was completely different from how he was online.
“It’s our first meeting, and I’m actually quite nervous. Even though we’ve been chatting online for so long, I was still worried you might be disappointed when you saw me in person.”
Fang Tian suddenly looked up with a serious expression, and said in a deep voice, “No, I would never be disappointed in you.”
Yue Chu laughed. His fingers lightly tapping on the glass of lemon water in front of him and his eyes shining like stars.
He deliberately let out a sigh of relief and said with a smile, “I’m glad to hear that. It seems we won’t have a ‘meet-and-die’ situation, right?”
Fang Tian quickly nodded, and the earlier awkwardness seemed to fade, though his expression remained as serious and composed as ever, giving off an air of aloofness.
Yue Chu took out a box he had brought with him and slid it across the table to Fang Tian.
The box was beautifully wrapped, with a light blue paper adorned with delicate cherry blossom prints and a pink ribbon tied into a perfect bow.
“This is a cake I made. I hope you’ll like it.”
Fang Tian immediately stood up to accept the cake with both hands as if he were holding not a small box of pastries but a royal seal.
He held his breath, his gaze focused and his fingers stiff and pale while carefully masking the slight tremble in his hands as he solemnly put the cake away.
"Thank you, I really like it."
After saying this, he seemed to remember something and somewhat flustered, he took out a gift box he had prepared earlier and handed it to Yue Chu.
Clearing his throat twice, he nervously clenched his fingers and looked at Yue Chu with expectant eyes: "This is the gift I prepared."
Yue Chu raised an eyebrow, took it, and was about to put it away, as it seemed somewhat impolite to open a gift in front of others.
But just as he set it aside, he noticed Fang Tian's gaze instantly dim, and his entire demeanor lost the liveliness it had just moments before.
Really...
Yue Chu had no choice but to pick up the small brocade box and looked inquiringly at Fang Tian: "Do you mind if I open it now?"
Fang Tian's eyes lit up as a mix of nervousness and excitement flickering in them. After a moment, he managed to maintain a composed expression, nodded slightly, and made a gesture of invitation.
The square red brocade box had some weight to it, and the velvet texture felt soft and luxurious.
He opened the box to find a sapphire ring inside, the large gemstone dazzling and almost blinding.
Speechless, he abruptly closed the box and looked with a half-smile at Fang Tian, who was sitting across from him, anxiously awaiting judgment.
As expected, this guy had no other tricks up his sleeve.
Yue Chu: "It's very beautiful, but isn't it a bit inappropriate?"
Fang Tian hurriedly explained: "I didn't mean anything else by giving you a ring... I just thought it suited you."
Yue Chu chuckled, "That's not what I meant, but the jewelry is too valuable..."
Fang Tian, however, didn't think it was valuable at all. Compared to the cake Yue Chu had given him, a single gemstone was not enough to show his sincerity.
He looked earnestly into Yue Chu's eyes: "Please, you must accept it."
Yue Chu frowned in dilemma but couldn't bear to refuse Fang Tian.
After a moment of hesitation, he finally accepted it. Smiling, he took out his phone: "Shall we take a photo to commemorate our friendship?"
Fang Tian's eyes shone infinitely, like sunlight piercing through layers of clouds and gilding the entire dark earth.
His breathing quickened and his heart rate skyrocketing: Was Yue Chu going to announce him to his circle of friends?
Yue Chu sat next to him, placed the cake and the sapphire ring in front of them, and smilingly took a photo of the two together.
He smiled warmly and brilliantly, while Fang Tian was as stiff as a wax figure.
He opened the photo album to show Fang Tian: "How is it? Did it turn out okay?"
Fang Tian, whose CPU was already overheating from overuse, could only dazedly roll his eyes and nod.
Seeing that he had no objections, Yue Chu directly posted it on his social media in front of him: "Met with a good friend, thanks to the handsome guy for the gift, I'm very happy."
After posting, he turned to smile at Fang Tian: "Remember to like it."
Fang Tian... Fang Tian accidentally left his body for a moment and quickly returned.
He swallowed hard, feeling that this day was even more thrilling than he had imagined.
