Chapter 70: Saving the World with Green Tea Photos 03

The Green Tea is Always Targeting The Wrong Person (GREENTEA)

As the sky gradually darkened, Yue Chu lit a few candles, their warm yellow glow illuminating the room. Paired with the colorful wallpaper, the room felt somewhat cozy.

It appeared to be a child's room, with world and national maps hanging on the walls. Due to prolonged disuse, one of the nails had come loose, causing a small section to droop.

Aside from the bed and cabinet, the most prominent feature was the desk by the window. The books that once occupied it had been removed, leaving only a lonely pencil lying there, seemingly waiting for its owner to return.

In the corner, a few worn-out rackets and deflated balls were piled up. Yue Chu wiped off the dust with a piece of paper, faintly revealing the engraved name—Wang Yuanping.

For the sake of courage and convenience, they had divided into three rooms, with three people in each. The scattered Ladybug Cameras would capture each person's state in a three-screen live broadcast.

As night fell, the number of online viewers steadily increased. Many horror and supernatural enthusiasts were drawn in, giving the live stream a bit of popularity.

Yue Chu had no intention of sleeping on a dusty bed, so he had brought his own bedding and laid it out on the floor. He also prepared a spot for Feng Xuan.

Patting the soft Little Bear pillow, he smiled gently at Feng Xuan. "It's getting late. You can lie down here and rest for a while."

Jin Hui snorted disdainfully, thoroughly unimpressed by Yue Chu's pretentious behavior.

He hadn't thought much before coming and hadn't brought anything. Now, he could only shake out the dirty blanket, grimacing as he pinched his nose and lay down. However, the dusty and damp blanket still made him sneeze uncontrollably.

Feng Xuan softly thanked Yue Chu and tucked herself into the blanket but unable to resist squeezing the soft belly of the Little Bear.

It was so fluffy and adorable.

Since childhood, she had only been able to watch enviously as other girls wore beautiful dresses and cuddled cute stuffed animals. Everyone had told her she was too ugly to deserve such pretty things. She never imagined that one day someone would prepare something like this for her.

Feng Xuan subtly stole glances at Yue Chu with her heart racing as she admired his strikingly handsome profile in the candlelight.

Yue Chu was playing with his phone when he noticed her gaze, and his heart skipped a beat.

However, this wasn't a skip of affection but rather a shiver of unease.

To avoid a repeat of the previous world's events, Yue Chu walked over to Feng Xuan with his phone, gently tucking her blanket in and saying softly, "Don't be afraid. If anything happens tonight, you can wake me up."

Feng Xuan buried her face in the blanket and nodded lightly, too shy to look up at Yue Chu.

Yue Chu rested his chin on his hand and his gaze tender as he looked at her. "I've always wanted a sweet little sister to protect and cherish as an older brother. From the moment I first saw you, I felt there was some kind of special connection between us. If you don't mind, you can call me 'brother’.”

Being siblings would be safe.

Feng Xuan blinked her clear, bright eyes while looking at Yue Chu with shy admiration. After a long while, she finally whispered, "Brother Yue Chu."

Yue Chu felt relieved and gently ruffled her hair. The candlelight reflected in his eyes, like a bright star in the night sky, full of hope and light.

"Good girl."

With the weight off his mind, Yue Chu wasn't sleepy yet, so he lay there playing with his phone.

Just then, the phone screen suddenly froze for a moment, and then a friend request popped up: "Lover Hurt the Deepest" wants to add you as a friend.

Yue Chu didn't even look at it and wanted to click reject. The internet on Blue Star had this annoying habit of pushing all sorts of random stuff for no reason.

However, no matter how many times he clicked, the box remained stubbornly fixed on his phone screen and glowing brightly.

Yue Chu frowned and tentatively clicked "accept". Immediately, a new person appeared in his XChat list.

The profile picture was a patch of gray mist, which looked depressing just by glancing at it, perfectly matching this inexplicably appearing person.

Yue Chu opened his friend circle and saw that he posted at least three updates every day, and this had been going on for nearly half a year. Every post was about one person.

"Today he posted a picture, and his weight has dropped again. It breaks my heart. I need to prepare some hearty meals for him so he can eat well every day."

The accompanying images were one of the person's friend circle post and another of his meal order record.

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow and continued scrolling.

"Christmas is coming soon. He said he'll be spending it alone. It's so heartbreaking. I must give him a surprise gift to make him happy."

Yue Chu: ...

"He said the weather has been nice lately and he wants to go on a vacation but has no one to accompany him. So maybe I can... I need to plan a good itinerary for him so he can relax and enjoy himself."

The rest of the posts were pretty much the same—buying clothes, food, planning trips, or being on call for chats, pickups, and solving problems.

Yue Chu smirked slightly. This was truly the ultimate version of unrequited love, portraying the role of a humble "simp" to perfection.

However, when one green tea meets another, it's a tearful reunion. Yue Chu felt he still had a lot to learn. Look at this guy's dedication, tsk tsk.

After reading through, Yue Chu felt bored and wanted to delete this so-called "lover" but once again, the phone refused to cooperate.

Whatever, having one more person on the list wasn't a big deal. He casually placed the phone by his pillow and decided to sleep quietly.

But as soon as he closed his eyes, he heard a ding dong—the phone rang.

The sudden bright light from the screen in the darkness was glaring, making it impossible for Yue Chu to ignore.

His eyes narrowed slightly, exuding a cold impatience. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with this damn phone—it wouldn't even let him delete someone.

He reached out, picked up the phone, and glanced at it. A message popped up: "Who are you? Why did you add me?"

Yue Chu's eyes turned cold. This guy was actually turning the tables on him.

He opened the phone and started typing: "Don't know you. Let's delete each other."

There was a moment of silence on the other end before a reply came: "So you're a stranger. That's fine. There are some things I can't say to people I know, but I can say them freely to a stranger."

Yue Chu had no intention of being this guy's emotional dumping ground. He ignored the message and started looking for the delete button.

But there wasn't one. He could delete other friends without issue, but this "Lover Hurt the Deepest" simply couldn't be removed.

Yue Chu's gaze sharpened as his finger paused on the screen. He stared at the edgy name, lost in thought for a moment as his mind raced.

Suddenly, he changed his attitude and looked at the strange account with newfound interest.

"What do you want to say? Your pathetic unrequited love story?"

The other person seemed startled: "You... how did you know?!"

"Only a fool wouldn't see it from your circle of friends."

"You're really smart, unlike him, always so clueless that he is never able to see through my thoughts."

Yue Chu found it amusing; this was truly a loyal dog, willing to play deaf and dumb rather than lift that veil.

He chuckled softly while tapping his chin. Indeed, his past self had been just as detestable, which was why Du Guzhou and Xino had loathed him.

A mischievous thought crossed Yue Chu's mind, and the smile on his lips deepened. He deliberately gave an ambiguous reply: "Perhaps. After all, some people's IQs are just too low."

The other end seemed speechless.

The chat box showed "typing..." for a long time before a message finally appeared: "He's just so silly. Look, this is his latest post."

A photo came through. Yue Chu opened it and saw a handsome man standing in front of a shop window, gazing longingly yet helplessly at a luxury watch displayed inside.

Accompanying the photo was a caption: "Perhaps the distance between us will always be just this glass window. I yearn, but I will never ask for more."

It was a limited-edition Millennium Lotus, worth around four million. Naturally, it was something an ordinary person could hardly dream of.

Having once played the role of a "green tea" himself, Yue Chu immediately saw through the other's intentions.

After a moment of thought, he typed: "You want to give it to him?"

There was a pause on the other end: "I know you want to talk me out of it, but four million is nothing to me. As long as he likes it, that's all that matters."

Yue Chu raised an eyebrow. So rich, yet still unable to win the other over? Tsk tsk, he really wanted to see what this money-resistant god looked like.

"Sure, but I suggest you change your approach. After all, something so valuable—if you just give it directly to your noble god, he might not only refuse but also feel insulted."

The other end seemed to have found a kindred spirit, replying instantly: "Exactly! So what should I do?"

Yue Chu's eyes gleamed as he patiently typed: "Since it's such a precious gift, it must be presented on an important occasion."

"You like him, right? Why not make a public confession?"

"Invite his friends and yours, set up a romantic scene, and kneel down with the watch to confess your feelings."

"Wait, let me finish."

"If he agrees, it's a win-win. You give him the watch he loves and gain a devoted lover."

"If he doesn't agree, that's fine too. Just make your heartbreak clear, then say that even if you can't be lovers, you're willing to step back and remain friends."

"Of course, at that point, you can't give him the watch anymore. That would be forcing him, and it would make him look bad. Understand?"

"But..."

Yue Chu was setting a trap step by step. Luring the simp into it without them even realizing.

"I know what you're worried about. Don't be afraid. With your god's magnanimity, he won't hold it against you. On the contrary, you'll leave a deep impression on him. Even if you're just friends in name, your significance to him will no longer be that of an ordinary friend."

"Or, are you content to just watch him from afar forever? In a few years, he might not even remember your name."

Yue Chu was confident the other would take the bait.

A simp is a simp—it's not the same as being deeply devoted, because a dog pushed too far will bite.

"Simp" is a slang term used to describe someone, typically a man, who behaves in a servile, obsequious, or overly attentive manner towards a romantic partner or love interest, often with the hope of gaining affection or a sexual relationship.

The other end fell silent.

Yue Chu didn't wait for his reply. Instead, he smiled and put down his phone, leaving him to his dilemma.

The night grew deeper, and Yue Chu and the others had already fallen asleep. Fans who couldn't stay up for the live stream had turned on the recording, deciding to watch it tomorrow. Only a few night owls remained, energetically snacking and watching the live stream, feeling not the slightest bit tired.

At that moment, Xiao Lu, who had been sleeping on the bed, suddenly sat up stiffly like a corpse rising. Her shiny green hair fell over her face, obscuring her features.

Xiao Fen, who hadn’t been sleeping deeply, immediately opened her eyes at the noise and saw Xiao Lu walking out as if sleepwalking.

Feeling scared, Xiao Fen covered herself with the blanket, pretending she hadn’t seen anything.

After a while, it seemed like Xiao Lu had left the room. Only then did Xiao Fen cautiously peek her head out to look toward the open door.

Fortunately, aside from the pitch-black darkness, there was nothing there.

Xiao Fen got out of bed and nudged Eyeglasses Man, who was lying on the floor, telling him about Xiao Lu's strange behavior.

However, Eyeglasses Man was a coward, usually the least decisive, and now he was sweating profusely, like an ant on a hot pan.

Xiao Fen slapped him in disgust, questioning if he was even a man.

"Should we pretend we didn’t see anything, or should we go find Yue Chu and the others?"

Eyeglasses Man glanced at the dark doorway, not wanting to go out at all. He shrunk his neck and avoided eye contact before saying, "It’s probably nothing serious. Maybe we should just stay in the room."

Xiao Fen furrowed her slender brows, feeling hesitant.

But just then, the two suddenly heard a knocking sound coming from not far outside the door—thud, thud, thud—dull and rhythmic.

Each knock seemed to strike their hearts, making their scalps tingle. They nervously swallowed and looked toward the door.
